I just wish I could write at all today. >_> I mean it doesn't much matter since I started early and I'm not gonna sweat over this stuff, but yeah, first two official days of this are not good for me. Technically I could write now but I'm way too tired and would probably just end up deleting the words come morning, in typical Carrie fashion. xD

...On the other side of the spectrum, am I the only one whose head is not in this at all? xD; It just doesn't feel like NaNo season to me! It's too warm! There's sunlight! And the fact that I have practically a whole month of unscheduled free time isn't helping. All through today I was going, "=D I can write any time of day I'd like"" and now oh hey it's midnight.

Same thing here, Tamia. xD; I've been writing (well, not today, but before now), but it's not a Nano type writing, not the same motivation. It feels more like writing because I have an idea, and it's fun, and if I work on it okay and if I skip a few days okay, because there's no urgency. As opposed to the "Do it for the sake of doing it" thing that comes with Nano.

I don't know that I've made it far enough into a real NaNo to get that sense. XD Story ideas and perusing the NaNo forums is enough to get my brain going, apparently.
'Course, it probably also helps that I'd been telling myself I needed to write a lot this summer before I even knew about Camp NaNo. This is just sort of my kick in the pants to actually do something about it.

Well, the different time's not a problem for me, I love writing in cold weather and it's lovely to not be worrying about exams, but. >.> In the first couple of days I'm normally gleefully surfing on a wave of ridiculous enthusiasm and it's the second day and I've had an awkward bit in the story already and been like 'meh' and stopped rather than going like 'HOW CAN I MAKE THIS AWESOME'. Abrupt lack of glee's hardly new, it just normally it takes a wee bit longer than that.
... Buuut I'm about eighty percent sure that's a combination of not being able to write in the morning, being tired from the week and feeling the absence of a Cielshade. xD So. Once I buy some marshmallows and energy drinks I can probably get into this decently well. Huzzah.

*flails* I didn't write for two days in a row and now I'm behind wordcount for the first time this month. Oddly, these two days were right after one of my best writing days (in terms of quality if not quantity) so far.  But I shall press on! With DETERMINATION. |

Ha ha, me too! xD; ...Except it's been three days for me.
But knowing that someone else has been in nearly the same boat actually gives me new encouragement! =D I was honestly about ready to pack it in. The board seems kind of dead now, and I've been losing the motivation that came with its activity in the first week. But if you can keep plowing ahead, then maybe I can too. Let's do this!

I've been writing little bits on and off. Definitely not gonna 'win', so to speak. I think it's just really hard to get into the Nano mindset in summer, especially because the whole fervor surrounding regular Nano just... isn't there.

I wrote yesterday too! =D Five pages. Again, not enough to catch up, but I'm hoping to hit par tonight.
...I think ScriptFrenzy's a bit easier as far as catching up goes, though. Even with all the time spent fussing over formatting and researching and stuff, it only took me about two and a half hours to write nearly twice my daily page count, whereas it would take me... a lot longer to write 3334 words. xD;

I win for not writing for two weeks. xD I am at slightly under 2k total. =D
...the thing is, I know it's possible for me to hit the 50k goal anyway, if I care and try. *shrug* So I am just treating this as 'whatever I don't really need to care about this as much as NaNo itself where I'm racing everyone to win fastest/most'. Which is probably a good thing.

Looks like August is coming up, and AugustWriMo. This is the perfect time for me to fit writing into my schedule, since my classes end early that month and I'll be wrapping up other things. The only problem is now I can't seem to get into the groove nor decide what to write. ^^; But I wanna do something. If I can just figure this out before this month ends, I'll be able to start planning...
