Amok in Amestris - FMA Roleplay

The State not only comprises of this particular location, but can also comprise other areas such as Ishbal, Lior, Risembool, and Rush Valley. This is the world where alchemy exists, everything is under the state and Fuhrer Bradley, and the famous Fullmetal Alchemist Edward Elric prowls its streets with his younger brother Alphonse in search of the Philosopher's Stone and answers to all his questions, while being supervised by Flame Alchemist Colonel Roy Mustang and his team.

But they're not alone. Scar, a warrior of Ishbalan ideals, vows to have all state alchemists killed out of vengeance, and the infamous Homunculi lurk in the shadows, seemingly controlled by a higher being.

Even as the story of the Fullmetal Alchemist goes on, there are, of course, other stories in the world of Amestris that remain untold...unsung heroes with problems of their own, with their own villains to fight, be they alchemists or otherwise, military or otherwise, young as the Fullmetal Alchemist or otherwise.

This is their story, filled with alchemy and duels, with conspiracies and adventures, transmutation circles and awesome clapping tricks.

((The story is set in the time frame of fifteen-year-old Ed, during the reign of Fuhrer Bradley, to avoid people getting spoiled, close to Eastern HQ, where Roy and his cronies are currently at.

I'll post my character later. Your characters can be alchemists, military men, even Homunculi and Ishbalans...go crazy. XD And from there, we can just wing it. ^_^ This is Amestris, after all...anything can happen here.))[/shadow]

Age: 18
Gender: Female
Species/Occupation: Human/Aspiring State Alchemist
Skills: Alchemy (she can control and create light), knife fighting
Physical Description: Long black hair always tied into a ponytail with a blue ribbon, sapphire-blue eyes, fair skin, tall for her age and of moderate build, often wears a collared white blouse with an open dark green long-sleeved shirt over it, a denim skirt three inches below her knees, midnight blue shoes and white socks
Personality: Confident and always optimistic, Kiaren is never afraid to do what is right - or sometimes, what she just feels is right. She has an undying respect for the military, and often finds something good to say about them, even when others can't. However, sometimes she can be a tad too optimistic to the point of becoming annoying, and is a bit of a perfectionist.
Background: Kiaren lost her mother, a military officer, in the Ishbal rebellion, and so lives with her father and two younger twin sisters. Kiaren's father, a businessman who manages a growing restaurant, supports her dream of joining the military as a State Alchemist, but often reminds her of the dangers of being a dog of the military. Kiaren tries not to detest the Ishbalans because of what has happened to her mother, but sometimes even the mere sight of an Ishbalan can bring back memories. However, she was not chosen in last year's alchemy exam, and hopes to try again this year. [/shadow]

Just for the because of it, I'm going to do my character form similar to Kat's.

Name: Meikou Kaindle
Age: 13
Gender: Female
Species/Occupation: Human/Student, amateur alchemist
Skills: Alchemy (of course), art, math (mostly geometry)
Physical Description: Shoulder-length strawberry blonde hair, green-blue eyes, fair skin, average height and slender build, outfit varies (but she usually wears a short-sleeve shirt and long pants), mark on her right cheek
Personality: Curious and observant, perhaps to a fault. Often takes walks just to look at even the smallest details of nature and such. She's fairly quiet, often lost in her own thoughts. Usually states things as they are, but tries to give words of praise.
Background: Meikou lives with her parents, her eight-year-old sister, and her five-year-old brother. She became interested in, and fascinated by, alchemy at age 9, when she saw a man perform a heroic act through alchemy. She took up art and math classes when she realized that she couldn't draw her circles right, and now she ties her different studies together. While not interested in becoming a state alchemist, she would like to study with professional alchemists. She often experiments in alchemy, trying out different things. The mark on her cheek is a result of one of her experiments gone awry. She also makes many her circles into pieces of art, some of them so complex that even she doesn't dare to see what they do. She has a sketchbook filled with circles for both use and reference. She also has tried adding the third dimension to alchemy, making spheres and cylinders instead of just circles. She also likes making figurative jewels out of junk.

