This is The World of Allegion, this world has been at war for countless years, a war between Humans and their technology, and the Elementities, and their magical abilities which they have by being attached to one of the elements Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Dark, Light, Ice, and Psychic.
Elementities (or 'creatures' as the humans call them) are beings which can be any shape at birth, but usually the shape of animals in a colour that corresponds with their element. Each Elementity is born with connection with one of the elements, which, with practise, means that they can use that element to create, heal, destroy, or do anything they wish. But not if this displeases their element.
All humans are brought up to believe that the 'creatures' are evil, and aspire to go to war and kill them. However, some people do not totally accept this, as they are taught it there is a nagging feeling in the back of their heads, telling them that it simply is not true. Eventually, these people develop magical powers of their own, fairly similar to those of the Elementities.
When this happens, that nagging feeling takes over. These people are targeted by a group known as the Teleyana. A resistance group to the war who all have these magic powers, and try to stop the war and protect those involved, especially other Teleyana. These people also eventually find an elementity that was born at the exact same time as them, when they do, the two become instant partners.
There are also a few Elementities who do not have Teleyana partners, but agree with the ideals of the Teleyana, and want the war to stop. These Elementities are known as the Pacifists, and are hated by all other Elementities. There are many Elementities who will kill a Pacifist without a second though if they find one, even if unprovoked, even if it is their own family.
The Teleyana are public enemy number one to all humans, especially the Teleyana leader Escreon, and they have been driven to the Elementity's side of the world. This is mainly because Humans do not know the whole story.
Propaganda is rampant, and as far as civilians know, The Teleyana are a group of people who went over to the 'creatures' and made a deal that if they were 'given magic of their own' they would fight with the creatures. This has also given humans with high importance a rampant paranoia regarding Teleyana and Elementities.
Any suspicion that someone may be Teleyana such as wearing bright colours usually result in that person being shot on sight without discussion as Teleyana usually wear clothes in colours that symbolize their elements and their hair almost always becomes that kind of colour eventually.
Also, all animals on the Human hemisphere have been killed, except for very few which have either been put in high security, extremly expensive zoos, or put in training facilities where they are tortured.
Not only this, but the majority of the Elementities hate the Teleyana as well. Those that fight in the war believe that since the Humans attacked them first, they shouldn't take that lying down, and they've gotten it into their heads that the Teleyana want everyone dead.
In this rp you can be whatever you want to be, Will you be on the Human side, fighting the creatures? Will you be a creature? Maybe pacifism appeals to you, in which case you'll be one of the creatures who helps the Teleyana but does not fight in the war. Or will you be one of the few Humans that eventually discover that they are Teleyana? The choice is up to you.
Place Descriptions:[/u]
Human City
The largest city of the Humans that has not been polluted or affected by global warming. The name was forgotten long ago, along with any kind of greenery or park. It is now simply known as 'the city'. In the outskirts of the city are the slums and the local orphanage, dirty and disgusting, for the 'lower class' people to live.
Coming in a bit, we have the average houses, for those who earn a bit of a living, and the small shops and a couple of bars. Then we get to the bigger houses and maybe some small mansions, and the department stores and hotels. Near the centre of city we have the offices, massive mansions, and big important places and skyscrapers.
And then, at the very centre of it all is the Base of Operations. The BOO is the second most important building on the Human hemisphere, and it has the most complex security system known to man. Very few have got in uninvited.
Creature Sanctuary
Near the place where Human territory meets Elementity territory is The Creature Sanctuary. The Creature Sanctuary is an incredibly interesting location. It is large enough to house the majority of the entire Creature population, (which is just as large as the Human population, if not larger) and it works in a way that pleases each and every one.
It is powered by something known as the Force Gathering. A place where a huge amount of energy from the eight elements is concentrated. Many of those with extremely developed ‘magical powers’ used it’s energy to create the Creature Sanctuary, which can create any natural environment possible, meaning that all Creatures can be in an environment that they are suited to.
This is also beneficial because it means that other, non-sentient animals could be kept alive, meaning the Creatures had a natural source of food. The Force Gathering is surrounded by miles of Elemental Field. Elemental Field is the term for a patch of unstable land in the Creature Sanctuary.
Elemental Field will change its terrain and what is on top of it very quickly and randomly, sometimes only staying the same for seconds at a time. Patches of Elemental Field are dotted all across the Creature Sanctuary, but none are as unstable as that surrounding the Force Gathering.
Pacifist Village
The Pacifist Village was built on one of the few places in the Elementity hemisphere that is not touched by the Creature Sanctuary. It was formed by Trelant, an exiled Elementity, around the time that Fralentan came into power. It was designed to be a safe haven for those who had been banished from the Sanctuary.
At first, its creation was very slow, but more and more Elementities were exiled as time went on, and this gradually became a thriving community.
After a while, Escreon and Trelant formed an alliance, and with the aid of the Teleyana the village quickly became a pleasant, self-sufficient community that still remains one of the only places that has left most of what naturally grows around them untouched and alive.
Most of the village is grass, trees, flowers etc. all of its residents make their own houses as hey see fit, provided they respect that which is around them. Several normal animals wander around here. This careful symbiosis with nature means that the village rarely has to go anywhere else to remain alive.
Teleyana Base
An enormous cave deep in the earth’s crust. No one truly knows where it actually is apart from the Teleyana leader, and the information is kept on a strictly need-to-know basis. This is where all of the Teleyana live and plan. The cave is made using a lot of power from the elements, and is said to be protected by the very souls of the Teleyana that formed it.
Earth Teleyana hollowed it out, and their protection keeps it standing. Water and Air Teleyana brought their elements down to it so that those who lived in it could drink and breathe. Their protection keeps a cycle going, and the water and air now make their own way down through the earth and into the cave.
Fire and Ice Teleyana gave it appropriate warmth, and Light and Dark Teleyana give it appropriate light. These things now seem to come from nowhere. And Psychic Teleyana kept it hidden and gave it access, as well as supporting its foundations and creating the doors of energy that will only dispel if touched with the elements. One of these Teleyana still lives and keeps that protection today.
Battlefield
The only point where Elementity territory meets Human territory. There are some stories and concept pictures about how this used to be a beautiful field of plantlife. Now, however, it is as though life itself has simply given up, and become a manic depressant.
Only the extremely strong can cope with The Battlefield the first time they see it, most throw up, some faint. The second you come close, each one of your senses is brutally attacked. You see the corpses of every race. Human, Creature, Teleyana, all are mixed into a huge gorey torrent of blood and decaying flesh.
You can smell the huge amount of gunpowder, the raw, corrosive smell of too much elemental control, the horrific rotting of what was once a person, and the inescapable stench of blood. You can taste the pollutants in the air; the metal, magic and flesh. You can hear the screams of pain, victory, defeat.
And everything can be touched, everything touches you, and when enough touches you... you won't touch anything anymore.
The nearest places to the Battlefield are the Creature Sanctuary, (barely five feet away.) and the Human City, (several miles away.) All troops from the Human City are flown in by helicopter, as the land between the Human City and the Battlefield is too messed up for any human to get across alive.
EDIT: ((I will post a character at any one of the given places. Just ask. Or, if asked, I'll just post a character in a place of my choice.))
