I have two ideas, actually. xD;

The first one is the idea I was going to write in July. But since things started going to you-know-where in a you-know-what about then...yeah. Didn't get it started, even. ^^;

BUT. That's what November's for, right?

...I know you all have like, zero info on it, so...yeah. I'll get to work on that. XD;

But! =D It has bounty hunters and and and TIME TRAVEL and RIDICULOUSLY LONG HAIR THAT IS SO GOLDEN IT COULD RIVAL GOLD ITSELF.

...No, this isn't about Rapunzel. The hair isn't THAT long. XD;

Alaia Moschella Alaia is the sole survivor of her village's tragic destruction by Raiders. This happened when she was an infant. She was taken in by wolves, and raised by them. When the day came for her to leave, a red wolf by the name of Ravusmane became her constant companion and protector. She is the only once who can understand him. She has hair like liquid gold, and her eyes change colour according to her mood, but are normally like two turquoises. When she cries, it beings to rain and kittens/puppies die.

Ravusmane Ravusmane is the red wolf companion of Alaia. When Alaia was old enough to leave the Pack, Ravusmane chose to follow her as her protector and friend. The two are inseparable; never spending a moment apart. One of the younger members of his (former) Pack, he is at the age when most young male wolves would be thinking of finding a mate and settling down. But Ravusmane seemed to find a kindred spirit in Alaia, for both of them seemed to have a longing for adventure and to see places beyond their Pack's territory.

Serenity "Ty" Blackwood

Her name may be Serenity, but her life is anything but. A mercenary/bounty hunter/assassin, she rarely has a moment of peace to herself, always off on some mission for some high-paying crime lord who wants to keep his or her own hands clean. None dare say it to her face (that sai looks awfully sharp, after all), but some whisper that her heart must be as black as the hair on her head to have done the horrible things she has, and show no remorse.[/td][/tr][/table]

Jack Boeshane Jack Boshane is a flirtface. It isn't uncommon for him to sneak off from his partner (Jillian) to "mingle with the locals" as he calls it. He passes it off on the claim that he's just trying to find sometimes-vital information, but he's fooling no one. His partner frequently must track him down and extract him from whatever situation he's managed to get himself into, and more often than not they must then fight their way out. However, when it comes right down to it, he's an excellent strategist and has masterminded many a plan. (Whether these go according to how they were planned, well... that's another matter altogether. Some claim he just makes them up as he goes, but he denies this.)

Jillian Boeshane Jack's partner and older-by-five-minutes sister. Much more level-headed than her brother, and a crackshot with a blaster. Careful with any hats you're wearing, she's liable to shoot it off, just to show how good she is. She and her brother are agents in the Timeless Protection Bureau*, and their missions more often than not involve protecting some important historical figure (or, sadly, if the case is such, making sure history stays on track be getting them to the right place at the right time for their demise. It's not a fun job, but somebody's got to do it.) When not bending the laws of time and space, they protect "little people" - regular, everyday people who have found themselves in trouble, either because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time, they owed someone money and couldn't pay it back, or whatever reason. In short, Jack and Jill are cosmic bodyguards.

The second one would be set in the real world. (Gasp! Birdy writing something that's NOT fantasy-ish? THE HORROR.)

The setting would most likely be an airport, right around Christmas. (Like, Christmas Eve, or something. Or the week of Christmas. ... You get the idea.)

Anyway, snowstorm moves in, and strands all the people. Yay!

So however many travellers (maybe half a dozen or so main characters? Dunno yet.) end up in the same terminal and engage in small talk. Eventually, they'd end up saying where they were going and why and stuff and finding out everyone's life stories, practically. xD; (You know, like is so stereotypical with this kind of story.)

Oh, and people will lie. =D Because they don't want people to find out the TRUTH~

And stuff. owo

So, yeah. Those are my ideas.

I'm really wanting to do the first one, because come on - I've been waiting months to do it. (And, I like the characters.) Thing is, I really don't have all that much planned - just the first three chapters (which'll be short, most likely), and some events I know are gonna have to happen somewhere along the line. I don't even have an ending, really.
Would it make it to 50,000 words? I don't know. There are too many gaps right now.

The second idea, however, gives me much more room to just make stuff up as I go, which is one thing I like to do. I think I'd be more likely to make the world count, but...

Meh, I have all month. I'll decide eventually. xD; (In the meantime, I'll keep developing ideas~ =D)

While plot-wise the second idea might not be as complex/interesting/fascinating as the first one, I was already all christmassy when reading the idea and instantly loved it. But that's me, an absolute Christmas-fan. However, I also love time travel... soooo....... XD

Anyway, I hope you find enough spirit to do the story you want to, but if you find you can't make any progress with the first one, you have the advantage that you can always simple switch to the other one *g*

SO I HAVE GOOD NEWS AND "BAD" NEWS.

I am making much progress with the first idea. =D (The one with the character bios.) I basically know where I want the story to go, yet there's plenty of room for improvisation. ^_^

So. The "bad" news?

It is Science-Fiction. owo *nods* And stars a Thief. =D Who is currently named "Thief", though that will change. owo

Thief is on a space station. Thief sees an alien - a species known for their gullibility. Thief sees an easy target. Thief steals a trinket from him, planning to sell it later, on another planet, or on the Black Market, or something like that.

