...so I had some time to kill last night...
• His birthday is December 19, 1904. OMIGOD WE MISSED HIS BIRTHDAY. ;3; /selfbrick
• His mother's name is Sophie and his father's name is Ransom.
• He never finished high school and didn't go to college. o:
• He's an only child. And thank god for that, can't imagine how many other kids he might have traumatized besides Freckle.
• "He reads an eclectic mix of things from poetry to published physics papers, apparently - anything he can get his hands on and reinterpret to coincide with his oftentimes bizarre perspective.
• Rocky's favorite food is blueberry pancakes and coffee... both with maple syrup. :D Or at least, he prefers blueberry to banana nut. I imagine he's a fan of chocolate as well. :D~
• Tracy says "she thinks Rocky would describe himself as "spiritual", but not religious. For the likes of him, organized religion is just too...organized. Things like Catholic guilt are awfully restrictive. He's more like an amateur sophist - at least that seems to be how he manages to rationalize his behavior, or attempts to talk himself out of trouble." /burstsintoatheistfangirlflames
• They ask the strangest questions on that forum. xD When asked about how Rocky feels about marriage, Tracy says he doesn't plan that far ahead. And when asked about any ~previous relationships of Rocky's, she says he's had quoteunquote "encounters", but nothing she would term a proper romance. ...did you expect me to comment on this?
• His ears are purposely meant to resemble devil horns. That is EPIC.
• He has a nick in his left ear from when he almost shot himself in the face. xD Oh Rocky. I think it happened between when the photograph in Intro 3 was taken and Lackadaisy Rumrunner.
• "Rocky’s had moonshine before. That didn’t end well. Rather like Mordecai, and though somewhat ironic, he doesn’t really drink, and even seems to have a bit of disdain for those who indulge in it. He’d prefer coffee-syrup." Lawl, there are many things Rocky needs more of in his life. Coffee is not one of them. And the things I would do to see DRUNK!Rocky...
• His favorite composers are Beethoven, Bach, Brahms, Vivaldia, Paganini, and Mussorgsky.[/u]
• Rocky was apparently in the circus for (a little less than) two years, as an escape "artist".[/u] o-o
• Rocky's father and Nina did not get along.[/u]
• "It was what you could call a suitably bizarre encounter with Mitzi that got him his job."
• "Well, the cafe is where the pancakes are, Nina's house is the repository for his laundry, and Lackadaisy seems to be what he considers the closest thing to home.
Anyway, more about his living arrangements will be addressed by the comic. =)"
• "He had some exposure at a young age because his mother played classical violin, but it was later in life while he was on the road (or the rails) that he picked it up again and learned to fiddle...and learned that wasps sting repeatedly."
• Rocky's father is alive and "seems to have wandered off in Rocky's prior absence." Rocky's mother "died some time ago" and the cause could possibly be the Spanish Flu~? "Rocky's mother, who was in and out of sanatoriums much of her adult life, was much more susceptible than the average individual."
• Rocky has extended family[/u] "but none they are particularly close with, or who live in the immediate vicinity." Like an uncle in Kankakee~.
• "Q: Did Rocky and Freckle get into something really REALLY truly bad when they were younger? And was it this awful thing that got Rocky kicked out?[/u] And did Freckle lose control and go all Mr. Hyde? If so, then why wasn't he kicked out of his home?
And I actually don't want a response from Tracy besides "You'll find out soon in the comic!”
A: "Well, you’re onto something there...but you’ll find out in the comic! =)"[/spoiler]
I'll give you a link to her posts if you want confirmation. : D
