AK dived into his garden shed and came out with his favorite weapons for this situation; his crates of Napalm-in-a-Can. Grabbing ten cans and shoving them into his pockets, he started running as fast as he could to Neopia Central, but he ran into the rear command of the gnomes about three blocks from the Bazaar. Diving behind a crumbling wall before he was noticed, his mind raced furiously. There were far too many gnomes out there to take on with two NIAC's at once. NIAC's are crowd control, not blasting weapons. Blasting weapons! Digging through his pockets, AK pulled out a jewel; one of the Improved Fire Bombs Sabreur had given him so long ago. Jumping out from behind his shelter, he threw the bomb and screamed "PLAY BALL!" As he jumped behind the wall again, the bomb sailed through the air like a meteor. Then came the blast. The force of it knocked AK off his feet, even when protected by the wall. Geez, he thought, I'd forgotten how powerful those things are! After it stopped, AK peered over the wall. Gnome fragments lay all over the area. AK knew Neopia Central's Bazaar and Plaza would be dangerous, so he took his time getting prepared. He loaded up the N00bZapper1000 with 9mm bullets, crossbow bolts, and rockets (it has three projectile launching systems: barrel, bow, and launcher), strapped it on his back, and stuffed the rest of the IFBs he was carrying into his pack with the NIACs and his Pocket Lab Ray. Jamming the Report Pistols into his belt, strapping a Report Rifle on his back, stuffing his pockets with ammo and carrying all kinds of ammo belts, AK was loaded with weaponry; and he could run fast in it too. He set off toward the Bazaar, with the Sand Wedge of Doom out and ready. Its unmarrable head gleamed in the bright sun of a Sunday afternoon. At his side, the sword known as Eltonbrand, now freshly sharpened, clinked in its sheath. Any other day he would have carried much less armament and not looked so weird. But this was not a normal day, after all.

(sorry to double post) (deja vu) Arriving in the city, AK dodged into the bookstore, where he untied his employer and climbed the ladder to the storage room. There were about ten gnomes there, preparing to torch the entire bookstore's stock! AK didn't give 'em the chance. He smashed them all with one sweep of the Sand Wedge and headed for the ladder that led to the roof.

Chris grins, He un sheaths his giant sword. It flared turning into a spiral of red and blue flame. He let out a battle cry and charged down the hill smashing the gnomes as he runs down.

From the top of the bookstore, AK looked out to sea. He was stunned to see a blast from an Auto Targeting Cannon sear through the thin clouds. "That's Tahu's cannon!" he yelled. Getting the others up on his two-way Virtupets brand radio, he nearly shouted into it out of anxiety. "The gnomes must have stolen the ferry to Mystery Island, 'cause Tahu's cannon just went off randomly into the sky! We gotta get to the Island! Listen, meet me at the ferry pier." He snapped it shut, and began bounding across the rooftops, heading north, to Neopia Central Harbor.

AK stopped ten feet from the brick docksides of the Harbor. He ducked behind a tree and peeked out. There was a large group of gnomes holding the dockside workers and skippers of the small sailboats in the harbor. Silently he grabbed an IFB by the firing pin, and pulled out his old wand. "Pellucidia Tralucentus," he hissed. The bomb vanished. Jerking his finger backwards, he thus yanked out the firing pin. Then he rolled it in the direction of the gnomes, ducked behind a storage shed, and covered his ears.

Chris looks up as he slashes another batch of gnomes. He sees AK. "Hey wait up!" He kicks a gnome off and jumos on to a nearby roof following .

"I wonder if we're the only ones still uncaptured..." AK murmured distantly. Snapping out of it, he turned to Chris. "The wind is right, so we should take THAT boat..." he pointed to a gleaming white boat "and it won't take too long. Tahu's the only person who might know anything about this gnome invasion."

Chris gives a slight nod. Pretty much saying. "Lead the way."

Two hours later, AK stepped shakily onto the shores of Mystery Island, turned, but when he tried to tell Chris to come on, he promptly threw up all over the foredeck due to the sudden motion of turning around. "GAH! What happened? The boat was rocking back and forth the whole trip! It seemed like there was a..." Chris had barely jumped to shore when the boat drifted out to sea on a rip current. Before either of them could say a thing, there was a violent sound of wood splintering to bits, so loud that they could hear it at five hundred yards, and the boat promptly sank as if someone had been holding it by the mast and dropped it. AK was still standing there with his jaw dropped. "... hole in the bottom..." Without warning, a swarm of Fishing Jetsam Gnomes stuck their heads out of the water and laughed. AK was just about to swim out there and take on all fifteen with his bare hands, but he thought against it. Turning to Chris, he pulled out a copy of an NTWF NeoHomes address discussion of his and read it. "Now, where's Tahu? doo de doo... ah, here it is." He stared. "God, this stinks. 76731 Training Square. Dang, that's right in the middle of the island! Heck, that address..." -he whipped out a Virtupets Address Locator and punched in the data- "... is on the highest foothill of Techo Mountain! And there are gnomes every where... hmm... we need a plan. And some junky ammo..."

(Buut Tahu DOES live there... and it makes sense that Training Square would be towards the center of the island, you know.)
AK grinned. "Hoo yeah. Me like smashy..." He shook his head, regaining his focus. "Sorry, zoned out. Now, I think we should head to the Tiki Tack Shop. Lotta lotta junk there."