Species/Occupation Homunculus/Wanderer
Physical Description: Longish wavy blue-white hair, gray eyes, pale skin, thin, has the appearance of someone much younger than her real age, wears an ice blue dress, black shoes, and white socks (think of a small, pale Alice in Wonderland) with a silver cloak.
Skills: Chelira has an alternate personality, Ella, who takes over when she gets emotional. Ella, who has the body of an 18-year old, has long, straight black hair and black eyes. The depth of her power is still unknown but where Ella is, chaos follows. Chelira, on the other hand, has no special powers and appears to be a normal human girl.
Personality: Chelira is quiet, sensitive, and almost always pensive. She wanders around aimlessly, not really having a destination in mind, hoping that one day she will stumble upon the secret of her past and her identity.
Background: Chelira does not know anything about alchemy nor does she know what Homunculi are. She just woke up, one day, in an abandoned building grasping a piece of paper with 'Chelira Ellael' written on it and has been wandering ever since. People she meet have the urge to take care of her, get to know her better but she usually tries to get away from them.

Physical Description: brown Roy Mustang hair (In three words), Hooded black sweater, navy cargo pants, black leather gloves, tall and slender.
Skills: Tanli has all the makings of a great alchemist. However, he couldn't care less. With the transmutation circles inscribed on his gloves, Tanli can transmute anything, anytime, anywhere. With a recent and unapparent retirement from his State Alchemist title, he has been roaming Central, looking for the odd job to flex his alchemic ability.
Personality: Tanli isn't much of a talker. He rarely responds to anything, unless it's a question, though his answers are little more than "Yes" "No" or "Okay." People who have met him claim to have seen him down five cups of ramen before anyone can start cheering, but nobody believes them.
Background: Tanli was raised as a rich Ishbalan only child. His parents didn't pay much attention to him, so he didn't pay much attention to them. His lonely childhood made him the loner he was the rest of his life.
In the Ishbalan Rebellion, his parents were murdered, and Tanli escaped with little more than his favorite book, which discussed the finer points of alchemy, and his life. He fled to Central, and found a slum where homeless families took him in. He taught himself alchemy, and was soon recognized throughout the poorer side of Central as a hero for his alchemic deeds. Soon after, the Fuhrer recognized Tanli's talents and annointed him as a State Alchemist. Very few know Tanli's State Alchemist title. Many were outraged at Tanli's award at such a young age, but the Fuhrer...silenced their protests. Tanli payed no heed to their complaints, but retired anyway, after being a State Alchemist for only seven months.

Powers: a bit of a jack of all trades, his legs and arms are auto mail which he often transmutes into weapons of some sort he can transmute without a circle having seen the gate 4 times,he has a pair of igition cloth gloves which he uses for his fire alchemy, he often summons up weapons or transmutes thing into weapons he mainly uses the following elements as these are his specialties fire,ice,lightning,earth and weapons automail included he gained a power with each 1 (except his automail) for each time he saw the gate he uses them all quite often nd in many ways he often adds fire or lighning damge to weapons he normaly constanly switches between these powers in battle to confuse his opponent and he is also a fair shot with a gun

Weakness: water he can swim but just barely also it cancels out most of his alchemy and can cause problems with his automail if the automail mail stays wet for long however he does have one attack that require water which is split the oxygen and hydrogen appart and then ignight the hydrogen making a hydrogen bomb though he rarely uses it because theres a chance it will kill more than he inteded it to

Physical: he is 6"0 tall and has blond hair which he keeps in a ponytail his eyes are ice blue he is slinder built he always wears black pants with black boots a white shirt and a black jacket even when at work his legs and arms are auto mail

Emotion: hes kind and considerate and does what he can to help people he cares deeply for his friends and family and often thinks of his father older brother and friend he has a short tempor and stubborn atitude but is never realy mean he always puts the saftey of others first

