Are all of the guilds supposedly in the same land and keep to their own little areas, or are they all in separate lands? If the former is correct, what should I know about this land in terms of geography and the local fauna?

Just look at the picture posted on the sub-board inside the Guilds board. It's how the whole thing looks like.

Actually it doesn't, at least not one-on-one, but it works as a reference, I s'pose. In general, there's one guild world (the pic in the subboard represents Dunburrow where the Knights reside, but in past roleplays we've gone from icy cold regions in far north to Tabloid Town that I've always imagined as rather far south, and lots of places inbetween). Most of the time we invent locations based on necessity and there's really no such thing as 'hey, you can't be there'.
One day we really should map as much as we possibly can, though >.> Just to be on the same page.

[glow=red,2,300]The fact remains, though, that you can't map a sense of humo- I mean, insanity. ^_^
On that note, everyone keeps insisting that Dunburrow is by the sea, when canon says it's land-locked. XD Someone needs to fix this. We know Kienne's kingdom is by the sea. We just don't know what her kingdom is called. >.>; [/glow]

And the mercenary HQ is hidden in the forest.

Guess it could be called a kingdom in its strictest sense... And yeeeah, we should fix that canon as Dunburrow being by the sea, otherwise a certain bunch of honest seafaring opportunists won't be able to reach it without spending a couple days in a postal carriage, and you wouldn't want to miss the chance of meeting us, would you? If I hadn't slapped in that big ocean right next to Dunburrow, the pirates would pretty much have missed GW2.

It's generally established (I think?) that the ninja lands are focused on a large mountain. How much it extends around that mountain is not known. The mountain itself is populated, sometimes on terraced areas and sometimes via caves.
Beyond that, Shoi's own home is a reconditioned temple at the base of the mountain next to a lake of some significant size. Oh, and it's surrounded by a cherry tree grove.
The main dojo (central meeting place of the ninja, sort of their capital) is I believe on the top of the mountain.

Although I suppose she could well have retained the title, just for show (I reckon she had a different title than the current monarch of Dunburrow even if she ruled the same area, because kingdoms and their names tend to change a lot over the time; she might well have been officially called Queen Kienne of the Blessed Lands of Dunburrowshire or something equally longwinded. In which case keeping the title wouldn't be a political issue.) Or maybe it's like with ol' George Dubya: still holds the title of President, he's just not the President of the United States. ...in either case there was probably some decidedly diplomatical solution so that nobody would have to go and tell Kienne 'yeah, um, so you're not a Queen any more'.

*raises hand* Are the roleplay characters humans or Neopets? Your persona can be anything you want it to be. ^^ There are humans, humans with certain animal parts, anthro characters... anything goes.

Okay, cool. So let me make sure I have this straight. All the guilds exist in one large land, the NTWF. Each guild has their own little area, but they aren't restricted to that area. Tabloid Town is somewhere in the middle of the land, I think. Does any guild own Tabloid Town?

[glow=red,2,300]All guilds have a foot in Tabloid Town, as it is the NTWF's biggest city. I imagine the mages, mercs, etc. all do some sort of buisness there, but no one can own Tabloid Town any more than anyone can own the termite nest under the house. XD
Actually, what is TT's government? It's not the same as actual Tabloid continuity, so Stally isn't dictator, right? [/glow]

We should encounter him next guild war.
