This is so absolutely amazing that I just have to share it! A working crescent wrench made from a printer - unbelievable! You can read more about 3D printing at www.publicknowledge.org/files/docs/3DPrintingPaperPublicKnowledge.pdfEvery day, technology becomes more scarier and scarier, but give it a few years and this concept of printing will become the norm. I can't wait for this kind of technology to become readily available to the average citizen.

My dad showed this to me yesterday. Then my mom saw it. Her eyes lit up and she yelled out: "STAR TREK!"

That is cool. @_@ The part where it can replicate the moving parts blows my mind.

I remember seeing an episode of CSI:NY that used the technology (or something similar) to replicate a bullet in order to solve a case. To hear that we can now create working tools is just amazing.

I want one. Now if only it could replicate chocolate... A friend was telling me just last night about a printer that prints chocolate =P You design a chocolate piece, and it creates it in 3D. The future now comes in chocolate ^^

Holy narwhals. My mind has been blown into thousands of pieces. I wonder if it could scan a drawing that was so good that it would print out an actual 3d model of what's in the drawing. I'm kind of scared of it. o__o
They also have flying cars now, there will be one released next year, as I heard on the news.
THIS WORLD. SO ADVANCED.
