By natural law, every man’s right of freedom stands independent and without interfering others. Said law’s enforcement transfers equally to all, but delegating authority to a government head ensures safety of man and his property. He may also sacrifice natural freedom for society based upon nature’s hindrances, concerned only of the commonwealth thereafter. Legislation must then benefit only the people, governing for only them and listening to their consent. If ever a legislator or man puts upon society laws against the people’s wish, society shall choose to overthrow such misguided power. Society works for the commonwealth, and power against it shall fall away back to the people’s hands, who continue to shape their community.

A summary of John Locke's Social Contract or something. Wrote it for government class under the précis format. It means it has a 150 word limit, but we had a cushion of 200 words. This turned out to be 114 words regardless :3
