"Dr. Bugston’s kitchen faces the backyard with a window full of half-dead plants."
I don't even have one page yet. Writing is going very slowly. Oh look, a bit of setting description that tells you about how well Dr. Bugston can take care of living things. That doesn't particularly bode well for him later on.

Ooh, wonder what this is all about?

Piet was going to be a knight someday, and nothing was going to stop him from that. Drilled this into our brains enough yet, Piet?

Lionel tapped his fingers on Augie’s chest, resisting the temptation to tap his friend’s nose or forehead for emphasis instead.
I refuse to 'ship the two of them. *refuse refuse refuse* It wouldn't make sense at all in any way. ...yet I then put scenes like this in for the sheer fun of it. xD

He’d ended up so scared that he’d killed himself rather than wait for the rat to finally take him.
...dude, do I ever post /normal/ lines here, really? xD Augie's past is a bit... creepy, to say the least. :3

No context for you. =D

I really hope the stuff I'm writing isn't turning out too wishy-washy. =S
