Okay, so it looks like we have a nice list of who is still staying and those who have left. Upon saying that, we still aren't any close to coming up with new ideas for the new RP (with the exception of going forwards in time a few years). We still need to figure that out. Any ideas? Once again, I still have my random idea dump we could pull ideas from, and I'm still kinda fond of the virus idea at the very least. XD;

That might be helpful for introducing a medic to the Mercs.

That might be helpful for introducing a medic to the Mercs.Rose is the medic. She has been since GW2. I would say the virus, or the mercenaries are in great danger because _____ is trying to hunt them down one by one, so they must reform the mercenaries and stop the attacks themselves. Just my suggestion.

I like the idea that someone, or perhaps a whole group, is trying to eliminate the guild? :3 Like Cyborg's idea. Lots of attempts on lifes, the team has to get back together, work out who's attacking them and why and how to stop them.

Excellent. =D This is exactly what we need. I agree with the idea of the mercs being killed off, so what we have so far is that the mercs have disbanded, are now being hunted down and need to regroup for strength.
The question now is: is this a former adversary (e.g. from the last RPs, or from some merc's history) or is this a "new" character/group? If it's "new" then we can always make up a backstory for the merc guild and the enemy that wasn't actually RPed, of course.

The question is 'why now?' Why would the enemy only start hunting them after a couple years of disbandment? Is there some secret the Mercs know that the enemy wants to get rid of, or is the enemy just hunting down anyone with enough martial skill to oppose it? Or both, I suppose.

Depends on what the Mercs did in the past, I guess. Something like 'they were contacted for a job, failed, and that made them split up- it was a job of such magnitude that they pose a risk'. As for hunting them, perhaps they all keep tabs on each other, but nobody else has any idea where they are... until one of the Mercs sells out the others, or contacts the enemy (perhaps to blackmail money out of him) and provides him/her the opportunity to get the information he/she needs to get them. o__o I think I've watched too much TV. There's all sorts of different reasons why there might be a delay in the retribution, all sorts of different jobs the mercs could have taken. :3

XD Well what if it was more of a group of people, some news some old characters perhaps. And the reason I don't have a clue yet.

:3 I think the only reason PFA's hesitant to do the whole in-the-future thing is that PFA had a story idea for Jerny that would likely take place between these two mentioned points... a story that's likely to make a fairly noticeable change in his character. So it'd be kinda weird to PFA if she started RPing the post-story Jernath before even starting the story itself. But, ya know, I don't wanna ruin your guyses fun.
...Thinking of said story idea, maybe whoever is hunting down the mercs needed the proper time to track down the mercs after they split up? You know, 'cause we're all elusive and stuff. Which is kinda a boring plothole fixer, but it'd work.
EDIT: And I'd likely vote for 'new' enemy, since that'd be easier to link to all the mercs than any 'past' enemy would... considering that the only enemy that ever showed up in our RPs so far was, like, Takehiko... and he connects more to Fenrix than anyone else, so. XD;

So long as I don't end up coming up with/and playing said bad guy, I don't care what we do. ^_^ No seriously. I'm fresh out of bad guys. But a new bad guys sounds like it/he/she could be interesting.

Whoever the bad guy is, we should all play him. Most of you are in the Knights, so you know where I'm getting this from. It's a good idea. So long as I don't end up being the only one to control the bad guy(s), I don't really care. So yeah.

Maybe we could have a counter guild-type bad guy? Kinda like the justice league and the Lex Luthor knock off? That way there could be a few different bad guys. Maybe one from a each of the merc's past? We don't have to have all of the mercs pasts jumping on them, but a few people from from like Hades's starfleet, Elycien's Thirecat backround, stuff like that? That way, anyone who wants to play a bad guy can...Just a thought.

Just pull a 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend' crap, or whatever. ^__^ I will not be bringing back Takehiko though. In fact I don't plan on bringing any villians into the roleplay unless necessary. Time for the children to grow up and bring in their own toys. No offense meant. It's a metaphor. *likes snarky metaphors*
