"Climb into the dragon's mouth and stick my sword into the roof of its mouth, poking into its brain?" Garin suggested. "It's a dragon. Just fight it. What else is there to it?"

"Yeah you can climb in it's mouth." she flipped though her book, "Well a death spell would work if a lot of people were doing it at the same time. But no one else here can do magic."

((*teh back*))
Fred growled. "I never said I agreed to go." she muttered, then sighed. "Well, since it's too late, I guess I'll have to stay. But I warn you all; one step too close to me, one sudden movement too much and you'll have one of my daggers through your heart." she was being serious. Fred was young, yes, and had never killed anybody before, but she would do it, if it was necessary. "And I'm not helping you because I want to. I'm helping you because I have to, now that this witch brought me here without my consent."
((No offense meant to Lili, it's just that Fred isn't in a very good mood right now.))

"Your fault for not saying anything during the conversation," said Garin.

"I was trying to remain unnoticed." Fred told the knight. "I thought speaking would be a terrible mistake to make, especially after that clumsy, idiotic fall I had. I was hoping that if I kept my mouth shut, you'd forget my presence."
You always hope. she thought to herself. You hoped your father would remember you existed ever since you found out he spent all your money on alcohol, yet you knew he wouldn't. You hoped your life would get better when you left the house, yet it's still an absolute h*ll. You hoped so many times in your short life, surely you'd have noticed it never works by now.
Fred bit her lip. "It was a mistake, though." she admitted. She turned to the witch. "I'd rather you not wasting your powers on me." she told her. "I thought it over quickly, and I think it's better if I do stay here."
It'll get me away from my life as a thief for a while. she pointed out to herself.

Chris lets a small ball of energy to appear in his hand. "I can do some magic." He extinguishes the ball. "I prefer my sword though."

Dydri sighed. "If it was the type of dragon you could kill that easily, I wouldn't need you all. I have a sword myself. This dragon is two stories high with armor-thick scales, not to mention fire breathing, fangs, claws, and a spiked tail. A death spell would help, yes."

"Are you sure one simple spell could so easily kill a dragon?" asked Garin.

"Dragons are hard to kill with magic." Chris looks at the cave. He hides a smile creeping onto his face. Back on the job.

"I'm sure that a the death spell would work. It isn't simple though and we would need about 100 well trained magic doers to have the spell kill the dragon."

"Can you disable the dragon?"

"This Chris has a point," said Garin. "If we disabled it, killing it should be at least marginally easier."

Dydri said, "I never said a killing spell would do all the work. And yes, now that you mention it... disabling it would help. Our best bet might be to divert its attention..." she trailed off, then snapped her fingers. "I've got it! All dragons will do anything to protect their horde, so if we make them think the treasure is in danger, it will be distracted."

"It's as good a plan as any, and I'd rather die using that plan," said Garin.