((Right, Sorry I've been gone so long.))
Wizardgirl noticed the mad chaos around her as they all went into a full attack mode, trying to reach the locked up citizens. Robin is right behind her with her zafara armor on. Wiz randomly destroyes the garden gnomes who barricaded the entrance to where the neopians were being held.
Suddenly Wiz glanced at the war around her. Gnomes were everywhere, they seemed to multiply constantly. For every gnome she destroyed two more came to replace it.
"I'm going to need help on this." She muttered and Robin nodded. They went and fetched everyone they could, including Chris and AK. Together they used their weapons to break down the barricade. "Lets get the Neopians." Wiz yelled and ran inside.

"Wierd," AK said, looking around the area behind the barricade. "Whatever happened to the rest of the people? I distinctly remember this area being jam-packed with shoppers this morning. And what on earth is going on here?" Suddenly a beam of light splintered a nearby window and struck AK in the chest, doubling him over. When he straightened up, he felt a little stiff. He drew his Sand Wedge, but then he noticed something was very, very wrong. His hands held the Sand Wedge as if they were glued to it, and his limbs froze in a defensive stance. A look of horror appeared on his face as he realized he was shrinking. But before he could react, he turned into- solid porcelain. A Hunting Grarrl Gnome stuck its head up from the broken windowsill. "Excellent." At his command, a group of Kacheek Gnomes trundled out and hauled the shrunken statue inside, gently setting it with a group of others. the Grarrl Gnome walked up. "Inventory?" A Green Poogle Gnome holding a clipboard turned around. "We have: 1 Shocked AK-17 Gnome (which took longer than most others to form), 1 Battling Tahu Gnome, and 1 Dazed Chris Gnome. The Grarrl nodded. "And what else do we need?" The Poogle quickly scanned the lists. "We need: 1 Stephanie Gnome 1 Keng Gnome 1 Ice Gnome 1 Griff Gnome 1 Lunelupe Gnome 1 ShereKong Gnome 1 Lemmy Gnome 1 Wizardgirl Gnome 1 Robin Gnome After we have these, we can begin phase two of the operations." The Grarrl turned to a Curious Blumaroo Gnome, who nodded and tied the slip of paper, on which he had been scribbling the whole conversation, to the butterfly that should have been on his finger. It zoomed off faster than the eye could follow, obviously relaying that report to- to whomever the one behind all this was. *** Aw, futz, AK thought. They've turned me into a friggin' GARDEN GNOME! If there ever has been a worse thing- besides a n00b or something edible or some other breakable thing- to turn into I don't know what it is! He actually rattled back and forth a little, he was so furious. I used to be fighting these things, now I'm one of them! Only I can't talk or move or eat or sleep or anything! I'M AN ITEM ON A FRIGGIN' GARDEN GNOME'S SUPPLY LIST! Suddenly, a group of bewitched statues brought AK, Chris, and Tahu out into the courtyard behind the ware house. There was a stake sticking out of a pile of firewood. AK's expression matched the situation perfectly. They were going to be burned. His only thought to describe the situation was MAN, that's ironic.(If Tahu comes back, sorry for god-moding you into here. It's a bad habit. Get out of the situation if you want, it doesn't matter to me. And please dooon't leeeave, Chris!)

Wiz was getting tired. Her arms were turning numb from holding her blaster. Yet after all her work it seemed that she hadn't done anything.
Robin suddenly spoke up from her side. "Hey, where is everyone? There was a bunch of people held prisoner near here. And...where's AK?" She asked. Wizardgirl looked around, Robin was right.
"I don't know, lets look for AK and then plan some more."
They searched the area, shooting any gnome in sight.
Then Wiz came upon the first helpless gnome she had seen. It looked...shocked almost. And...strangely familliar. Yet how? She aimed her gun, the gnome seemed to twitch for a moment, but didn't look at her.
"Stupid gnome." Wiz muttered under her breath.
The gnome must have heard her, for it turned around and opened its mouth as Wiz began to pull the trigger. Then, she heard a small squeak. "Don't shoot! Its me!" It said. She looked at it curiously. She looked at Robin, she shrugged. Slowly, Wiz approached the gnome.
"Do I know you?" She asked slowly. It was a gnome, she didn't know any gnomes.
"Its me! They turned me into a gnome!" It squeaked. Wiz gasped, it was AK. "So THAT'S what happened to all the people! How ironic! They're going to turn us all into gnomes!" She exclaimed. Ak litterally jumped up and down in his porcelain body. "They're coming!" He squeaked. Immediatly Wiz and Robin ducked and watched as some gnomes approached the AK gnome and began to mutter something, Wiz couldn't hear. Then, she watched in horror as one of the gnomes took AK and a few other once-human gnomes. They brought them and placed them in front of a pile of sticks.
Wiz realized it at the same time as AK. "They're going to burn them all!" Wiz cried quietly. Robin looked at her, "We must rescue him!" She said.
"We'll have to think of a way. Whatever turned AK into a gnome may do the same thing to us. There must be a way...there must be..."
((Ah, Chris, its ok. Please come back!))
