The first thing I'd like to post is an image from a series called "In a matter of days" by Chris White: www.themorningnews.org/archives/galleries/monsters/02m.phpIf you want something disturbing you can always count on the modern school of sculpting known as hyper-realism: You may have already seen 'The Young Family' by Patricia Piccinini, which was passed around hoax emails as a 'human animal hybrid': Or there's Ron Mueck, who uses his considerable skill in copying reality to make disturbingly unreal peices: Then you have the bleak, apocolyptic art of Polish surrealist Zdzislaw Beksinski. Someone put together a really nice slide show He seems very influenced by H. R. Giger (though there's no way I could get away with posting Giger ).

Nightmare Fuel? Hooboy, I have a whole collection of Nightmare Fuel. Wain's Kaleidoscope cats are of course, always interesting. Louis Wain was a British artist who developed schizophrenia later in life and became hospitalised at a very famous mental hospital. While there, he drew the cats he was famous for, but as you'll see the worse his disorder got, the more strange the art got, and the more menacing the cats became. This was actually a real person, and I suggest googling the story - it's pretty interesting. Here's a progression. And in a similar vein, here's another picture by a schizophrenic (or at least that's what I heard, I'm not actually sure who the artist is). This is one where the image itself is actually creepy. I'll post more when I come across them, I have a whole folder of creepypasta. NOM NOM NOM, delicious pasta

I've posted about it before, buuut... the whole Slender Man thing is awesome. Also, Sock, those pics of the cats getting weirder and weirder are really cool! The other picture is very, very disturbing D:

The first image in the set in that link is cruel to the little...whatever it is, but the next few images just look like slice-of-life photos. The Young Family looks like a sweet maternal scene to me. And that Polish artist's work is really cool more than scary. I've liked most of the art here so far, actually. Of course, if you want some good nightmare fuel, The SCP Foundation (language warning) is brimming with it. Be careful if you click, because it's almost as addictive as TV Tropes. Just a few to get you started are SCP-173 (the original inspiration for the site), SCP-439, SCP-611 (disturbing image warning), SCP-966, and SCP-370.

Yeah, I adore the weird little critters that Patricia Piccinini does. Honestly, the stuff that creeps me out isn't appropriate for proboards forums so I have to keep it mild. What I really wanted to find were the hyper-realist chairs and wardrobe made to look like they were grown organically with human skin and hair, but it's eluding me atm.
