I'm having the darndest time trying to think of a new name for the heroes' team in my story. Basically, they're a group of space rangers and peacekeepers who use advanced technology to try and stop war on their home planet. Currently, they're called the Spectrum Force, but I'd like to have something a little more original and possibly usable for the title. Would anyone happen to have suggestions? ^_^;

Cosmic Commanders (sounds like a superhero team XD)
Jet Force (ehh this is probably trademarked XD)

I really like Jet Force, but unfortunately it's taken by the game Jet Force Gemini. xD; As for the others:
Cosmic Command(ers) - Taken by a video game
Solar Rangers - Taken by some company in the Yellow Pages or something.
Spectral Division - Might be taken?
Galaxy Guardians - Taken by numerous sources.
Comet Force - Available
Gamma Guard - Taken by a head tape company
Silver Star Squad - Available
Warp Heroes - Available
Here are some other ones I thought of just now, by looking at yours:
Galaxy Guard - Taken by a computer game
Galactic Guard - Taken by a Star Trek forum
Star Striders - Taken by star-striders.com
Nova Defense - Taken by an Australian company
Gamma Force - Taken by a women's shoe brand
Of the available names, I think I like Silver Star Squad the most, if only for the creative potential of their symbol (SSS). If we can't think of any better names, I could go with that. :3 Thanks, Lupehunter.
(It does seem like three-word names are less likely to be taken - probably because of the larger combination possibilities.)

Good suggestions, Pac. ^_^ Let's take a Google rundown:
Starleap Squadron - Available, though it's worth noting that Starleapers seems to be a flash game
The Cometeers - Taken by a series of science fiction novels
The Lightshaft Defenders - ...The risk of innuendo is too great. xD
Stellatory Command - Available
Starchrome - Taken by an appliance company
Also, according to Wikipedia, Silver Star has been taken by a lot of different things, so I probably won't use it afterall. I've since renamed the team from Spectrum Force to Spectrum Chasers, mostly so that I can refer to the heroes simply as Chasers rather than "Spectrum Force members".
By the way, if anyone reading this thread would like to use one of the brainstormed names, feel free to. :3
