Liger, seeing the fox jump at him, froze for a second; one that Adeesa used to roll from under the beast.
She could swear she had understood what the fox said. Then again, maybe she had just dreamed...

The creature was quick. The best Artemis could manage was clamping down on the thing's shoulder as it tried to face him. The beast howled in pain and rage and Artemis tasted salty blood. It then proceeded to twist and turn furiously, trying to shake the annoying fox on his shoulder. Artemis tried to bite down harder, hoping to give the girl more time to escape, but his strength failed him.
When the creature gave a particularly sharp shake, Artemis lost his grip and flew against the wall of the alleyway. He hit it with a painful smack and crumpled to a heap next to the terrified girl. Artemis tried to move but yelped instead because of the pain. "darn it," he moaned, lying prone on the ground, watching the bleeding creature advance upon him.

Aerisa arrived just as Liger sent a fox after him flying. She used her whip, making it roll around her beast's neck, and tighted it. Liger let a roar, but she jumped on his back, taking her new knife and putting it under it's neck, pressing it. Liger froze immediatly, overtaken by a great fear.
Adeesa didn't wait to see what would happen next. She grabbed her mallet, raised herself and ran to the fox, taking it in her arm. "Think you can turn back or want me to get you somewhere? We've gotta run." She said, hoping the fox would understand her. She put her hair behind her ear, while looking at Liger and Aerisa, not realizing she had just made her scales fully apparent...
***
Liger had been created by a circus with the admited wish of having a new freak exibit. Removed from his mother at birth, the 2 months he spent there were hells... They hurt him, most of the time, using knives. Ever since then, and even after Aerisa took him in, he kept a great fear of those instrument... When it was an ennemy trying to use it against him, he could manage to ignore it and still fight. But here, like that, with the knife under his throat.... the fear was unbearable.
"Calmer now? You better be." Aerisa said in a cold voice. "I do not want to hurt you, but if you keep acting like a fool like that, I WILL. I am your master, you are NOT to do anything of the sort without my order."
Holy Great Lion.... That women was so scary sometime...

Gerard ducked into the small clumps of nocturnal people, stalking a potential victim. He kept his knife down, because if he poked someone with it, he could well be in serious trouble.
The warriors were still on the chase.
He separated again and ducked into the shadows once again, taking out a smaller blade than the one he had been clutching.
For a fleeting moment there he forgot that they wore metal armor, and the rogue hurled the dagger towards their backs.

Thak just stared for a couple seconds then gripped his forehead shaking his head in an annoyed manner. Somehow what had appeared to be a group of skilled Morphos had now created something of an undignified brawl around the mad beast. This was getting ridiculous. He wanted to go over right then and just behead them all but that would only bring more attention to them; if more was possible at this point.
Making up his mind quicky the bounty hunter grabbed a large reptilian skull packed with a low grade poison powder. It wouldn't be enough to kill, but enough to knock them out for some time making then easier to deal with.
Glad that they had pretty much distracted all attention away from his location Thak strode up closer to get better aim down the alleyway. With one hurling throw he lunged the skull down the narrow passage and grinned as he heard the sound of cracking bone

"Get ... the elf," Artemis growled in between rasped breaths. "darn it, she ... can't understand me." He tried to move but more pain assaulted him and he gave up.
Then his keen ears picked up the cracking of a bone against stone.
~*~*~*~
"Come on Brother, we have them now!" Khestrel shouted, raising his blade and starting for the backs of the female Morpho and her beast. It was then that he heard a grunt behind him. He spun just in time to see the senior knight go down, the hilt of a dagger visible in his lower back. "Sontag!" he gasped, backtracking to inspect the paladin. Still breathing, good. By Selbaden, it's lodged in the chainmail links! I have to get him to the Church.
There was a sound of something breaking and he turned his head to see the Morpho fugitive and her beast disappear into a cloud of green dust. His eyes narrowed as a wicked grin spread on his face. "My apologies Sontag," he said coldly, dropping his comrades hand and taking up his sword. "The Morpho must die for what it dd to you." Iactura paucourm serva multos. He advanced methodically towards the two figures.

Gerard watched one of the knights go down. The dagger had made its mark. He only wished he could have dabbed a little poison to increase the chances of its target dying.
Fearing that another blade throw would arouse more suspicion, he disappeared back into the alley and away from the scene, absorbed in his thoughts.

