Amneiger gave Hunty his best innocent look. "Forget what now? I missed what you were sa - Oh, that has completely erased your last few statements."
Amneiger manuevered himself until his back was to Sarn and he was facing Shade.
"If I decided not to hold up my end of the deal, you can just take the points away and have a new winner declared. There'd be no reason not to let you do that."

"Your loss if you don't follow through, then." Shade considered for a moment, and then grinned. "Okay. You get points if you stop letting people put advertising on your minitank."
"Zylaa... huh." The weasels were amusing, she had to admit, but there was a limit to the interesting things little furry thing could do. "Can your weasels play music? I'd like to see a weasel band. But only if it plays good music," she added hastily. "You'll get points taken away if they play badly."

Amneiger thought about it for a minute.
"Well, I can give you 24 hours after Draco's contract finishes without advertising. It'll cost you extra, though, since I won't be able to let anyone else use the space during that time. 200 points."
"Or, I can give you the 24 hours right now and move Hunty and Draco's contracts to a later timeslot. Since I'll have to inconvenience Hunty and Draco, that'll be 400 points."
"But if you want me to not take any more advertising contracts for the rest of Bribe Bash, you'll have to give me enough points for me to not regret taking away that option."
Amneiger took a moment to think about it. What was the highest, most ludicrous number of points he could possibly try to justify using that reasoning? Shade might want to haggle it downwards, too...
"4,000 points."

Well, at least she was answering.
"I'm willing to charge 5 points for each hour without advertising. So for the first option, I can go down to 120 points."
"The second option I can bring down to 160 points."
"The third option, which is probably what you were referring too...uh..." Yup, 4,000 really was too much. "500 points for dividing 2,000 by 4."

Amneiger stepped forward the rest of the way, put his hands on her arms, and kissed Shade.

Shade hadn't expected quite so simple a reaction as she got, though she'd known of Amneiger's liking for her. It was the reason she'd offered the kiss as part of her counter-offer, after all.
She also hadn't expected him to be so sweet about it.
When Shade pulled away from the scientist, she took a few steps back, seperating them enough so that Amneiger couldn't easily follow and try to claim more than his due. At Draco's comment, Shade turned to glare at the ninja. "Perhaps you should try it," she said, more sweetly than her expression would lead one to expect. "It's even more interesting then."
