Oops, sorry Komori. I meant application essays. -Should have been more clear- :X Usually tell them about yourself, and what you want to be in the college for, what you're planning on doing with the education and what you might be able to contribute to the college community. It's similar to a cover letter for a resume you send into a job; you "sell yourself". I talked about how I went into high school with social phobia/depression that affected my school work, but still managed to pull through and graduate in the top 10% in my senior year. (Yes, true story, though i still think someone must have rigged the thing for me. 0.o ) They know that all the applicants they get won't be star students and smart and perfect, but they do like knowing you're willing to try to work around your difficulties.

How do I go about applying for University, and when would be a good time to do so? ._.

Depends on which one you'll be going to, I think, but I went to my college's website and clicked on the application button I found there. Usually it's best to apply about half a year to a year before the time you're planning on taking classes (as it's first come first serve), so during your senior year of high school if you're going straight from there.

As far as applying for universities goes, it varies a little from school to school. Most colleges now have an option to apply online (and even within that there are differences... some use the Common App, for example, and some just have you do it on their website), yet for most schools you can still request a paper application in the mail and apply that way.
Generally, most universities have a set deadline by which you have to apply to be accepted for the upcoming fall semester, usually somewhere between December and February. Some, however, have rolling admissions, which essentially means that acceptances are first-come, first-serve even if there is no set deadline for your application.
Usually, it's best to look at each university's website separately. Generally, you'll find that kind of information under "Prospective students" or "admissions."

Why is it that towns are censored in two of the classics I've read? In Jane Eyre, I see "-----Shire"; in Les Miserables, "the town of D-----". Why was this done?

It's like an early disclaimer to protect the privacy of people in case such a person/street/place existed. Like General ---- (the one where Wickham in Pride and Prejudice got his commission), ------ street (where Darcy found Lydia and Wickham), or your mentioned examples. Even back then there were fans who would try to find such places or people. Also to prevent attempted legal redress in case they used a place or person existing, without permission of the person or owner.

Do you guys think a bad cough (from a cold) could cause nausea?
Because I'm thinking all I have is a cold, but I've never been nauseous during one... And I don't think the cold itself would directly cause the nausea.

And I don't think the cold itself would directly cause the nausea. Yeah, it happens. =/ It's awful, I'm sorry to hear you're so under the weather. My personal hypothesis is that it's because of the irritation to that sensitive part of the back of your throat -- that part that if you accidentally jab a toothbrush into, you can trigger the gag/puke response. The one that's often... utilized by people with bulimia.

Several years ago most of my family here had a really nasty cough and I know at least a few of them nearly gagged themselves with an attack. I've also gotten nauseous from nasal drainage too, probably again an irritation thing. I do hope you're feeling better soon.

Ok, thank you guys. I was worried. Anybody know of some temporary relievers for cough? My mom had no time this morning to run to the store and get me one, and she is at work right now. Oh, also, any suggestions on what to eat? Most colds I've had are usually just stuffiness and a runny nose, not a dry cough. xD

I don't know about coughs, but hot tea with honey in it does wonders for sore throats. I'm guessing anything that is warm/hot, partly liquid/soft, and not real salty would be good things to eat. Oatmeal?
