Have done since the day he was born. <3 He may get sick of his geeky older sister when he hits puberty in a few years, but I'll always love him. =3 As for my older sister, she and I are much closer in age (2 years) and until she hit puberty we got along really well. We were both quiet, polite children and then she got teenage angst and I couldn't understand why my sister didn't wanna hang out with me anymore. It was 'cause I wasn't cool. xD Nowadays we're not very close, and we have the odd argument, but we're pretty peaceful people. When I was a teenager we'd have our moments, but mostly I would just let it go and allow her to "win" in the name of peace, because Ray's the sorta person who just won't back down from an argument. I hardly see my step-siblings. *shrugs*

My mom told me that I was super jealous of him when I was younger, with the whole "You like him better than me!" thing. xD I still think that sometimes....I'm trying to avoid him these days. I stay on the computer, he hides in his room, and we don't talk. It's working well, though I can't say it's good for sibling relations xD I've always wanted a sister, to be friends with and chat and all that. When my husband moved out of the house, he and his brother (four years younger than him) started getting along much better. Sometimes siblings aren't meant to live in close quarters. It doesn't make you a bad person.

Mmkay, I guess that's true. I don't think I'll ever get along with my brother and there's probably no forcing it. My brother and I are both stubborn and refuse to let the other have the last word, so it'll probably smooth out when I leave for college and we've no time to fight..

Eee, Storyteller's Club. =D Do you all get along with your siblings? xD (As in, back when you were my age) My brother and I fight constantly; it gets so bad, my mom has threatened to separate us and force one of us to move somewhere else =/ My mom told me that, when I was about two, she and my dad were considering having a second child, so they asked me if I wanted a younger brother or sister. Apparently I said, "Can I have an older brother?" XD But when I was told that that wasn't an option, I decided that having a younger sibling would be cool too. I was super-excited after my brother was born - there's this videotape of him as a baby sitting on the sofa, still too young to move around much by himself, and me playing peek-a-boo with him. =D We had a lot of good times playing together as children, although we did fight over silly things like lego blocks and potato chips. But my parents were in general very fair - every time they bought me something, they would buy my brother something too, and vice versa. After I went to college though, we kind of drifted apart. We're Facebook friends, and I hang out with him when I go home to visit, but our relationship is definitely very different now. Sometimes siblings aren't meant to live in close quarters. It doesn't make you a bad person. Yeah, you don't get to choose what kind of person you want to be your sibling. I guess I was lucky. =3

My parents didn't bother asking. I just remember when my brother was a few days old and my parents were fussing over him 24/7. I was told to do my work and allowed to play games or watch TV, but I was extremely jealous of the attention he received. It felt as though my parents were bored of me and had someone new to take my place.
Well, it's been practically a decade, and I can't say my attitude towards my brother has changed much. =/
On another note, does anyone have ideas on how to counter insomnia? >> I stay up wide awake until like, midnight, and then it takes me a long time to actually fall asleep. I wake up in the middle of the night and lie there, wide awake. And then I get up at around six. It's been almost a week with this pattern, and I'm fairly sure it's not doing any favors for my health.

I have trouble sleeping as well. I do use it to my advantage though. The early hours of the morning when I absolutely cannot sleep is when I feel I can write decent stuff. Sometimes I just write and write without stopping and before I know it, an hour has passed and I've wrote a whole page on MS Word. When I get up early though, I find that I can write decent too. Unfortunately, I don't get up early that often XD I need to shower and then get ready for work. Boo. Work
