Kazic blinked at Lyrra's second eye and use of the word "us". He silently inched a few feet further away from the mysterious person.

Lyrra saw Kazic moving away and smiled wryly. 'I'm not dangerous. Not at the moment. Watch the scales though. They're the dangerous thing, not me.' she emitted and inane ittle giggle, and fell silent.

This comment did not comfort Kazic at all, and he attempted to hide behind Alistair.

'For Libra's sake...I'll put the scales away if they scare you.' Lyrra gave the scales a 'behave, or else!' look and returned to walking

What's a libra? Kazic wondered as he remained next to the Centaur.

The scales dipped sharply, and Lyrra cursed. 'Someone isn't gonna be very lucky, Don't know who, be thankful.

Raff was silent throughout most of this exchange. ((Alright, I was on vacation. >_> Anywho)) He had been focusing his magic, trying to pinpoint the location of the creatures. He had read about them in a textbook, but it was so long ago.... He creased his brow and lifted his hand to the wind, hoping to find the creatures--and head in the opposite direction.

Staying behind Alistair as much as possible, Kazic crawled over to his wizard friend. When he was close enough, he whispered, "Raff, is it just me, or is there something odd about that Lyrra person?"

Lyrra gave the Scales a look of angry frustration, until they shrank, turning into a pendant. 'Now I have both hands free to smack the next person to stare.' she muttered. Raising her head, she gripped the pendant. Her left eye darkened, her right lightening until they were the same shade. 'Whew. I swear, seeing the best through one eye and the worst through the other is a bit...confusing.

"Ah, here we are," Gwin said loudly, grabbing the attention of the others. "The entrance."
The creatures unfamiliar with Ayvir, it simply appeared to be basically the same as the rest of the forest. To Gwin and Terrence, however, there were clear differences, and this area was an area of safety.
"Right. You see these two trees?" Gwin said, pointed to two identical trees with white bark. "They mark the entrance to the sanctuary. In order to pass through safely, you must know the password."
Gwin then closed her eyes, thinking hard.

"Password." Lucifer said. "I assume that you will tell us the password, since you have agreed to let us live in your sanctuary for a time."

"If not, this might not end peacefully." Kazic said, reinforcing what he perceived the dragon to mean.

Lyrra's eyes lit up. 'Protective magic? Most interesting. From what's in the soil, this forest is magic to every last grain of dirt.' I presume, Mistress Gwin, that you know this password, or knew it once?'

Raff shrugged. "It seems everything in here is odd, to some degree. Including us." He glanced at Gwin, who had not yet spoken the password. "They are getting closer," he said. "If we aren't going to fight or flee--both options have have a high fatality rate when it comes to -them- --shouldn't we enter the sanctuary?"

Kazic blinked at his old friend in surprise, "Raff? You know what... things... they're talking about?"
