{Well, considering that Arlene's gonna come in, at least that's what Kat says, I believe we're going to have a spellcaster, so that would have us: 1 Warrior, 1 Archer, 1 Spellcaster, 1 Healer, and 2 Theives. If Kat doesn't become Spellcaster, however, then we'll stick to Frozen choosing a different class for his character or a whole different character all around. And loot really isn't too common to get with defeating a monster. Just lazy ole' me who didn't want to lamely say, "You get a freakin healing potion, knock yourself out!" or, "You get a blast potion, let's go kill your foes with an item!" So I just got creative that time and made us, with rarity, gain a little loot from the Cursed Weewoo. Which, sadly, probably was a poor choice, as mutated, sprawling, demonic weewoos don't usually have anything really valuable, and the party rather need a potion or two, anyway. But Shazvar's health will recover ever so slowly between battles.} ((Hokay. So, go for it, Froze. ^^ Heh, poor Shaz. ... Yes, I do have to make up nicknames for every single character and use them as much as possible -__- Why do you ask?)) {We had a guy in 4th grade named Shadman. He reminds me of Shazvar. ^^ [/offtopicness]* Ahem. Shazvar was astounded. And Sabs is lazily. And would rather have Frozen or Velo or somebody react to the tripping-of-the-theif first so Sabs doesn't have to make up some cheesy speech from Shazvar.

It was getting a bit crowded for his tastes. He unsheathed his dagger, walking up to the theif sprawled out on the floor. He picked him up with his hand, holding the dagger just inches away from his neck. "Care to do a little explaining?" he asked, arching his eyebrows.

Mirre wondered if the archer had, in fact, seen her, or just the other thief tripping. She took a slow step back into the shadows around the corner just in case, shifting her weight against the small dagger hidden in her boot. The comforting iron pressed lightly against her calf, and the Kougra smiled grimly in the darkness.

Shazvar gritted his teeth in annoyance, having a feeling there were many people here who were enemies, but failed to unsheathe his sword. He was still a little weak from that gash the monster had made, so he knew raising up his blade would be a bit heavier and much more difficult. Plus he really didn't have any healing potions, and when scouring the Cursed Weewoo slightly, all he found was the rare piece of loot. Then, glancing down as he stood slightly behind Velo, Shazvar noticed the theif was clutching the book that disappeared before at his side (right? Sorry, Frozen, we might have to accidentally slightly play a bit of your parts while you're having this strange "lunch" you speak of), and his eyes curiously coursed through the title. There really was none, except for a few faded silver lettering. Before the theif could fall away from Velo's eyes, Shazvar took it as a distraction and snatched the book back as what was rightfully his. Shazvar flipped the book around so he was holding it the normal sort of way. Feeling a paw over the leather binding, he flipped it open, weaving through the pages interestedly and studying a few fragments. Most of the spells and potion ingredients were for advanced Healers, but there was one spell in the back at caught his attention: "Inferno: Enhancing flames of any blade thou shall wield." Shazvar gains 1 more level in his, "Power Attack" skill. The spell also doubled as a clue. Perhaps some of the spells in these books were used in the creating of the avalanche. It didn't quite lead up to anything, but it gave another foundation of the cause of such a tradegy. ROFL. Me and Sabs posted at the same time. XD Course, she deleted her post, but still... {Blaw, I always hate when that happens. XP Especially on sites such as Neopets.}

He picked him up with his hand, holding the dagger just inches away from his neck. "Care to do a little explaining?" he asked, arching his eyebrows. The Usul asked, "Whatever do you mean, Mr. Scorchio?" hiding the book hastily while trying to look as innocently as possible.

She walked around the corner, tiptoeing on the frozen fragile boards. She griped her staff tighter, but when she turned around the corner what she expected to see, empy darkness, was replaced with an almost comical scene. "What a lot of beautiful people we have here, in such a run-down shack too, an odd sight." An idea comes to her in a flash. "In a supposedly curesed Ski house too." The idea of a curse either sends them running away, or father in, either way away from me, but they could be useful for information, she mused silently. She winked at the man with the dagger to the girls throat. She was used to the scene, political intrigue made her old before her time. She hoped he wasn't a dissastified husband or lover, those were the most dangerous men.

Mirre's teeth flashed white in the darkness as she saw the newcomer pad quietly past her. A Royal Aisha... how much luck was that? A great deal, certainly. Royal pets were always rich. The mention she'd made of a curse, however, was slightly alarming, but not much so. Royals, after all, were all stupid ninnies with their heads in a snowbank. She was fairly sure that this Aisha wouldn't know a curse if it ran up and bit her. Amused at this mental image, Mirre shifted position, and the floorboard underneath her creaked in protest. Immediately the Kougra froze, her gaze flashing towards the others. Had they heard?

One that looked pretty important, in fact. "LOOK! A ROYAL AISHA!" he shouted to the scorchio who was nearly slitting his throat

She shakes her paws and smiles good naturedly. "Really now, I'm not a queen." She thinks she hears a creaking but dismisses as general creaking of the house. She gives a wink to the Schorchio. "You look like a sensible fellow, I would ask why you have a dagger to his throat, but I think that question seems a bit to obvious." She twirls around gracefully with a walk gained from years of training, while at the same time keeping her eyes down. For a moment amathyst eyes peirce Velo's with a feirceness unparralelled by any warrior. "So instead, I'll ask why are you here?"

A moment of plain silence passed by, then Shazvar stepped forward into the quiet with the book dropped behind him. He stares at Crete, searching her glazed, purple eyes, trying to read her thoughts. There was a sophistication in her, Shazvar could see, but he let it slide past him, quavering over her words.
"We're here to find out what happened and what caused the avalanche a few months ago," He began, unintentionally sounding a bit defiant in some way, "and also to take a look at some of the things left behind. There's creatures here, so something must be wrong."
His own speech astounded Shazvar, like he couldn't do that for his life, heck, any pet that was soon to turn 16 would've had trouble making an explanation like that. He pouted slightly, then peered over to the theif within Velo's claws out the corner of his eyes.

Mirre let out a soft breath. If the others weren't taking notice of her now, they never would. Which meant that she was safe... for the moment, at least.
((Someone notice Mirre, I'm getting bored of just having her stand here XD and she's too cautious to do something on her own.))
