On a whim, I decided to design the layout of the Mercenary base, which I've always imagined as a lonely bunker in the middle of a grassy field surrounded by a copse of trees.
Thing is, that's just my interpretation and while I'm the mod sponsor and all (I stole it back from Hunty), I'm only charging rent. That means you guys, the renters, have free reign over renovations and such (should've put that in the contract).
So what do you think the bunker should look like? Based on previous roleplays, most of the bunker seems to be above ground. In my interpretation it's mostly below ground with tunnels linking the various functional 'modules' or rooms that keep the base running smoothly. Kinda like an abandoned nuclear bunker (Thundy would be so proud xD)
Opinions and brickbats?

It's pretty much set that the HQ is in or at the edge of a forest. Other than that, we haven't really decided much.

I always pictured it as a one story house-like place with rafters in the living room and a bunch of rooms in the back part of the bunker. And it has a large kitchen. ^_^ But that's just how I pictured it.

And a bathroom, and training area. I thought it was a medium to large sized building with like Scar said had an underground tunnel system or underground rooms.

There's some sort of shooting range that I've always imagined as being in the Mercs' "backyard", a sort of mostly empty field with a few trees and fixed targets, on the opposite side of the HQ as the forest.
I always imagined the "living room" of the HQ as being a sort of rundown gaming room, with a couple old sofas, a rarely used pingpong table, a weightlifting set, and a few other miscellaneous items of similar nature.

>_> You know how when PFA reads/writes something (more with the latter than the former), a vague layout of the area the characters are in gets formed in her head? Well, now you do. And so is the case with all the RPing she's ever done in the Mercenary HQ. Of course, that's just what I've imagined the layout is like. >_> Not that I'm that good at drawing layouts, but anyway... Feel free to stab at it with a rusty spork if you don't like it. Oh, and I didn't do the downstairs because I haven't RPed downstairs, except for maybe a passing reference once or twice. I imagine there's probably personal quarters down there. If not for sleeping in, at least for storing weapons and stuff in. <_< Aanndd it probably has some of the stuff you guys have mentioned. Like bathrooms. Yup. And yeah, I've always imagined the living room as something like what Bacon described.

Yeah, there definitely is some extensive underground stuff... as well as a training ground, and being on the edge of some trees. But what you all forgot is that I think it's supposed to be in the mountains as well. ^_^ Beyond that, yeah... I especially like Scar's idea of the underground network <3 Stuff like that is so cool and I don't think any other guild has it. >)

Hey, Scar's the landlord, he could remodel or move the HQ however or wherever he wants. ;D I beg to differ. I would love to hear everyone's input in this. I'm only one person after all and I'm sure everyone has their own ideas on the guild ^_^ Just ask yourself, "What would look cool in an underground Merc base?" :3

An underground cat club. We have so many felines and part felines in the merc.

I was thinking sort of the same as Arista, except with a basement.