Aerisa and Adeesa had the same reflex upon hearing the skull crack and seeing the green cloud. The reached their clothes, ripping it almost in half, and put all of it on their mouth. It was extremely hard to breath with it, but at least, they were sure what they got was pure air, and not... whatever this was.
Adeesa, closer than Aerisa to were the skull had exploded, had swallowed a bit, and was feeling extremely dizzy, but she had to stay awake.....
"The elf.... right?" She thought, entering the small alley. "Let's hope she found a way to protect herself from the dust....."
***
Liger struggled to stay on his feet. He couldn't protect himself against the poison, and while he was big enough not to be knocked out by it, it did weakened him...
Aerisa removed the knife from his throath. "Go... run." She managed to say under the cloath she was holding. Now wasn't the time to scare him into submission; They'd die if they didn't go away...

Divna watched through the translucent ice biting her lower lip. She couldn't tell what was going on at all. Her tears crstallized as soon as they fell within the frozen barrier. All the elfling wanted to do was cuddle her warm kitten but now she had to face the heartbreaking realisation that Nini was missing and may not be found again. Silently she prayed to the goddess of winter to protect the fox-man that had saved her and that Nini would find somewhere warm to stay while she was gone and have plently of milk and fish to feast on. ***** Thak let out a vicious chorttle watching the lot of them panic in some way or another. The beast may have fled but that only made it easier to close in on the gaggle of Morphos. He still couldn't imagine why so many had appeared suddenly in such a populated area. Unstrapping his axe the orc trudged down into the alleyway glad he was immune to most of his posions. He pushed forward into the cloud and grabbed the injured one by the shirt front and slammed him up against one of the walls with one enormouis hand "Well freak, any last remarks before your head becomes a decoration my dwelling?"

((Edit: Does a Morpho become a full creature when he/she changes or half-half? Example, am I a fox or half-fx in this form?))
Artemis had held his breath as soon as he heard the skull breaking but it didn’t matter when some huge orc suddenly rammed him against a wall. He barely heard what the orc had said.
Three words green-skin: get a bath! With that, Artemis bit down hard on the orc’s offending, disgusting hand, hoping to get loose and make a run towards the alley.
~*~*~*~
Nothing made paladins of Selbaden sick; neither poison nor disease affected them. But as Khestrel strode confidently through the dissipating cloud, which he assumed was some sort of poison, he was taken aback to see the beast and its master already running off down the street as if unaffected by the green dust. “Halt!” he shouted in vain, knowing that he could never catch up at this rate. “Blast! If not because of this powder I would have been able to catch them!” he cursed.
Out of the corner of his eye he noticed a lowly orc holding a fox up against a wall. His eyes narrowed when he spied the collection of skulls and the broken pieces of one on the floor. “Orc! I want a word with you!” he commanded, stalking towards the preoccupied orc.

Liger ran with Aerisa on his back. As soon as they exited the green cloud, she removed the cloth from her mouth, breathing more freely. The voice of the Paladin, however, made her think.
"Liger, turn around, take the shortest road, we're going back to Adeesa."
The beast growled, jumping on one of the house roof, turning back to the alley. Aerisa put the cloth back of her face as they entered the cloud again.
***
Adeesa coughed, trying to find her way. She couldn't get enough air with that cloth on her face.. She fell on her knee, putting one hand on the wall near her. Stay awake, don't faint at any cost... She had to...

((Me no know >.>))
Thak cursed loudly and whipped the fox thing hard on the ground. It had barely penetrated skin but it was still annoying. Snarling he lodged one end of the axe into the wall where Artemis had been and snarled at the paladin.
"Oi! Wha' the 'eck do you want ya pompous scoundrel?!"
The one thing Thak, or any other ill-tempered orcs for that matter, could not stand was paladins. They always made some sort of frivolous show of bravado about anything and rambled for hours about how pure and good and brilliant they were. This one didn't seen an ounce different.

OOC: The transformation is total. But the vast majority of Morphos have this special hability: When they tranform into animals, their clothes disappear, and they reappear when they transform back. Not all do, but most. Also, they gain specials habilities, as said. Physical or Magical.
For exemple, Aerisa get physically weaker in her wolf form, but she has a surprising hability: When she bite the back of the neck of ANY animal, they turn into a kind of Zombie and she can control them, even if they faint/die. Backside, she can control them only for so long as she hold her bite. If she fall, she loses it. Also, if she bite too hard and break their necks, she cannot control them. This goes with her class as a trainer.
Also, while we're on the subject, the pain of transformation change from Morpho to Morpho. For some the pain is fairly weak, but last when the are transforming, when they are transformed, and when they transform back, while for other the pain is intense, but last only when they are transforming, and transform back. The kind of pain will also sometime change.
Hope that help =3
