Keng grinned humbley as her stomach gave another complaint. "Aye, care to join me?" she offered. "I've heard they've got some decent food there. Though I'm not sure by what standard 'decent' pertains to. Last I checked it's often hit and miss with space food, though I do want to try out the preserved ice cream." Keng was feeling in quite a good mood despite the scanner issues and her long flight, or perhaps it was a result of having gotten off of her rickety long flight. Either way, she was feeling up beat, and if she had her tail on it would probably be wagging. She wondered about asking Zarah about her scent, but the question seemed too strange, personal, and rude, so she held her tongue, with the vague thought of how many times 'thinking better of it' had probably saved her some awkward or regrettable moments that day, determined it to have been quite a few, and decided she would stay away from any alcohol tonight so as not to loose her string of commong sense on her first night aboard the MSS.

Zarah smiles as she strolls alongside Keng, it seems shes decided to allow her step to be heard now.. a strong, confident stride. And yet her arms swing casually at her sides, and her tail flicks too and fro with a happily preoccupied mind of its own.
She nods, "Ive heard the liquor range is quite impressive.. Although perhaps not on an empty stomach. I admit Ive tried the ice cream so take it from me, avoid the Mint Chocolate Chip."
Silent for a while, she spots a few signs directing them towards The Cantina and glances at her companion "do you know anyone else aboard?"

Amneiger saw several signs up ahead and hurried his pace, hoping to find something to confirm he was going the right way. He stopped to read them without bothering to look down a nearby junction and thus didn’t notice the two figures walking up behind him.
“Do you know anyone else aboard?”
Amneiger jumped, looked around, and saw two women coming towards him. One seemed to be an ordinary human, while the other had a pair of wolf ears and a leopard tail. “Oh! Hello,” he said in surprise.
((Edit: In case I've confused anybody, here's an ascii map of how I imagined this:
-------------1----------- 2..............3............5 ---------|.........|------- ...........|.........| ...........|....4...|
1 - Signs 2 - Way to Cantina 3 - Amneiger 4 - Keng and Zarah 5- - Way Amneiger just came down
The - and the | are walls. Ignore the periods, I put them there to make the thing align properly.))

((Busy with this and that, you know.))
Keng was about to respond 'not really' when they were interrupted by a "Oh! Hello!" Turning around Keng spotted the newcomer. " 'Evenin." she replied. She was happy to note that this person did have a scent to him and also made a satisfying thum with each step he took. "Did you need something?" she glanced over him searching for any sign of rank that would indicate the requirement of adressing him as 'Sir', but saw none.

"Oh, not really. Just...saying hello."
In the ensuing silence, Amneiger noticed that the woman, in addition to looking oddly at his clothes, for some reason seemed to have an expression of relief on her face. In an attempt to break the awkwardness, he waved his hand at the sign behind him, which was just an arrow with the words "The Cantina" on it. "...You're going to the Cantina too?"

"Aye. We we're just about to start walking over there." replied Keng, not really noticing the awkwardness of the moment. "Did you want to join us? I'm Keng by the way. New recruit, mercenary right now." she introduced herself. This wasn't a bad start to a first day, she had been worried she'd be awkwardly wandering around with no one to talk to for the first little while. And so far no one had figured out (as far as she knew) that she was a werewolf and gotten all freaked out over it, though she suspected she'd be having a rather interesting talk with a doctor rather soon.

Amneiger was somewhat relieved that Keng talked normally enough. "Sure. I'm Amneiger, robotics research. I arrived just a few hours ago," he said, automatically holding his hand out to shake. He had originally thought that he'd first meet people in the robotics lab, but was glad that he'd met somebody elsewhere. "Who's your friend here?"

Zari rushed in, dropped her papers in a very disorganized way. 'Good God, now I have to reorganize these again!' she groaned. Then she noticed Keng and Amneiger. 'Uh, hi. I'm Zari, from the science department. I'm new, and I got dumped with about 67 pages of jargon. Anyone know where The lab is?'

