Good luck on all your entries, guys! I was planning to submit mine today, but... I just got word back on the status of my frozen account and I'm considering waiting to see if I get it back, so I don't end up submitting from an account that may soon be a side again. x.X; If I wait another week, am I still safe to be considered for publication, or is that stretching it? That should be no problem. Good luck with your account!

Eeeeeeeee!
No matter how many pieces I submit to the NT, I never get tired of hearing that something's been held over.
Such is the magic of the Neopian Times ^^

It would be pretty awesome if I made it into the five hundredth issue, as it's the day after my birthday... Then again, I definitely don't have the hubris to think I deserve it, and I'm sure there will be a huge stack of "WOO 500!" and AC-related comics that need to be published while they're still topical.

Whew! I worked really hard on an article. I just finished it! I think I'll wait to submit it for a couple hours and do one last check. *soo nervous*
One question too, can we mention/support our guild in an article? Would that be shameless advertising?

My comic involves characters reading old issues of the NT, and at one point they're quite obviously reading Really Confused. Is that even allowed? ^^; Stoneman's not been on the site in ages, so needless to say, I didn't get permission for this cameo.
If it's not, I'm sure I could have them reading something else, but I'd need time to redraw it. I just went with RC 'cause everybody remembers it.

Another question- this time about HTML.
Do I have to format the bold and italics? It doesn't seem to show up on the submission form.
In the FAQ on neopets its says: No, this is all done by us, you just need to enter your text and we will format it for you.
I assume paragraph breaks we don't have to format?
Funny thing is, I should know. But I don't remember. xD

Paragraph breaks are formatted on their own, however you'll have to add in your own bold/italics.
The "<" and ">" brackets don't go through the submission though, so use square brackets "[" and "]"

Thank you! I need to fix the brackets. Good thing you told me. Also, would it be okay to mention a guild in an article?

Dear Peach, Thank you for submitting to the Neopian Times. Currently your submission (Me and I) is being held over and may be considered for future publication in the Neopian Times. There is no need to submit your submission again, as it is saved by the editor. oh yeahhhhh

Thank you! I need to fix the brackets. Good thing you told me. Also, would it be okay to mention a guild in an article? That should be fine; NTAG members used to write collaborative articles in which they would mention the guild, if I remember correctly.

Alright, thank you! I submitted my article. *crosses fingers*
It's 500 milestone themed, so we'll see how that goes...

Since nobody else seems to be answering, I'll take a crack at it. My guess is that you'd probably need permission if it's really blatant. That is, if the title "Really Confused" is specifically mentioned, or specific character names and events from the comic are portrayed, etc., then that's something you'd need permission for. On the other hand, if you're just vaguely alluding to the comic then it seems like it might slide. I could be wrong, though. I am not TNT nor do I play them on TV. :B
