-Don't Bite Off More Then You Can Chew (like have all the parts for a airship, and transmute it together by yourself, unless you're a ubber alchemist or something) -No Transmuting Gold/Silver/Currency (adding that gold trim to your/clients gun is fine) -No Human Transmutation (got to love that I put that third? XD) We got 3 Alchemy rules now XD Got to love that we, in a way, hold two guilds in oneXD Well, I don't see why you can't transmute gold or silver into something else technically, though I suppose it would probably be illegal to transmute thing into/from currency. xD And the last one comes mostly under godmoding, so there's no need to specify that.

I had to! I watch to much anime, and FMA is one of my top ones XD

I support the third rule! We can't have alchemy and not have that as the third rule. xD Um. For the alchemy... I always imagined the steampunky version would work like this: You'd have to draw the circle every-time. No Elric-style clap magic transmutation. Also, you can't pull things together from thin air/the ground/stuff around you. You have to have the pure ingredients, set and ready, in front of you. And no big scale transmutation. Simple stuff, repairs and the like.

The circles can also be used to create heat (got to power those steam engines somehow if you don't have a real fire). I'm not 100% how Gil's engines work, but I do know that there is a small alchemy powered engine in any ship he makes (he likes to reuse the old ones XD).

See, thing is, people are going to have their own ideas about alchemy, so I don't think we should limit it beyond the guild rules. Which... basically requires saying nothing but "if it's difficult, it takes effort. If it's really difficult, it's impossible."

I saw we just work with Jina's statement right there. We'll wing it and if something should come up that we don't agree on or seems far-fetched, we can certainly discuss things. And I know everyone here is mature enough to understand that a discussion on someone's RP actions is not a personal attack. And feel free to flame me if I mess up, too. Just be gentle. ^^ So yeah, unless someone else wants to raise a point, I guess we start discussing other canon for the guild. I know Scar has a rough sketch of what might be a map of Brassport so I'll get him to clean that up and present it for y'all to see. We can then start adding/subtracting to it and see what we end up with. Heck, if it isn't too complicated I might attempt to colour it. ^^ Also, I stated this a few posts ago but I'll state it again. Coming out of GWIII and in a totally new universe, I think Brassport should be under martial law. xD Makes sense, and offers a great narrative opportunity for when we start up the Steampunk/Mage RP.

Fine, but Gil will have a steampunk shotgun ready for any cop who decides he can't be out to late or fly XD He also has a broken, nonworking, ray gun. Courtesy of Strife That can scare them At least Gil is in good relations with a few people outside Brassport now. Speaking of >.> Gil is still trapped in the floating half a tower in Tabloid Town @_@

I think most of the canon can just be left to be made up as we go along. We've got a little bit of history, how we defend ourselves, and hopefully soon, a map, and unless there's anything really urgent I'm missing that needs to be sorted out now, I think we can probably leave it at that.
Martial law could be interesting, but since I can't think of any of us that are military personell, it sort of leaves us out of the loop somewhat. But if there's a way we can have martial law that doesn't leave us being dragged around by a bunch of NPCs, then we could do that, yeah.
...Which is part of the reason why we need to wait for GW3 to be finished before we can start an RP of our own. And there hasn't been a post there in about a week now. >.>

[glow=red,2,300]Trivia about the alchemist academy: One building has huge transmutation circles carved into the ground specifically for large-scale projects. Remember that Athar used that - and the lives of a couple of his students - to make that thingumy that he used to contact Celestial.[/glow] The circles can also be used to create heat (got to power those steam engines somehow if you don't have a real fire). [glow=red,2,300]Also remember that the alchemists and Blackstone's company mass-produce Thermal Energy Producers that run on alchemy. Did we ever decide exactly how TEPs work, actually? EDIT: Re: Human Transmutation, one of Toka's ideas for a Steampunk RP is Athar finding out that Leraye used alchemy to make the Philosopher's Stone his soul-gems. And then ideas start hatching in Athar's evil brain.[/glow]