Background:at the age of 8 his brother and father began teaching him alchemy he loved and learned aloth his father whats a highranking state alchemist and his brother was under his fathers direct command he also had a litlle brother who was 6 at the time he was soon very good at alchemy he was now 10 and he was an expert his younger brother was good to one day his brother and father and 8 other alchemist had a big assignment it seems a few bandits some ex state alchemist some just plain alchemist a few not alchemist at all where casing trouble it seems there leader was a homuculi the mission was to wipe them out he waited all day for them to get home but only his brother came home it seeed the finished the mission but out of all 10 only his brother and another state alchemist survived and his brother lost his right arm and left eye in the incedent sonama was very sad about his father time passed and he turned 13 he was getting even better at alchemy and soon his brother had the same rank as his father had antother mission came and this time his brother never came home a man who was his brothers direct commanding officer came and gave his mother the bad news then apoligized and left this hit sonama and his brother hard between theloss of his father and brother so he and his younger brother came up with a plan they were going to bring there father back so they attempted human transmutaion he and his brother failed miserably he lost his right arm and his brother lost his left they both made it back home and were able to get auto mail he simply said"it was equilvilant exchange when we saw the gate i learned lots about alchemy" he now had alchemy powers with fire he asked his brother would help him with the transmutaion to bring back his older brother but his brother refused saying he didnt want to lose another limb this and once again he failed he simply lost his left leg and saw the gate again and learned how to do more alchemy with ice he was now 15 and one of his friends was killed and despite warning from his brother he performed another human transmutaion failed and brought up the gat lost his left leg and learned how to use lighning in alchemy he then vowed never to do human transmutaion again he turned 18 and entered the military and in oe mission it was reaviled a supior agent was actualy working against the military the man immediatley uppon killing one of his men performed a human transmutaion on him just to create a homunculi... for the 4th time sonama was staring in to the gate this time he learned more than ever he learend how to perform alchmy using earth and how to transmute witout a circle the the commanding officer lost a leg and sonama took this moment to pick up the fallen soldeirs gun and shoot the betrayer but right after he killed the man he lost his other organic leg as well he is now 20 and serevs the military loyaly in central and occasionaly visists his home town of Resembool

SUPER BIG GINORMOUS EDIT

Seeing as you haven't started yet after all I might as well make a character now... *is doing this on the spot, so expect it all to be Ebil-flavored... I'm terrible at 'serious' roleplays*

Name: Evu Kealep
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Species/Occupation: Rat chimaera (hamster just didn't seem appropriate o_0)/Nothing in particular
Skills: Er, can... um, is good at... uh... she really doesn't know 0_0 but she's great at not getting caught.
Physical Description: Somewhat frail-looking, but only in appearance - she doesn't get hurt easily and seems to not mind extreme heat or cold vey much. Large, dark eyes with the irises much larger in proportion to the white areas than in a normal human; coffee-colored skin and constantly ruffled shoulder-length hair that's almost the same color as her skin. Large, slightly pointed ears and buck teeth.
Personality: Annoyingly persistant; sneaky; indecisive. A likable person when she wants to be, but it takes a lot to break the ice when it comes to Evu. Very good at sneaking around, but not with any malicious intent. Really, she just likes... watching things happen.
Background: As part of Basque Grand's (er, spelling?) ventures in creating powerful chimaeras for militant use, several trial runs were completed using young children. These children were supposedly imprisoned in various jails and prisons for juvenile delinquency, but whether Evu and other children who underwent such trials really came from prisons, or were simply abducted from places like shelters for the purpose of experiments, remains a mystery. Some of them took on the form of the animal they were fused with (like Nina, see?) while others retained mostly human bodies. After completion of the trial runs, the 'sucesses' were sent to a children's shelter (most of the 'failures' died on their own as a result of being unskillfully fused - this was before Tucker started helping, I think... o_0 what do I know, anyway?!) it was assumed that they would be too young to realize what had happened to them, and indeed, most of them were, but the smarter ones had figured out what was going on. While some of them blocked out the memories because of... uh, psychological stress (or something -_-), others attempted to tell adults but were scolded for telling lies. Evu has suppressed her memories of the experimentation and doesn't realize she's anything other than human. She was adopted by a caring young couple who couldn't have children of their own for medical reasons and lives a peaceful life, but sometimes leaves the house (by climbing out of a window... onto the roof) and wanders about in the evening or early morning.
