(Whoops, sorry! I'll fix that right away) (EDIT: Fixed!) By now, Ari was listening intently to what Meowington was saying. She had to know what was going to happen to him. She was shaking in her seat as she listened. If Meowington was killed - oh! It would shatter her heart. Then, when the day came that silly class stuff didn't matter anymore, there would be no Meowington to confess to. For only one second, she wished she were of his status, because like this, she couldn't just run up to him proclaiming she liked him. Her family would disinherit her. And she couldn't have that.

Celes approached the bench on which Joseph Maximillian III was sitting. She had seen him before but she never bothered to properly introduce herself. Now was a good time as any, the girl figured. "Hello," she said. "Awful weather we're having. Of course, it's a perfect match to an already awful day." She looked down at the bench and then back at Joseph. "My name is Miss Celes Teal. It's a pleasure to meet you. Do you mind if I sit down?" Joseph Maximillian III was so startled; he’d nearly dropped his porcelain cup and saucer that he’d been drinking tea out of, when Miss Celes Teal spoke to him. Ordinarily, he would have screamed in her face and later have Meowington write a strongly worded letter of disapproval to her house, indicating that it was neither polite nor appropriate for a civilian to act in that manner, but quickly realising that it was a young lady he hadn’t been acquainted with before, he decided to put off doing such a thing for the moment. Instead he simply stared at the young lady, scrutinizing her appearance and every detail of her in silence. His countenance changed after some time when he noticed that she was in-fact an upper-class citizen, like himself. “Ah, Good day to you, madam,” he said and tipped his top hat in greeting. “Yes, I had so very much hoped to take a blissful stroll after hearing that the day was to be sunny. But I suppose these civilians just cannot be trusted to do anything, eh?” he laughed, loud as always so that everybody would take immediate notice of him. After taking a long sip of tea, he stretched his arm and inclined it towards the empty bench space. “By all means sit. Far better you than the riff-raff that plagues this town, that’s for certain.” He chuckled once more before continuing, “Miss Celes Teal, it is most wondrous to make your acquaintance, my name is Master Joseph Maximillian III – heir to the Maximillian fortune, no less.” “It was most terrible to hear about that ghastly murder. I didn’t much know the unfortunate victim; were you at all acquainted with her?”

Madame Ginz's eyes widened upon hearing Meowington's worries. If it had been anyone else who asked, she would have thought twice before telling. But she considered Meowington a friend. He was always polite to her, and that's all she asked.
She leaned closer to him to whisper her answer to him. "Indeed I have, Mr. Meowington. I think I know who the next victim will be."
She made a pause as she fidgeted with one of the tips of her sequin embroidered shawl. She knew she couldn't leave her friend in the dark now.
"I don't know her by name, but I wouldn't forget her face," Ginz finally continued. "Blonde hair. Always carrying a camera around. It is her that I saw on my vision, and it is for her that I fear."
Having said that, Ginz covered her mouth with both hands, as if she had told a secret that shouldn't have been revealed.
"Meowington, I discovered my gift as a seer when I was just a little girl. But never before had I wished to be wrong."

Ari instantly stopped shaking. Meowington was safe - for now.
But the camera girl...Ari wondered if she should warn her. But then again, if she did, the girl would probably panic, and one of two things could happen. The killers would think Meowington or Ginz had leaked the secret and kill them instead (and Ari cared about them more than a girl she didn't know), or she would have to reveal that she was listening to Meowington to find out what would become of him. People would find out her feelings, and she would be disinherited.
Both of the options were disasters. She hoped Ginz would warn this girl, because Ari was too scared to do anything.

"Oh, I can't say much," Chane sighed to Terra, preparing Draco's meal. "You've heard about the murder, haven't you? It's terrible. Terrible, terrible, terrible." The strong odors of grease and mayo hovered in the air around her, eventually dominating the deli. "I wish I could do something, you know, but unfortunately I'm not the vigilante type." She sighed exasperatedly. A few moments passed and the chicken was ready. She deposited the oily, crackling mess on a cracked blue plate, drizzled it with mayo, and gave it to Draco. "Enjoy, sir."

"Yeah...I don't know what to think," Terra said to Chane. "I mean, there's been so much crime around here lately, and now someone's been murdered...and by who? It could be anyone." She sighed, mentally going over all the people she knew in this town. She didn't want to think that any of them would do something like this, but you never knew who could suddenly go unhinged one day.
"What do you think about starting a neighborhood watch?" she said. "I've been talking to a few people about that. Well, mostly one person, actually...but we could talk to more. I'm not exactly a vigilante, either...but it'd be better than nothing, you know?"

Chane stared pensively at Terra, weighing everything in her head that needed weighing. "I don't know," she said, cringing. "I don't think it's safe. Aren't we more likely to get killed if we go out searching for the homicidal maniac?"

Candy yawned. "Hey, Chane," she said.
She smiled at Terra, and said, "Well, I want to pay for you guys, alright? So buy whatever."
Candy rummaged around in her tote bag, before pulling out sheets of stickers. She ran around, sticking a sticker on each person's head, before stuffing the stickers back in her bag.
"I think the neighborhood watch is a good idea," Candy murmured.

Celes smiled and nodded at Joseph Maximillian III's comments about the civilians. Certainly it applied to that accursed weatherman. She could not remember the last time that he was actually right about anything.
"Indeed. It is so hard to find anybody competent these days and you certainly cannot find it around here. Albert here is the only one I trust. Of course, his family have been tied to mine for centuries now so he's had plenty of training," she replied with a small laugh at the end.
She sat down beside Master Maximillian, smoothing down the folds of her dress. Her butler deftly maneuvered into position behind her, watching over the girl with the umbrella in hand.
"Please, call me Celes. We are equals after all," Celes said sweetly.
Heir to the Maximillian fortune? She thought as much, although she certainly did not expect to find him here of all places. Small towns tended to attract the upper classes, usually because their proximity to the countryside was much less than in the city.
However, as the mention of the murder, Celes shivered. It was a fool's hope but she had hoped not to have to think about that too much today. But she felt it rude to deflect that question. Only choice was to answer it. Thank goodness for Bert's comforting hand landing on her shoulder.
"Goodness no...I would never associate with somebody with her reputation," she said, hesitating before continuing, "It is dreadful though, what happened. I do not even want to think about what is going to happen to this town now."

