I'm told this subboard is good for any game now, and this game has been "in the making" for like 6-7 years and the game design boards on AmysGames are as dead as disco so BRINGIN IT TO THE NTWF TIEM.
Venustus Decus is an RPG, similar to Final Fantasy in playing style. You can have a party of three, with both the party members following behind you on the main map. On this map, you can jump and roll to dodge various obstacles that may be placed along your path.
When you run into a monster on the map, you engage in battle with it. The engine for the battles hasn't been properly built yet, but it will look something like this. Most of it is pretty self ex., I think. The energy bar at the bottom builds up as you take damage, and gives you access to more powerful attacks or spells when it fills. In some cases, party members will be set to AUTO and be controlled by the CPU for plot purposes.
As for the plot... I've been over this several times, but here goes. XD
Now's the part where you come in! You may be asking "how can I help with the game?" Well... there's a lot of things you could do. Sprites, level design, critters to fight, you name it. The project is just so daunting I could use help with pretty much anything right now, so. If there's anything you feel talented in, lemme know.
Thoooough one of the more specific things I've been asking for is NPCs. :B Throughout the game you encounter several ally NPCs, who don't do an especially lot, but get hard to design after a while. Also, though they don't do an especially lot in the game, they are important to the plot, so they kinda need to... exist.
...Sooo yeah, basically there's a lot of unnamed fighter people in this. XD; I've named a couple of them, but most of them I've been referring to as 'some random hurt guy' or 'some other guys.' I figure since they've got minorly major roles, they should at least have names and appearances. And since I'm bound to run out of character ideas after a while, and you guys are my game designers, I figured you could help me.
Basically, all you need to do is draw a picture (or just give a description) of a character, and give them a name and an element and of course a gender. :3
(Which I guess makes now a good time to tell you the elements in this game. Well, there's nine of them: Normal, Fire, Water, Nature, Electric, Cold, Magic, Darkness, and Light. I also have a type chart; I could upload that if you guys care to see.)
-I need a Fire Elemental who specializes in explosive spells. (Thanks, Celes~)
-I need a Nature Elemental who is good at manipulating dirt and rock. (Thanks, Candy!)
-I need someone who is a carpenter.
I'll tell you if I think of more.
So... yeah. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

The game stars a girl by the name of Gloria Rosebloom. She lives in the land of Noen, and she possesses some magical powers she doesn't fully know how to use yet. However, in Noen, magic is usually shunned and feared, so she trains in secret with her pet Wari (magical animal, basically), Maggie.
However, in the midst of this training, Gloria is captured by a group of magic-draining people known as the MegaMy. Maggie makes an attempt to rescue her, but in the midst of the chaos, Gloria mysteriously vanishes from sight... from the face of Noen.
Which is where the real journey begins.
The plot focusses on Gloria's arrival in the strange land of Muilic, where she ends up helping out Vallen and Almodine in the war against the fierce Tilotarion people. Throughout the game, Gloria learns many things, gains much strength, and beholds a vast world of worlds beyond anything she could ever have imagined.

*revives* Okay, I might actually have a compiler now, so hopefully I can actually get started on this soon. In the meantime, who wants to design an NPC?!

In fact, if you'd like to be especially helpful, here's some of the specifics that I need for plot purposes:
