Welcome to the Official Spacefleet Combat Simulation Room! If you want to train your roleplaying skills, warm up for another RP, or simply want to show off your crazy weapons and battle moves, this is the place to do it. When you enter the simulation room, you will be teleported to the middle of a 'fake' battlefield on the surface of the moon. On this battlefield, there are special holographic robots that you can fight in order to practice your moves. Because the robots are simply video projections, they look, think and act however you want them to. SCOREBOARD __________________________________

[/move]

Here is a list of rules for roleplaying in this thread: - The robot enemies can be as generic or as complex as you want them to be. If you don't want to spend time writing about their descriptions, just refer to them as 'robots' and use them as metal punching bags. ^_^
- The robots can have any attack you wish. They could punch, fire lasers, throw grenades, do karate, hit you with exploding pies, sweet-talk you into dropping your weapons, and so on.
- Try to be accurate with the number of robots you are fighting, and the number of robots you kill. It makes it easier for when I update the scoreboard. xD
- Unless you're working in a team, the robots you are fighting may never attack other people. They are only capable of fighting you. You are still allowed to interact with other people of course. =)
- You cannot attack someone else's robot unless you are working in a team. To work in a team, just ask someone else in the roleplay if you can team up with them. =3
- Keep the roleplay inside the simulation room. You are not allowed to write about something that happens outside the simulation room. Of course, you can still talk to people inside the simulation room about outside events.
- Members of the Research and Support classes are discouraged from fighting. You can if you want to, but don't blame me if you're late for your shift. ^_~

There was a flash of light, and Strife was beamed down onto the surface of a moon.
Within seconds, however, a group of 20 robots were closing in on him from the distance, surrounding him on all sides. They were shaped like tin cans, and they rolled along the ground on tank-like wheels.
Strife spun around, his cape twirling in the air. He gazed at the robots closing in around him, and sighed. "There seems to be no sign of intelligent life anywhere..." he said mockingly.
One of the robots fired a green laser beam at him. He immediately ducked, pointed his Leech weapon at the robot, and fired a ball of light. The light made contact with the robot's face and soaked into its body, causing it to glow white for a moment. Strife had stolen the robot's attack, and his weapon could now fire the same green lasers.
Without hesitating, Strife dashed around to avoid the rest of the laser beams flying in his direction, and he returned fire, causing them to explode one by one.
He stopped for a moment, let out a deep laugh, and looked around him. All of his targets were destroyed.
In the distance, he spotted more robots moving around in different directions. Apparently, he wasn't the only person fighting here...

"Are you ready for this?" Clint asked Bacon as they beamed down. "Ninja-bots: My personal pre-programmed specs for maximum toughness."
Bacon nodded slightly as he twirled his katana. He peered into the darkness, seeing nothing except for Strife, who was fighting robots in the distance.
Suddenly, a human-like metal arm grabbed Clint in a fore-arm choke. The commando flipped the robot over his back, but it kept hold of him, standing upright again in front of the human target. Clint grabbed his x-957 by the barrel, and clubbed the back of the robot's neck with the armored firing chamber. The robot released its grip, falling prone on his stomach. Clint tossed his gun in the air, catching it with his finger on the trigger. He shot the paralyzed robot through the back. "That's mine, now's yours."
Bacon saw a glint of light above him. He looked up, and brought his blade up to parry a metal arm of a humanoid robot. The robot landed on its feet, holding its right arm up like a sword. Bacon slashed the sword to his left, which the robot blocked wider than a true swordsman would have. With the entire torso now wide-open, Bacon turned the blade slightly, and stabbed the robot through its central wiring control system.

