Okay, now that that's out of the way...

You know? Lately, every time there is a new vlogbrothers video, I wonder why there isn't a nerdfighter club in the NTWF yet. I know there are a few nerdfighters in the forum, and I think it would be really fun to chat about the videos, and all sorts of nerdy things. =D

So today, as I was watching John read chapter two of The Fault in Our Stars, I figured that I should step up and make this thread.

So I guess that's a great conversation starter: Is anyone else really excited about TFiOS? I'm looking forward to reading it so much, but I haven't preordered it yet. >_> I should really get around to doing that soon! I want to make sure I get a signed copy. Is anyone else preorderng it, or has already preordered?

I...have not read any of John's books. I've heard Looking for Alaska is...awkward, to say the least, and not like something I'd enjoy, but Will Grayson, Will Grayson is apparently really good? I dunno XP I'm mostly a Nerdfighter through watching videos.

I still haven't watched all their videos yet, but I've seen quite a few. One of my friends got me into them, and they are pretty amazing.

I haven't watched all the videos either... I never really watched most of the oldest ones. I just found the vlogbrothers about two years ago or so, and ever since then I've been consisently watching the 'new' videos. XD

The only book I've read is Looking for Alaska, and it does have some pretty 'awkward' moments like you said, Tiger, even though they're not the focus of the story, but I understand if that would make you uncomfortable when reading book. Overall I think it was pretty good, I liked it.

But I think I'll like The Fault if Our Stars even more. I love the first two chapters, and I imagine it gets better, so I can't wait. I really want to read all the other books too, but the only way for me to get them is by ordering them online, and I haven't gotten to it. I'm an awful procrastinator at these kind of things.

I watched Hank's latest video today and it amused me a lot. XD There are some great quotes in there.

"If you're commited to the magician... magician? Mission! Mission, not magician. If you're commited to a magician, that's also fine"

I was laughing. XDD

And so I can say seriously, if you guys ever get a chance to go to a nerdfighter gathering, TAKE IT. I have never been hugged by more strangers, had more random nerdy discussions with strangers, or felt so loved by strangers in my life.

I've read Abundance of Katherines and Paper Towns, and I own Looking for Alaska but haven't gotten around to reading it yet.

I've only read Paper Towns, but I did enjoy it, and I plan to read his other works someday. Especially TFiOS. =D *also excited about it* John Green is coming to my state next month, and I want to go to his signing so badly, so I might just get the book there. !!! It's also a Nerdfighter gathering of sorts, so there'll be other stuff like Hank singing and John reading and rhfgdghsajjhsad *flails* I think I will probably freak out upon seeing them both in person, but it'll be worth it if I do. XD

EDIT: oh my gosh oh my gosh my dad said he'd drive us and now my sister and I are going to the Tour de Nerdfighting and we're preordering our books/tickets now and nothing can describe my excitement!!!! (except maybe this gif)
