Okay, as the RP is currently dead as a doornail, this is a good time to get something started, yes? ^^
First of all, we need to think of a good, solid plot for a brand-new, shiny RP... ideally something that could hold our attention for a while. Since the latest one has died so miserably, Fenrix, Arista and I think it would be best to scrap it and move on. Feel free to argue but really, I doubt anyone has much attachment to it. xD;
Secondly, this is also a good time to bring up any ideas for expanding the guild - if you're not a RPer but would love to have some other activities for the mercs, this is your time. With the RP going on, I don't think I personally would have any time to run any additional activities, but if anyone wants to step up, please go ahead!
Also: by posting on this thread, you are basically telling us that you plan on being active either for the new RP or in planning additional activities. Please don't post if you aren't an active Merc Guild member. We're trying to compile a list of who all is actually still here, so yeah. xD;;

Um... I'm still here. I think. I've kind of proven myself horrible at staying active, but I definitely have the free time for it, and I'd really like to try again, so... um.
I don't really have any ideas, sadly; I'm not really an idea kind of person. Sorry.

Well, I'm new but I will be active... Does that count? XD As for the plot... I'm not sure what normally goes on in a Merc RP, so don't mind me.
As for activities, we are mercenaries-
*ahem* We? We are Mercenaries, so shouldn't we have other forumers hiring us, seeing as that is the only thing truly defined about a merc?

I'm still in! Activities....I say we use a mini rp style job system. For like groups of 3-5, and then have a main rp for everyone.

You could do mini-roleplays with two people, honestly. And yes, I'm here. Lurking as usual, but ready to do a roleplay once we all like an idea.

I have discussed this idea with Fenrix and we were thinking, for the next roleplay, would anyone like it to be a few years into the future (about 3-5 years)? So, if you want to upgrade your characters or anything like that, you can. The idea is that the Mercenaries have disbanded for some reason and have gone their seperate ways for a few years. The roleplay starts when they are getting back together. What do you all think?

Yepyep, Jerny is still a merc and PFA still plans for him to be an active one.  Ideas... well, RP-wise, I can bring back my random ideas from before we started the one that's now dead. XD Alright... ideas. Um... someone offers the mercs a job, but it's actually a trap of some sort (for example, we could go off Arista's idea and say it's a haunted house). The mercs get overloaded with jobs and have to decide which ones take priority. The mercs are getting no jobs and have to start looking for ways to make money. Someone threatens to blow up the HQ. The mercs have to go out and do some job (one of the previously listed ones perhaps), but have to be wary of a nasty virus that's going around. Yeah, I'm just throwing out random ideas here. XD; Anyone's free to build off of any of them if any of them sound interesting enough. I still want to have some kind of hire-a-merc thing so, say, when in some guild RP the guildspeople decide they need some assistance of the mercenary kind, they can post in some thread in the guild board and request a merc to get them out of their sticky spot. That one might need some discussing with the other guilds, but I think it would be a lot of fun. And Arista... hmm, sounds like an interesting idea, but I personally hadn't pictured the merc disbanding after five years. XD; I'd certainly go along with it if there's enough support for the idea, though. :3 |

Sorry to see you leave, Vyt, we'll miss you. If we do the guild-disbanding-and-rebanding thing, then as Bacon said we'll have to work out a rough history of what happened during the timeskip, so we can have continuity. Though of course I'd imagine that after the split we'd be able to pretty much make stuff up without consulting other people, unless your character kept in contact with someone else's or sommat like that. (Yeah, I'm still here. Lurking. Ahahaha don't worry, I'm always watching you >D) |

:3 I joined mercenaries way back and then didn't really do anything with it. If there was an RP with a jump forwards I'd like to join in- I don't think I could catch up with a current one, but I've not RPed in ages and fancy it.
I'll need to update my forum persona. o__o I've not done that in forever.

Okay, so it looks like we have a nice list of who is still staying and those who have left. Upon saying that, we still aren't any close to coming up with new ideas for the new RP (with the exception of going forwards in time a few years). We still need to figure that out. Any ideas?