Strife glanced into the distance for a moment and noticed Bacon and Cliff battling some tough-looking robots. "Hmph," he said to himself, and turned around to face the next wave of metal monsters.
In front of him, he spotted five robots. They looked almost identical to the ones he just destroyed, but instead of wheels, they had rocket boosters and were floating in the air. They immediately began to fire lasers in his direction.
Strife quickly sidestepped to avoid getting toasted. He fired a series of lasers at one of the robots - his first shot missed slightly, but the rest of them pierced the robot's stomach, causing it to burst into flames. It fell to the cold surface of the moon in a heap of scrap metal. The other four robots clustered together and started to float towards him.
"Let's try something new..." muttered Strife under his teeth. He stretched both of his arms out in front of him, the palms of his hands facing the stars above. He lowered his head slightly and focused hard.
Suddenly, the ground in front of him began to glow faintly, and he felt a vibration in his feet. He focused harder. His fingers curled, his hands started to shake, and his shoulders stiffened. The vibration underneath him began to get harder, and it felt like a small earthquake.
Then, he swinged his hands towards the sky and over his shoulders. As he did so, a boulder shot out of the ground in front of him and soared through the air. It slammed hard into the four robots, knocking them to the ground like a set of pins at a bowling alley.
It worked, he thought to himself. With his mind, he had lifted a chunk of the ground and used it as a projectile. His earth magic was improving.

A new beam of light revealed two new joiners to the battle field. Keng was accompanied by the elf Urchin. Keng herself had apparently ceased to wear her old pirate clothes from her old life and now sported something more fitting for a Marine, but customized for comfortable transition from human to wolf and back.
"Ok Urchin, what do you want to fight? Monster bots? Infantry? Hmmm... I wonder if any of the bots can simulate magic. I could use some practice against mages and the like."

((Uh, Strife? It's Clint, not Cliff.))
Hearing the distinctive sound of new targets appearing, Bacon turned, ready for anything. Except for this.
Two humanoid robots were standing there, designed similarly to the one he just stabbed through the "heart", except these two new ones appeared to be dancing drunkenly, mumbling a sea chanty incredibly out of tune. One raised an appendage shaped like a human arm holding a bottle of rum, pantomiming drinking it, while the other broke out in hysterical laughter, falling over and trying to stand back up, eventually dragging the other down with it.
Clint shrugged, "Okay, so my Pirate-bots weren't as well designed as my Ninja bots. Mostly they just get drunk." The two robots mimed attempting to steer a giant ship while still not sober. "Aha!" Clint declared, "We got 'em on a DUI now!" He raced over to the two, and together they all mimed Clint putting hand restraints on them and locking them in his patrol car/boat/starfighter thing.
(Sorry, all you Pirates/Spacefleeters. I just had to do it.)

((Ah, sorry about that Bacon. ^^;
Keng, it is possible for the robots to cast spells, but since the magic is produced by programming rather than a real person's mind, they don't have as strong an effect as the real thing. ^_~))

To Keng "I need some practis with magic, hand to hand combat, and my dagger. So anything along those lines is good with me."

((thanks Strife ^_^))
"Alright, magic wielding bots it is then!" declared Keng. No sooner than she'd said it, an odd looking bot dropped out of nowhere in front of them. It didn't wait for them to be ready, instead, like any true mage, it began powerplaying and abusing it's powers. (It's kinda hard not to when you can control magic and all the elements and such.) For it's first move it errected a flame shield around it the sent a wall of fire hurtling along the ground towards where keng and urchin stood. Keng, already sure this was quite an unfair match for her, dove left to avoid the attack and rolled back onto her feet.

Taking a few steps to the right so as not to be hit, Urchin began chanting spells. In one hand there was a ball of water, in the other hand there was a ball of pretty yellow, blue, and red lights. She sent the water at the robot first, and then the pretty lights soon after. The water evaporated when it hit the fire shield, but it fogged up the robot's vision, the light ball managed to make it past the fire shield and neutralized the robot's left leg. So the robot began hopping on one foot while casting spells.

Keng wasn't sure what to think of the robot as it hopped up and down on one foot looking rather silly. She was however quite sure about what she thought of it's spells: that she should get out of the way of them. A ball of fire whizzed by her head. The fire shield was still going as strong as ever despite the water, though it had fizzed out shortly before reigniting. "Urchin! More water! Douse it's shield so I can get in close." with that she began closing the ground between her and the metal magic monster ((an MMM! *bricked*)) in assumption that Urchin would have the shield down in any moment.
