*raises her hand in excitement* I'd love to help out! But...I wasn't around when guild wars II was going on so I may be lost in all the plotting... But I'd love to help out any way that I could. It sounds neat. I've come up with some random ideas to make GWIII into some manga stuff, myself, but I know I'd never get around to actually doing it ^.^' It'd need a lot of dedication and organisation/adapting to work, but it just MIGHT go through. The thread is still there and is easy to read so if you want to check it out. Although, since you mention turning GWIII into a manga, this might start to become something of a tradition for Guild Wars. xD I mean, we already have a movie project for GWI going (*cough*) so, yeah. Just a thought. |

Well, we did at one point. >_> <_< I kinda gave up on it a long time ago. *continued cough* It's true though, it seems every GW has wanted to be translated into another media at some point. The GW1 movie, the GW1 comic book, the GW2 RPG, the GW2 musical... I don't think any of them ever went anywhere, though. Maybe we can change that this time?  |

If you're planning on making a game this time around, I have a buttload of sound effects you could use, as well as unused music and character sprites in FQ's style. Be warned though - I started work on my game shortly before my wedding with Leoness over two years ago, and it's not even halfway done yet. Be prepared for some serious long-term dedication. xD I can't honestly say how much commitment a novel, comic, or musical would involve, but it definitely helps if it's not a one-girl/one-man project. :3 |

'S better than digging through tons of pages of posts in my opinion. Besides, who's to say it won't be fun? If not a tad difficult... But I'm just throwing ideas around :3 |

Something just occured to me. Since cool bikes seem to be all the rage in the current plot (what with Strife's steampunk motorcycle and Fraze's high-tech stunt bike), why not arrange a Guild Wars Racing Championship? :3
Think about it: Ikkin could ride a dirt quad shaped like Sev, Rider could ride a Shiva-shaped bike, Hunty could ride a blarf-themed monster truck, Celestial would have a dragon-mobile, and so on and so forth. Participants would need to rely 100% on their vehicle for forward momentum, though. Teleports and teleport-dashing would be cheating. xD
The first person to race through the checkpoints located in every land-side guild and retrieve the gem at the end point has the right to proclaim "YOU'RE WINNER!" ^_^

The guilds were always supposed to be this quasi-medieval, magical land with no modern technology (or, in the case of the Fleet, some sci-fi technology mixed in). Having the Dakar Rally in the middle of it just doesn't... sound right, as far as the guild lore is concerned. It'd be like having Disney princesses chatting on cellphones in the middle of the magical forest (and no, Enchanted doesn't count >>) 'course, bikes aside, a race is still a race, whether on horses or Fleet's hoverbikes. The question would be how to pull it off in a medium such as this forum. ...offtopic thread is offtopic >__>; How would we pull off a GW NT adaptation, for that matter? I mean, as a medium? |

[glow=red,2,300]I'd rather call it a Planet Eris. Technology exists. It's not necessarily better, though. Would I rather ride my Shiva than a Shiva-style motorbike? (That depends, does the motorbike talk, 'cause if not - *brick'd*) Yes, and I think that he could beat all of you.  But using solely motorbikes would keep us from running into the you-can't-do-that problem. Our actual mounts are all unique little snowflakes that have magical powers and occasionally want to eat each other. Motorbikes have no such problems. And it gives us the opportunity to request dad-bass pictures from arteests like yourself. That being said, we could run it the way we ran the (failed) Meepit Races. Only better. And not failed. But off-topic thread is indeed off-topic. I would come back from NT retirement to help with this if I didn't expect to be insanely busy when school starts up again. But I was thinking maybe one main series with supplementary comics and short stories, unless they don't allow that. [/glow] |
