Why are there more comics in the NT times than short stories/series/articles? Well, for one thing, I think the NT gets more submissions in Comics than in the other categories (except possibly articles, but even then...). But I think the main reason is the editor, Droplet. xD She's just one person, and she has to carefully pore over every single submission on her lonesome before she lets anything in. Comics are quick, simple, easy. She can okay tons of them in a single week. Prose takes a lot longer to read, and there are so many little subtleties that she could miss if she went through it too quickly. Frankly, I've always been amazed at the amount of reading she must do just to get that many pieces of writing published every week. xD

Is legacy (for a college/uni) limited to mom/dad/brother/sister? Or can it expand to uncles/aunts, grandparents, cousins, etc?

As far as fashion goes, is it okay to wear socks with Sperrys or no?
Rachel-- Pretty sure it expands to uncles/aunts/grandparents/cousins. I'm pretty sure I used all of them in my application. It may depend on the college/uni, though... is there any way to check more specifically?

I checked the school's website, and didn't see anything. Good that it includes those members, though, because my uncle went to the college I want to go to.

What is the major you should take if you want to go into teaching, especially for special needs kids?

What is the major you should take if you want to go into teaching, especially for special needs kids? Did a bit of googling, there. The requirements vary by state, but all of them require at least a bachelor's degree plus passing a teacher-certification program. Plus you'll also probably need to complete a special course in teaching special education. Some states require a Master's in special education (and it does appear that "Special Education" is a major). www.worldwidelearn.com/online-education-guide/education/special-education-major.htm

...Okay, I need to know for my NaNo, and I don't feel like bugging my parents about it... about how much would your basic 6-pack of cheapish beer cost? xD Just a general estimate would be fine, preferably in American/Canadian terms.
Yes, I know, I have missed out on countless research opportunities by not drinking. >.>; The funny thing is, I've been in liquor stores and pretty much all of my friends drink. I should know this, but. Well.

I should know this, but. Well. A six pack of Natty Bo (National Bohemian, absolutely noone calls it that) is about $4, and that's pretty popular among people who want a cheap drink and don't care what it is. Bottles generally cost more, and the cost for anything can vary wildly by area. Liquor laws in PA are notorioiusly stupid and most people buy by the case. Now if you want a nasty cheap option for your characters, there's always a 40 of malt liquor. Like $2 hurricanes. Beloved of hobos and highschoolers everywhere.

Wow... I use this thread waaaaaay too much. Ok, my question is why do I have to be 16 to donate blood if I am well over 110 lbs? Because I know you have to weigh that much so they can take a full unit of blood... But I don't see a reason for a minimum age.

Might be more of a legal issue than a health issue, but I'm not sure.

-just noticed this thread- My Prayers have been answered. XD
Anyways I'm doing a lot of character designs and a couple smoke. Which end of a cigarette goes in your mouth? TheWhite or the orange?
I've never paid attention, cared, or even thought about it until I started these characters.

I only know this from seeing cigarette butts laying around parking lots. *doesn't smoke*
