Do you love musicals? Do you go out of your way to see musical plays? Do you have songs from musicals in your music library and/or do you try to sing them?
This is the musicals fanclub; where we discuss everything about musicals, be they on the stage or for film. Here, you can talk about your favorite ones, leap for joy about the one you just saw, discuss everything musically... etc.
And of course, I'll add you to the list if you join. ^^
Starting topic: What are all your favorite musicals?

I'll join! I haven't seen that many musicals lately, though. D: I must rectify this. Hmm...my favorites...that's a hard question, but at the top are anything by Stephen Sondheim, Fiddler on the Roof, and The Light in the Piazza. ^_^ I also like My Fair Lady and Wicked quite a bit, among others. Oh, and Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. XD

I have an unhealthy obsession with wanting to make a musical version of everything, does that count? Not to mention the PW Musical. And... basically every musical I've seen. ...Count me in.

Annie Get Your Gun is a great one. The Lion King musical is also great. And who could EVER forget Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat? :'DDDDDD

Lion King's probably my alltime favorite, but I'm also pretty fond of Sweeney Todd (Angela Lansbury is the best Mrs Lovette, period). I don't really get much of a chance to watch musicals on stage, though. They're pretty pricey, and no one wants to go see them with me. X3 So I have to settle for finding them on DVD.

I'd like to join. I haven't seen that many musicals, although I wish I could see more. Many of the musical performances I've seen are those put on by my high school. xD; Last year they put on a pretty impressive version of Grease. Last year some of our class went to go see Wicked, which was pretty nice.

May I join? =D I love musicals. My favourites that I've seen are probably: -Hello Dolly at Regents Park. The actors were really fantastic, and all gave an amazing performance. I'm not actually that keen on the movie version, but the one I saw was great. -Wicked. Enough said, since it's on almost everyone's favourite lists XD -The Lion King. I need to see this one again soon <3 -Legally Blonde. It's funny and light-hearted, and a great one for a night out with friends -Chicago. I loved the whole atmosphere of the thing, and another one with really great actors

I saw the Lion King this summer... I was a bit underwhelmed, but that's probably because I was up in the balcony...the vast majority of musicals I've seen, I've been up pretty close.
Hm, I've only seen a few... Wicked, 25th...Spelling Bee, Phantom of the Opera (twice), Jesus Christ Superstar, and Lion King. And... I feel like there's another I'm missing, but I dunno. XD

Hm.. I dunno what my favorite would be. I've seen a few live, as I was lucky enough to have a high school music/drama program that was able to score cheap tickets and did a trip to see something once a semester. (I didn't go every semester, but still a pretty awesome deal.) Plus I've seen a couple outside of that. Wicked was pretty cool live, as was The Lion King. Evita was kind of a weird one because I didn't really get what was going on until someone explained it to me at intermission. The most recent musical I saw live was Hair in the spring, when my university put it on. That one was a lot of fun, but it was outdoors and COLD. XD Rocky Horror Picture Show will always have a special place in my heart. I might get to see Rocky Horror live in a couple weeks, though, which would be EPIC. Weird musicals are fun.

Ahh why have we not had this club before? <333
Wicked is my all-time favorite ("Defying Gravity" gives me chills every time... favorite song ever), but closely followed by Les Mis. I also adore Into the Woods. Disney musicals are wonderful and hold a special place in my heart, and then I love assorted songs from other musicals as well (some songs from Phantom, "He Had it Coming" from Chicago... many more that I can't think of off the top of my head. XD)

Broadway geeks for the win! I'm a huge fan of Wicked *pokes signature*, Next to Normal, Hairspray, The Rock Horror Picture Show, Repo! The Genetic Opera, Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, Glee (it's close enough) and many others my brain refuses to say at the moment...Anyone feel like breaking out into song?

Avenue Q is one of my favourite musicals! It's like Sesame Street, but for adults