"What the..." said Amneiger as Zari's papers went all over the floor. He frowned when he heard her ask where the labs were. "Well, it's evening station time, so the labs are probably closed. Keng here and I were just going to get dinner, in fact. We can help you back to the residence areas later, if you want us to." He began to bend down to pick up the papers, but stopped. "I'd help you with these," - he gestured at the pages - "but I'd rather not violate any security restrictions. What department are you from? I'm Amneiger, by the way."

Zari smiled. 'I do Computer sciences, and a bit of chemistry. These aren't restricted, they're instructions on how to get rid of viriuses. Nice to meet you, though. Dinner. Great. Food.' She picked up her papers, and stood up.

Her tail flicks in a playful manner but her eyes glint in a way that seem to measure Amneiger up as something similar to 'appetizer'. At the same time her smile glitters pleasantly. "Im Zarah" she says in the same tones she had used to greet Keng, her voice as calm, smooth and sweet as honey.
She seems to look to the floor a split moment before Zari's paperwork goes flying, as if she knew what was going to happen... then again perhaps not. "Jargon? You ought to read through the Regulations Book for my arena... If you are joining us for dinner, I suggest we get a move on. First come, first serve. And I expect the other new additions to this station are hungry too."

((time to make up for not posting! C: ))
Ice had been wandering around quite lazily on the NTWF for a while. She supposed it was time to visit the Spacefleet. After all, she'd been a member for a few weeks now, and it wouldn't do to be an inactive one. She pulled out the license exam overview from her pocket, and located the Spacefleet HQ. Time to rev up the car. Of course, it was a special car. She patted the sleek, glittering roof before opening the door, and set the mode to 'Flight' while she seated herself. Magic Schoolbus style, she flew off the NTWF, and using a handy GPS, settled into orbit around HQ as she searched for a dock.
Hmm.. I wonder if many people got here on their own, or took a shuttle? At any rate, there didn't seem to be any spots for private docking, but there was a large docking bay that could definitely hold her "car." Wonder if they'll give me any trouble? There wasn't much to do but find out, and she held her breath while parking. No flashing red lights, so she figured she was alright.
A bit of wandering around led her to the registration desk. "A bit late, aren't you?" a man at the desk asked, a funny look on his face. She wasn't sure if it was because she was made of ice, or because she was late. Surely he's seen plenty of odd people come in?
Ice shrugged. "Meh. Any paperwork that I need to get done? And I mean paperwork. I'm not in the mood for holograms. Directions would be helpful too. Quickly, please. I'd like to get unpacked."
Her brisk manner must have surprised the guy, because it took a few seconds for him to react and give her the materials. Or perhaps he was just naturally slow. "Baggage check's thataway," he said, pointing someplace to her right.
Ice gathered the few bags she had brought along - some chemicals, equipment, and a lab coat or two - and dumped it on the scanner. It beeped. "I'm part of the science department" appeared to serve as enough explanation to the bored looking people at the scanners, and she moved on, grabbing a trolley to put her stuff on.
"Let's see... science department is to the left, three doors down or thereabouts. Room number 1170. It had better have a nice view."
She trundled along the hallway, noting the absence of other recruits. Once she found her room, Ice put her thumb on the scanner, and waited as the door slid open. She quickly removed her baggage and pushed the trolley outside the door. Room service can take care of it.
Her room was painted a midnight blue, though it lacked the glitter and sparkle she would have preferred. That could be adjusted later. There was a wide window view of the stars, however - that was nice. She turned away from the window and opened up the box with the lab coats and hung them in the closet. After sitting down on the bare cot, she opened up the forms, which got thrown aside, and then checked out the welcome message. Food.. don't need that right now.. Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster? A little too much Hitchhikers' Guide, hmm? Rest rooms.. down the hall.. Lab.. not in the Residence Sector. Darn it! She'd have to go find it later. For now, it was naptime, and she cursed the lack of bedding. It would have to do.

Zari flicked through the pages and cursed, then clicked her fingers. The pages shuffled themselves continually, then stopped. 'Oh, I forgot. I study magic for scientific reasons. By Jargon, I mean it's in complicated language and I doubt anyone'll understand it.' She looked at the paper, then stuffed it in her satchel.
