Note: You must have either read the books or seen the movies the Lord of the Rings to be in this RP or you will be confused. Also note that not everyone can speak Elvish fluently.
This RP takes place about a week before the Battle of Helm's Deep, which if this RP lasts long enough, we may get to. For now, Saruman's Uruk-Hai and Wild Men are burning the villages of Rohan. Meanwhile, Sauron's forces from Mordor are attacking Gondor. The rangers of Ithillian struggle to protect the land. The orcs often attack Osgiliath, but so far they haven't made it into Minas Tirith.
The elves also battle the forces of Mordor. Although the orcs haven't discovered Rivendell or Lothlorien, the wood elves of Mirkwood often find themselves fighting.
The order of wizards spread across Middle-Earth during this time, helping where they can. However, now that Saruman has betrayed them they are without a leader, making them weak and unorganized.
The dwarves of Erbor fight their own battles, but they don't worry as much about the spreading shadow, as many orcs cannot find or do not bother to go to their underground kindoms. Some dwarves still try to retake Moria and Khazad-Dum, and lately they seem to be doing better now that the Balrog has dissapeard. However, they still have great trouble with the goblins and cave trolls.
Rules: The ususal thing; No godmoding or powerplaying, no mary-sues, no characters directly out of the movie. Oh, and one rule I often give out is don't make your character a complete clone of one in the movie. Don't even be lazy and say your character dresses "Just like Legolas" or something like that. You can have as many characters as you want until I say you can't make any more.

Personality: A soldier of Gondor and guardian of the White City. Garin was brought up to be very cautious about who he befriended. However, once you become his friend, he is extremely loyal and never betrays your trust, unless you betray his.
Appearence: He has no exteme facial hair, except for some small hair around his mouth. He has shoulder length black hair, and wears typical Gondorian armor, including a chestplate with the White Tree of Gondor on it, and a helmet.
Name: Aden
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Personality: Ever since he was a young boy in Rohan, he seemed to have a way with animals, particularly horses. It was fitting that later on in his life he would become a rider of Rohan. He is friendly, sometimes naiive, but not to an extreme amount. He still has some mistrust towards others, particularly other races, such as the elves. However, like Garin, once you become his friend he never betrays your trust. He's just a bit more loose than Garin.
Appearence: He has long, sandy brown hair. He has a full mustache and beard, and wears Rohirrim armor, including a helmet and a green cloak. He often carries a spear or a sword.
Name: Thaine
Gender: Male
Species: Elf
Personality: He comes from Mirkwood, where he trained as a scout and archer. He is an excellent woodsmen, picking up trails by traces on the ground and even sometimes scent. He has a natural mistrust for dwarves like most elves do. He is friendly with other elves, and neutral with humans. He can have varying levels of trust for a person he's just met, depending on how that person seems.
Appearence: He has long, dark hair and deep blue eyes. He has a slim, slender body, and light fair skin. He wears an elven cloak, and has a Mirkwood bow and arrows, and a short sword.
