As I get closer and the screams get more frantic I smile. There couldn't be anything too dangerous here, at least I hoped there wasn't. Probably just some stupid boy from the village, Fyora knows that there was plenty of them. I keep on walking. You should do third-person. It's betta. ^^ *nod nod* I've been getting into that whole Kiddo "*nod nod*" thing, haven't I? Maybe I should put a disclaimer....*BRICK'D*

((Can Arlene Darkfire and I get back in the game?)) ((Sure. But remember that you're on you're hiatus.)) Velo was still idly flipping through the books, when out of the corner of his eye he suddenly saw one that caught his attention. Hmm, this book...? He thought, surveying the title. This could actually be... His thoughts were interrupted as the Bori from before burst into the room. He moved his head up in annoynace, when he saw a flying Weewoo, which appeared to be horribly mutated, chasing after the hapless Neopet. His face grimaced for a second, before he quickly notched an arrow onto his crossbow, firing it with accuracy at the creature. (1+2+4 = 7 damage) ((So... Weewoo dies. Whee.))

Congratulations
Cursed Weewoo defeated.
Shazvar gains 200 exp. Velo gains 150 exp.
Shaz: 200/1000 Velo: 150/1000
The (unofficial) party gains 15 gold.
A granite horn (for loot) is picked up.
The strange, horrible beast of a weewoo slammed to the ground from the ceiling where Velo had shot it. The arrow was pointing out from one of its shoulder joints, still vibrating from the Cursed Weewoo's land. The impact of both finally killed off the creature.
"So there are monsters here..." Shazvar panted, coughing slightly with fatigue. The angle of his attack and his astounding, yet ridiculous amount of running caused him to get a bit tired. Using a lick of his tongue and flinging the blade around a little, the Bori freed his sword of a few spots of blood and sheathed it in the strong casing.
Shazvar stuffed the loot he gained into one of the pockets of his uniform.

Mirre scowled as she heard the Weewoo fall. Now she'd have to fight the others herself; not that it'd be any inconvenience, but it wouldn't be as efficient. Fingering the hilt of her one kunai, she poked her head once more around the corner, gauging the positions of the others in the hall.

((Yessir, I mean ma'm. ^^)) Velo looked at the downed abonimation of a bird curiously. He pulled out his arrow, deciding to look at it later to see if he could find anything more about it. He then seemed to realize something, and passed the book he was looking at to the Bori. "Here, you may want to take a look, it might interest you," he said, handing him the book on curses and spells.

The book's missing!

Shazvar raised an eyebrow at Velo's book, and just as his curiousity was to be fulfilled and the book was being given to the Bori, some flashed by. It was no easier than to see than a shadow, and the thing simply passed by, leaving Shazvar speechless.
"Where'd it go?" He hastily commented, realizing that the book was likely snatched, but he couldn't say for sure. "I swear you were just about ready to give it to me, then it merely vanished out of clear sight."
There was a couple of taps on far away floorboard, and it was likely the sound of stray, accidentally placed feet. Shazvar's head instantly bolted over to the source of the sound, but everything looked normal. There was a silence, then Shazvar sighed and turned toward Velo once again. "Not this game," The Bori rubbed his head irritably, his serious look fading to a more casual, reluctant one.

Mirre sighed in annoyance as she spotted the dark shadow darting past the other two. A knight and an archer were all very well, but did another thief truly have to come and irritate her by intruding on her grounds?
Gauging the approach of the dark figure, she withdrew and then prudently stuck a foot out around the corner to trip up the other thief.
((And, um, not that I feel as strongly about this as Mirre does, but will it work for us to have two thieves and no battle-spell mage? ^^ Just wondering, since it seems a bit counter-productive. Yanno, thieves aren't good for much battle stuff. 'Cept stealing, I guess, but you get loot from the monsters anyway when you kill them.))

((You've got a point. Should I withdraw and start over?)) ((Now that you're here you may as well continue, though it's not my decision, really. --Sabs, what do you say/think of all this?)) {Well, considering that Arlene's gonna come in, at least that's what Kat says, I believe we're going to have a spellcaster, so that would have us: 1 Warrior, 1 Archer, 1 Spellcaster, 1 Healer, and 2 Theives. If Kat doesn't become Spellcaster, however, then we'll stick to Frozen choosing a different class for his character or a whole different character all around. And loot really isn't too common to get with defeating a monster. Just lazy ole' me who didn't want to lamely say, "You get a freakin healing potion, knock yourself out!" or, "You get a blast potion, let's go kill your foes with an item!" So I just got creative that time and made us, with rarity, gain a little loot from the Cursed Weewoo. Which, sadly, probably was a poor choice, as mutated, sprawling, demonic weewoos don't usually have anything really valuable, and the party rather need a potion or two, anyway. But Shazvar's health will recover ever so slowly between battles.}
