"And she was using fire," added Xavier softly. "Having your own element used against you is disturbing."

Noel had gotten bored of the talk and wandered off. Someone tapped her on the shoulder, and she whirled around. A girl about her age stood there. "Hi!" A tendril of mist swirled about her feet.
"Hi! You can control mist, too?" said Noel eagerly.
"Sure can! Isn't it fun?" The girl held out her hand and waved mist about them.
Inwardly, Mirra smiled. Her appearance of a nine-year-old girl was a mere illusion. Absorbing Noel's powers was too easy.
Storm paused, seeing that her sister was no longer at her side. She turned and saw Noel and Mirra. Being used to dealing with Noel's powers, she recognized Mirra's form as an illusion - a skillfully crafted one, to be sure, but certainly not real.
"Noel, stop messing around and let's go."
"But Storm!" said Noel. "I just met this girl, and she can control mist, too!"
Storm frowned. Something was very wrong, and she could see in Noelani's innocent eyes that the illusion girl was no joke or figment of her sister's bored imagination. "Noel, come over here."
Recognizing the urgency in her sister's voice, Noel complied. "What is it?"
Storm watched Mirra's illusion-shape tentatively, with an arm about her sister's shoulders. "Noel, try making an illusion. Just anything."
Mirra found herself in a dilemma. If she released Noel's powers, her disguise would evaporate. If she did not, Noel would not be able to do anything to show her sister. Either way, Mirra would be discovered.
Noel tried as hard as she could, but she couldn't make the barest wisp of mist appear. "This is weird," she commented.
Storm stiffened. "Let's get out of her," she hissed to Xavier and Chris. "I'll explain later."

Lisha was scared. She didn't know who this Mirra person was and why Noel couldn't contol mist any more but every one else was scared and Lisha became scared too. The wind started blowing in all different directions.
"Guys, I have a bad feeling about something. The wind is acting up. It does that when ever something--- oh right... I have powers. I still have a bad fealing"
