I keep starting to make a thread for this year, and keep getting distracted by other stuff. XD I'm really looking forward to this year, although my mom keeps insisting I get a job. I know it would be for the best, but I hate the idea of giving up writing time just for something stupid like a weekly paycheck. I've even got a vague idea for this year, provided something doesn't replace it on Nov. 1st. Basically, Death comes for someone at an orphanage (brain has told me it's a young boy who died for some reason, helpful, ain't it?) and is followed back to the afterlife by a young girl (around 4 years old). No, this does not render her dead...I don't think anyways. Beyond some characters and some really ( really) basic planning, I don't want to think too much about it until it's time to start actually writing it. I don't want to tired of things before it even has a chance.

I imagine that getting a job would help with writing, 'cos afterwards (if you had any energy left) writing would seem much more appealing and fun and much less like work. xD Less time, but you'd use what time you had more efficiently. But I wouldn't know.
'nyway, this sounds interesting. =D Death-stories always have so many possibilities and ways-to-write-them and interesting things you can do.

Yeah, it probably would really cut too much into my writing time. I managed it last year with school after all. I'm just lazy and like to whine. XD I do want to get a job before the end of the year if I'm honest with myself, I just don't want to look for one...lol Thanks! The two of them popped into my head a few weeks ago and I'm looking forward to exploring their world with them.

I know a job can be really bothersome, but it makes the success of finishing NaNo despite working all the sweeter. At least that was the case for me last year. Granted, I had to make myself write once I got home, but if it keeps you mom off your neck, I'd say go for a job as well. Nagging mothers can be a real muse-block.

Oh man, getting back into the NaNo mindset is tricky. I've got under 2 hours to write 950ish words. Ack, must turn internet off! On the upside, I just found out my cousin is doing NaNo too. We don't talk a lot, but it's still cool. Hope she enjoys herself.

No fun excerpts from me yet. I do promise to post a few of my favorites when I get around to typing things up, but until then here's a picture of my notebook: And no, that pink pen is not full of green ink. I'm getting ready to change pens for the day. Hehe, it's quite interesting writing in a notebook instead of just tap tap tapping away at my keyboard. So far I'm averaging about 140 words per page, which means about 12 pages a day. That's not too bad, although I keep running out of time at 9 pages. I must learn discipline and not wait so long to do the last 6 pages or so. XD