A while later, after Thief has found a good hiding spot on his person in one of the many secret pockets his clothing has, he notices the alien from before, sitting alone,

...and crying.

Curious, Thief observes the alien for a bit, then finally decides to see what's up.

As it turns out, something very important to him had gone missing recently, and he was afraid it had been stolen. And not only was it important to him, as a family heirloom, but also to his people - his species - as a priceless, irreplaceable piece of history.

Thief begins to fell a bit uneasy, but pushes those feeling aside. What he took was just a cheap trinket - right?

But upon hearing the alien's description of the Item, Thief knows that without doubt, the missing Item is the "useless trinket" he earlier stole.

Now feeling the strange feeling people call "guilt", Thief agrees to help the alien look for his missing Item - planning to plant it somewhere and then "find" it.

All goes according to plan, and things settle back to normal.

Normal, that is, until the Item is stolen again - this time, by people with less of a conscience than Thief.

The alien begs Thief to help him - after all, he was able to find it last time, right?

Thief doesn't want to, but finally gives in and agrees to help the alien search.

Only now, things are getting dangerous...

...Yes. =D There will be thieves (duh), aliens (more duh), and scoundrels and secrets and lies and attempted killings and yes. =D
or at least, I think so. xD; Still planning. owo

And... can I say that I think an airport is the most fabulous setting imaginable? And I say that with complete and total sincerity? And even if you don't have a airport-snowstorm-storytelling-session the entire idea of a story set in an AIRPORT even if just for a little while is <--- smilies to represent emotion because Reve can't put into words how much she likes that idea.

There is just over a week until NaNo starts, and I still can't choose. D: I like all the ideas too much, I think. >_>

SO NOW IT IS UP TO YOU, DEAR NTWF.

That's right.

You will be picking my NaNo.

In this post you will find the summaries of my three ideas. Read them, think about it, and vote. You will have from now until October 31st at 11:55 PM to choose. _{At least, I hope so. Assuming I did the poll right, anyway. xD;}

So without further ado, here are the summaries.

Prophecies are curious things. So intricate and twisting; so many things even a small one can mean. Prophecies are also key cause of adventures, for heroes are oftentimes made to embark on one, after receiving a prophecy.

Such is the case of Alaia Moschella. After saving yet another village from the clutches of evil (with help from her faithful companion, the red wolf Ravsmane), an old seer approaches her and tells her that she must speak with her in private.

Upon entering the house of the seer, Alaia is given a prophecy and a warning: Be careful who you trust.

The seer then mentioned another seer, in a far-off city on the other side of the land, who could likely interpret it. Thanking the seer for the advice, Alaia begins her journey to find out the meaning of the prophecy. But it's not going to be that easy...


Enter Serenity Blackwood. A bounty hunter, assassin, and mercenary, she's always off on some mission for a high-paying crime lord or some other such rich person with a problem. Namely, another person. Whether the victim knows too much, has defected, or is just plain annoying, it's Serenity's job to make sure they are... “taken care of” so to speak.

As it turns out, someone from this far-off city has heard of Alaia's quest, and is determined not to let her succeed. So he calls on the one person he knows will be able to take her out: Serenity Blackwood. But doing this will prove to be more difficult than anyone thought...


Enter Jack and Jillian Boeshane.

Something like cosmic bodyguards from the future, Jack and Jill are given the mission to protect Alaia and make sure she is able to get to the city and find the meaning of the prophecy. Turns out, the future of the human race depends on it, or something.

Upon finding Alaia, however, they find she is already in the company of someone who just happens to match the description of the person they were warned to keep an eyes out for. A person who happens to be a skilled assassin: Serenity Blackwood...


Will Jack and Jill be able to help Alaia make it to the city and find the meaning of the prophecy, or will Serenity do her in first?

Only time will tell...

'twas three days before Christmas, and all though the 'port,
people were bustling, and the cheer was in short.

The weather was dreary – getting worse by the hour.
All dreaded to hear the report from the tower.

Would all flights be cancelled? Would stranded they be?
Only time would tell – they'd have to wait and see.

At a quarter past five the loathsome report came:
“All flights have been cancelled; we know, it's a shame.”

The people were angry, the moaned and the swore;
They walk'd 'round and grumbled, dragging their feet 'cross the floor.

But in one of the terminals, off away from the fuss,
six travellers gathered, and began to discuss

Where they were going, and where they have been;
If they were travelling alone, or travelling with kin.

Some travellers were truthful, others were liars.
They talk'd 'bout their wishes and hopes and desires.

As the storm raged on, they continued to speak,
sharing stories and memories; and though things looked bleak

They knew that the storm would eventually die.
The snow would stop, they would see the sky,

A White Christmas would be waiting for them just outside,
And all the children would stare at it with stars in their eyes.

And then the long-cancelled flights would resume,
and people would begin to fill the room,

And our travellers would then say their farewells
as off in the distance tolled the Christmas bells.

Then they with the knowledge that their paths would not again meet,
embraced one other after they got to their feet,

And called to each other as they walked out of sight,
“Merry Christmas to you, and don't forget to write!”

Aww. xD; *hugs* And I could, except I'd have to redesign everything, as Two is set in preset day, and Three is a bit in the future. ^^;

If it helps, I'm hoping to try and make some references to Celtic mythology/folklore in idea three? =D; _{Or at least have some stuff based off it.}
