"Well, it's a few days walk to get to the dragon's lair, unless the witch can transport us there. We should leave as soon as possible- the evil creatures of the forest know we're here, and they're closing in." Dydri turned to Chris. "You people aren't the only ones that don't trust others."

"I'd rather not have the witch teleport us," said Garin. "She might make us dissapear forever or something similar. I don't trust witches."

"I will honestly transport you all. Unless a certain someone wishes to walk." She flipped through the spell book at her side. "It would be safest and easyest to transport you one at a time. But I don't know where it is I'll need a map or a good description."

Garin knew that if these people could fight at all they would defeat the witch long before he arrived at the scene, if she actually teleported them and he walked. "I'll let you teleport me, but no tricks," said Garin grudgingly.

"Okay. The land is hilly and scorched bare, all charred rock. We want to end up by one black burned tree about 20 feet high that's in a very small valley. It's a few hours away from the actual cave, but if we go any closer the dragon will sense the magic and kill us instantly."

Garin didn't like the feeing of being teleported, but was relieved when he found himself next to a charred tree. The witch had actually did what she said she would do. "What now?" Garin asked.