Ariana looked over at Celes and Joseph. She knew Celes a little bit and liked her alright, but she didn't care for Joseph much. He was too insensitive for her. But his butler, on the other hand...
No. She should not think about Meowington any more. It was one of those things that would never ever work out. Plus Joseph would find out, and Joseph would forbid it, because that's how he seemed to her.
She picked up her painting things and headed back home, waving to Celes on the way.

"More rain coming today - Highs in the mid to upper 50's" read the latest forecast from Quintrell; he was sure this one would be right, given that skies above Netwaffle remained gloomy and overcast as they have been over the past few days.
While he struggled to predict the weather accurately, Quintrell did have a skill in keeping a low profile, something he certainly was doing since the murder of Hunty. He had been in and out of the town square several times today, and nobody paid him any attention; in fact, it was his belief that nobody even knew he was there. While he would have preferred to interact with some of the citizens, he had decided that it was not wise to attract attention to himself. Given the rumors he was hearing of a neighborhood watch being organized and the possibility of another murder to be happening soon, he was sure he should stay hidden for a while yet.
As he sat on a bench near the town square fountain, Quintrell took in a deep breath and enjoyed the refreshing smell of the cool, moist air. It was quite familiar to him, as it was the kind of smell that usually precedes a rainstorm. Quintrell always did enjoy a nice rain shower, and he would be quite glad to see it today, making his first accurate forecast in weeks.

"Meowington, I discovered my gift as a seer when I was just a little girl. But never before had I wished to be wrong."
Meowington was a little bit shocked to hear who was in Madame Ginz's vision, but he contained his composure. He opted for a frown on his face, instead of a shocked look. He knew of the camera-using blonde she had described, and he was not at all impressed. In fact, he was a little bit worried.
"Madame, I am quite confident everything turn out alright," he lied. "It's important during this time to remain calm and collected. But thank you for sharing your vision with me." He took out a gold coin from his pocket and gave it to her as a gift.
He noticed from the side that Ariana was looking at him. They exchanged glances, and Ari quickly turned away. There was something different about her... it was almost mystifying. Intriguing. What could it be? Could she be of the mafia? It was possible, anyone in the town is a suspect. But perhaps that wasn't it. She was looking at him differently. He just didn't know.
He looked at Madame Ginz, who was watching him watch Ariana. Somewhat startled, the fortune teller started to speak to him in a familiar tone: I've noticed Miss Ariana watching you lately. Sometimes people try to say with looks what they can't say with words."
He looked at her, and took a step backwards. What did that mean? He was always just the butler. Nobody notices the butler unless he is needed or made a mistake, otherwise he is simply invisible. What did that look mean? He's never seen it before. Was it a good look, or a bad look? He took out a piece of paper from inside his coat pocket and nodded at seeing one of the numbers printed on it.
He looked up at the fortune teller and frowned. "I unfortunately just remembered of an urgent matter I must attend to. Thank you for your wise words, Madame. Good day."
He briskly walked back to Maximillian Manor, and went straight to the Butler's Pantry. He picked up the phone, and dialed one of the numbers from his paper. "Peter?! Yes, it's Parker. What do you know about Miss Ariana Kellen from the Netwaffle? I can't be sure, but my life may be at risk..."

Drake munches his lunch while listening to the girls talk. After finishing about half his meal his wipes his mouth and looks at them, after peeling a sticker off his head.
"A neighborhood watch could come in handy. That way we can all watch each other and the others around us. Of course that can also cause a panic. Just imagine how people will accuse each other, then the chaos truly begins."
He takes a few more bites of his meal.
"Then who do we worry about? The Mafia will be the least of our worries, especially when we start turning on each other."
He finishes his meal.
"The point is, we need to be careful. I can tell there are a number of people who will panic over anything."
He stares out the window at the people in the town square.

Madame Ginz gratefully accepted the gold coin that Meowington offered her. She wasn't proud enough to reject such generosity, especially when she hadn't been lucky enough to be born in the upper class. Not that she had a reason to complain. She was content with how things were... or at least she was before the attacks started happening.
After exchanging a few last words with Meowington (hoping she could hint him into realizing Ariana's feelings for him), the butler bid her goodbye and left.
Now that she had told someone about her premonition, she felt like the weight on her shoulders had lessened, but it hadn't disappeared. She still hadn't seen the photographer, and she still hadn't made up her mind on whether she would warn her personally or not.
Ginz was about to head back to her tent when she saw the weatherman, sitting alone on a bench near the fountain. His forecasts were like her predictions in a way, you never knew if they'd come true or not. She decided to talk to him.
"Hello," she said as she approached him, "Care for a palm reading?" she offered.

Luna walked through town until she saw the Netwaffle Deli. She checked in her wallet if she had enough money to buy a sandwich, and after seeing she did, she put the wallet back in her pocket and walked into the deli. She was then expectantly hit with the smells of various meats and things.
She looked around to find Drake, Candy and Terra in the deli. She walked to where she could order, giving a small wave and a smile to all them in the deli, and pulled out her wallet.
She looked at Chane. "Hello, I would like a smoked turkey sandwich with Swiss cheese and mayo. How much will that be?" She asked, with her wallet open.
