I know Gelsky did one three months ago, but I think we should do another one.
This time, everyone can vote. However, all votes must be PM'd to me. Don't post your votes, because A) I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings by letting them see how many votes they got, and B) I'm just going to ignore it.
The only rule is that you can't use anyone else's poem. It has to be your own work. However, you may use a poem you have written in the past (just not one that you have already used on the previous poetry contest or the neopets poetry contest). Also, you may only post one poem (you can't enter with two or more).
I haven't chosen any prizes yet, but I will in a bit. Go ahead and post your poems! ^_^

Untitled
By Sharla G.
Nobody asks why is it I cry Nobody asks why I wish I would die, I don't think anyone cares, If I prayed would they answer my prayers? It's seems I'm alone in this world, All that I do- my thoughts are swirled.

Some more information you probably want to know...
The poems can be about anything, any style, and can be any length (just don't be too irrational...like a poem that takes up three posts).
Also, all poems must be in by Friday, September 19th. That gives you just slightly more than two weeks. No more poems will be taken after this date. Voting will start on September 20th (any votes received before this date will be ignored), and will end on September 24th (any votes after this will be ignored). Prizes will be given out the next day, and the winners will be announced.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to PM me or post here.

Different
I am different. I have always been that way There is nothing you can do There is nothing you can say I am different. You can't understand it No one ever planned it And you can't just explain it away Sometimes it's a good thing It gives me the words to sing And sometimes it get in the way But you'll never change me You can't rearrange me And you know in you're heart That I am here to stay

Dying Forest, Dying World
I wonder deep into the forest where the trees are green and lush, Birds sing atop the boughs of the tallest trees whilst mice crawl beneath the bush, Night is beginning to fall and the wind is rattling through my hair, A feeling like this, one of joy, calmness and serenity is very rare. The forests are dying out one by one All the love and happiness gone, The animals become sad, The air becomes bad, As humans plot to destroy the world.

Farewell
And when all is said and done Leaves have fallen into ruin And the equinox has passed away
Still the sentinel stands Watching the old drift into dreams And the waves against the sand.

Over
When the world is over, When the sun has shined her last, When the final leaf has fallen, When eternity has passed, When life is but a shadow, Of what once used to be, Will you hold to what we had, Will you remember me?

These poems are depressing!!!! Here's one to get your mood up: Beautiful DayIt's 8:00 on a sunny day, A perfect day to run and play. But is this all this day's good for? To run aimlessly seems such a bore! To spend all the day playing with haste, That seems to this day, such a waste! This day seems to have much more meaning, Then to run around shouting and screaming... I sit down, and start to ponder and think, And it's 2:00 before I blink! I gasp, as I start to see, Before I had the whole day infront of me! But before I could even utter a laugh, The day had been cut in half... I finally then start to see, too, That a good day depends on what you do. A great day can be wasted by nothing done, While a rainy day can be great, without the sun. For, in order to be truly pleased, The day must be used and siezed. Username: ajennsis

One Smile by Digital_Eon
Every day I awaken to the sun Shining bright above me And every day I think of one Person who might wish we Weren't alive to see the sun One Day
Every day I open my door wide To the world around me And every day I look outside Worrying that one day I won't see One World
Every day I see a child Running joyful about me And every day these children run wild They may not live to view happily One Future
Every day I sit and cry About the sorrows of my family And every day I must ask why These things must happen to me Maybe a trial; maybe a test Maybe a sign my life is messed Maybe one day I will finally show One Smile
(Stupid, huh? All my poems are like that ><)

My Own Little World
Swallowed up in my own little world of happiness, I linger among the trees My escape, from my sorrow, tears, myself Laughing, dancing, and singing in glee Faeries, Goddess, other mystics surround me
Don't say I'm too young to understand Don't tell me I'm too young to feel this way I'm not asking for your hand I'm not asking for you to take me away
This is the last time I'll be in pain The last you'll have to put up with me I should've known I've always been in the wrong lane I'm going to my magical world, and never comming back.
((Smiley, can you tell where I got my insperation? ^_____^))
*Cough* it sucks, I know.
EDIT: I always forget something, don't I? Username: elizabeth_a_r_21

Written in the Stars by sol_luna_estrella
Lightning rips the black canvas of firmament, Inked and dusted with rusty stars— Covert and sage, Icy with solemn radiance, Inviting rainbows Just to sweetly kill them, Like the eyes of a thousand souls.
Hoary gems, newly cut Blazing with the innocence Of a young nightmare. Like newly blind eyes, They gleam, bright with distrust.
Slow, dreamy dances, Old as sin, Patterns new as prayer Weave and slither all together, Charming darkness.
They say that within there is divinity: A piece of the heavens, An insight, knowledge, intuition Older than they themselves;
And they whisper those songs, The songs written in the stars.
