Rouge Members... Just a idea... But this could be about some kind of bad event happening where no one guild can truly get rid of it. However the guilds are downright banning the work with the other guilds for some reason (hatred, feeling of being weaker than another guild, egos, etc). So with no one allowed to really try and stop this problem, small groups of the guilds run away to stop this problem. In the process running into the other guilds and helping each other, and getting over some of their problems in some cliche fashion Anyways, that's the idea that ran into my head when I heard Rouge Members... That or we are on some kind of man hunt for rouge members. Like they join forces to destroy the guilds or something, and there are only a small handful but their troublesome.

Sounds like a plan.
Hm. Something that the main guilds don't think is worth their time (or don't want to deal with for whatever reason)... so it takes members acting independently to deal with the problem.
Should probably be something sneaky and not outright believable... but something that on a very local level people would have noticed. Who's hanging out in the taverns and listening to the word on the street? That's who notices the problem and chooses to deal with it.
Ideas for plot:
1. Local crime lord is expanding influence. Doesn't seem like a major problem... except he's about to finish the design for a new type of weapon that will really up his power. Either it gets dealt with now by independents, or it gets dealt with later - at a much higher difficulty - by the guilds proper.
2. Cultists are hanging around a local graveyard, this being a new development. Guilds don't take it seriously because nothing is happening aside from their gatherings... but as it happens they're actually going to manage to summon some really nasty should-be-left-dead things, and if they do, life in Tabloid Town is about to become even more interesting than usual.
3. A strange metal device was unearthed by some miners in a nearby mine. The miners have taken possession of it and aren't willing to let anyone go near it. Word in the taverns is that they're acting very paranoid, much different than they usually do, and that the device started humming shortly after the miners unearthed it. The guilds don't know about this, and might not be impressed if they did... but... it turns out that this is actually a summoning beacon for something from far, far away, and the NTWF *REALLY* doesn't want the signal to remain active for long.
Okay, how about one of those? Further, maybe we're at the point where we should just start with something and see who joins in?
I'd be willing to ST (be the storyteller) for this one, or we can do it on a "backed NPC" system (diff NPCs are handled by specific members). What do you think?

Not to question your roleplaying skills, but I honestly think we should just let the roleplay flow by its own. By saying that, I mean we give the freedom of the plot to the participants instead of having a storyteller that might forcefully move characters without him knowing.
I have my own ideas for plots as well:
4. Recent changes had brought the guilds closer to each other, causing discomfort and unrest between them. There have been talks about the liquification of the guilds to merge them into one organization led by a mysterious stranger. Such rumors were enough for some members to investigate.
5. Some of the gem people from GW2 have started disappearing in an alarming rate, leaving clues that point to the guild leaders. The remaining gem people start to blame them for "cleansing" their group, forcing some people to protect their respective guilds while looking out for the sudden disappearances.
6. The guild leaders were invited to a meeting by a certain "Diordna" and were never seen for quite awhile. The guild members smell some fishy business, and sent out some of its members to find their leaders.

Yeah, I prefer when a RP has a main story idea, and everyone in it bring out the story, twists, etc. At least that's how I do my RPs. Gem People? Hmm, really wish I've been around for those wars... I like the idea of that story though

Gem People? Hmm, really wish I've been around for those wars... Basically, there was this magical gem which an alchemist named Leraye trapped an army of guilds from a thousand years ago in. Then in GW2, Sev incinerated said gem, releasing the army and causing chaos for a while. By the end of GW2, we worked out some kind of agreement, and now the ancient guilds are sort of taking their respective places in the new world. Some of them joined into the new guilds, and I think some of them sorta reformed their old ones...? I'm not clear on the details there. XD; *cough* Anyways. I dunno if I'm particularly fond of the rogue members idea, if just because I'm not sure PFA the character is quite independent enough to do that sort of thing...

I might've used the wrong term to describe the potential participants, then. I'm talking more of people from different guilds acting more on their own rather than for their respective guilds (though their intentions might ultimately benefit for them in the long run). That being said, I do look forward to having a variety of characters to interact with. Admittedly, GW2 had forced me to act within my own characters, and though it's partially because of the conditions of my characters (Bluisa had to stick with Cat Assassin most of the time, and the cat himself had to keep a close eye on PFA), I just felt it necessary to keep myself out of that state for awhile. </rant>

It would be kind of funny to run into your own character from another guild For me it would be weird since both my Ninja and Knight go by the name Draco (even if my Knight has a real name, his nickname is still Draco). Anyways... I would still join in with just about any of the ideas

My main concern has to do with if the RP stalls, like Redemption did after a few months. Someone ought to feel like they can jumpstart things as needed - I think technically in Redemption Rider was there for that, and she did indeed act as a ST.
That being said, I guess it can be dealt with when the time comes, if it does.

Yeah, I know that's what you meant. XDDD; I was just saying I'm not sure PFA's independent enough to moreorless rebel against the guild, even if it is ultimately for the good of it. She's sorta a Lawful Good ninja, y'see. I suppose I could work something out though, if we end up going with that idea. *shrug* Leraye. By chance is that pronounced like Larry? Because if it is, I find that funny If not, *shrugs* I guess it's not that funny Luh-ray, IIRC. Which is kinda like Larry, I suppose. XD I was thinking. It would be kind of funny to run into your own character from another guild Running into your character from another guild is always fun. I remember intentionally trying to keep PFA and Jernath on opposing sides in GW2, 'cause having them clash was a lot of fun. Hehe.

Well, Vyt's more of a Chaotic ninja. Not telling what affliction he has for the other one.

Anyway, the clock is ticking. All we have decided is that we'll have an open RP with unrestricted members, but the starting plot must be decided eventually. I'm going to force myself to make the thread two days after this post, so we'd better decide on what plot we should go for.
That being said, I am aware of the whole "not planning out the entire plot" thing, so people don't have to remind me of it.

Well, for sure you can count on me joining, with my own army of characters. XD Esme, Rose, Cyborg, and Midknight atleast.
Which reminds me, does anyone oppose to me joining the ninjas? If so, than I'll delete that post on the HQ.
