I'm confused about why everyone's worried about Karkat. Wasn't the "demonstration" supposed to involve bringing him back to life? And don't they need him to talk to Echidna?
Also I really want to see Rose again >_> I had been assuming that it was along the lines of "Hey, we're going to kill you so that when we do bring you back to life you don't have any backup saves, so don't get any funny ideas", but I might have misinterpreted that >>
And I can second you on Rose. Though I also really want to see what the glitched-out LOLARscape looks like, those panels are begging to appear as some sort of pastel Missingno Yeah - I was kind of thinking that too. xD But that's no guarantee that he'll actually die, so I'm not gonna worry about that unless it actually happens. >_>
And yeah, the glitchscape would be really cool to see. I love that sort of thing. |

Just caught up on the updates. Things are getting interesting it seems XD

While at Anime Expo, the Homestucks were swarming around everywhere. But this year they seemed to have blended in more then last year. I missed the cosplay gathering too. But only because my camera's batteries died, and I had to go across the con to my bag with the extra batteries >.> (was at another gathering taking pictures, and the HS gathering was in the same place right after) I did manage to snag a few shots of random ones walking around though XD

Things have been getting interesting lately (and I'm not talking about the green stuff). Is it me, or does it seem like, slowly, all the Alpha trolls have something up with them? I mean, Aranea seemed like the most normal of them all in a way XD Now she has Gamzee as a minion and doing some shady looking work.
...At least she kept the awesome outfit. |

Aranea........ I love Jade. Seeing her killed stinks. However, Aranea did the right thing........ Sort of.
She had a point, if she didn't kill Jade for good, there was a good chance she would wake up and go Grimbark and cause problems again. Sure she might be normal for a moment, but then her mind is taken over again.
Her death wasn't Heroic or Just. However Aranea's luck powers pushed it to Just, since it was a Just Kill because Grimbark Jade would cause issues.

Now getting to where things could change. I see 4 possible outcomes here.
Jane's Life Powers, can it break perma-death?
Dave's Time Powers, can it save Jade?
John's Weird Whatever Powers, he changed things before. He could do it again.
Jake's Hope Powers. A bit unknown, but... There's a chance his Hope can somehow bring her back, or can even keep her from going Grimbark (was hoping it would do that from the start anyhow).
So, I'm holding out for Jade's return. I mean, I can see Hussie killing her off for good... He likes doing that... But at the same time, I think Jade can still play a higher role alive then dead. |

So I just finished catching up on Homestuck. Which I started promptly after camp when enough of my friends were telling me "It gets better, really!". The past few developments have really been exciting.
Also, I although I was horrified at Jade's fate, her being one of my favorite characters even when I only knew of her text, I think it would actually be quite worse to be revived in her Grimbark state and be forced to kill and torture those close to her. Death in Homestuck doesn't mean a character is gone. Also, the seen with Calliope kinda melted my heart.

So, for those of you who don't know: Andrew has announced the hiatus to end all hiatuses. Literally. When this one is over, he's intending to release the rest of Homestuck all at once.
I'm kind of in shock. I sort of theoretically knew that we were in the winding-up phase, that Homestuck couldn't go on for ever and probably couldn't even go on for that much longer, but suddenly knowing that there will only be one more upd8, ever... it just makes it feel four thousand per cent more real.
No more seeing an apparent character death and waiting days, not knowing whether I'm hoping the comic will update or whether it won't. No more seeing something dramatic happen in the early hours of the GMT morning, when nobody else in the world seems to be awake, sending my best Homestuck-reading friend eighteen dozen offline MSN messages reading some variation of "wake up. WAKE UP. Why aren't you awake yet? STRIIIIIDERRRRR!" No more looking through gorgeous, speculative, obsolete-and-proven-wrong-within-the-week update art on Tumblr. No more having my notifier pop up with a picture of a goggle-eyed cartoon Vriska when I'm in the middle of watching a very emotional anime scene on my laptop. No more shouting "WHAT?" (or, indeed, "What.") and knowing that thousands of people are feeling the exact same way.
I appreciate Andrew's reasons for doing this, of course; I can see why his previous schedule might have been stressful, and why he'd appreciate being able to put these last days together as a complete project. I'm just kind of grieving for the end of that era, I guess.

I think hes ready to finish homestuck. Hes done with the trolling, and is just wanting to finish it, so he can move onto Namco high.  |
