You're hired. ^_^ Keep in mind that Spacefleet HQ is not responsible for loss of body parts due to explosive chemicals, acidic compounds, or disagreements between co-scientists.

Because of the new open-guild policy, our ranks must be secured so that we can respond to security breaches and other emergencies. This is going to be a lot tougher for us if we don't have a Commando. Therefore, I have promoted Kengplant to the rank of Commando.
I should also mention that we are lacking in the Support Class, and we'll most likely be needing medics in the future. Members of the Support Class are also needed to fix up certain areas of the space station for guests - our scientists can't do everything around here. xD;

Congrats Commando Keng, even if it is partially due to circumstances! *salutes*
And Strife, you could put the two nurses in the Support Class.
Terissa Cürian and Jennifer Friedman, applying for Support Class. Have experience with medicine, cooking, or a related field- Terissa: I get more experience with medicine every day. Jenny: I was at the top of my class in Med School. ^_^ Seems like I graduated just yesterday. Carry a medkit with you at all times- Terissa: It always helps to be prepared. Jenny: It's like a good luck charm to me. ^_~ Know how to dial Spacefleet's easy-to-remember emergency hotline: 1-727-838-7446-294341170- Terissa: By heart. Jenny: I know it like the back of my hand! *writes down on the back of her hand*

We could also use a new cadet or two. We really only have two people controlling Officer Class personas/characters. Strife and Bacon. Shino's character is still kicking around but he left the NTWF a while ago. We need some more pilots that are dedicated to flying ships or operating vehicles.
Edit: And Omni, I think this rankings list is mostly for characters that are regularly controlled by us. If you intend to make them normal characters for yourself, then I see no problem personally, but if not maybe keep them to the NPC list where you've already posted them. I guess the NPC list is now also doubling as a way to keep track of minor characters.

Ah, alright. Then pretend that just, storyline-wise, that's what they entered when they joined, or something.

If there are no complaints, I would like to resign from Spacefleet. I'm sort of not doing anything, after all. I promise not to reveal any of your plans, or make attempts to find out any of your plans. So saying, I resign.

Ah... sorry to hear that, Shade. If you wish to resign from Spacefleet, we shall respect that, and we know that you won't go around spreading our plans. ^_~
Good luck. =)

I was wondering… when there is a group, and there are two-to-four who are 1st-rank, but in different classes, which class would be considered 'ranking'? I know in medical situations, a doctor basically outranks everybody, and the description of the Officer Class says "they can also command Combat Class members into battle", other that that, it's not really certain.
So basically, which classes have more authority than others, either in various situations or in general? Or is there some other system to determine this?

I think the ranking is that regardless of class, highest ranking of, say, Medical class would have the power to command an Engineer or Marine. Maybe there's a Class hierarchy, and possibly again another hierarchy within Combat and mayhap research, what with the use of different fields over others and all. Say, Another mercenary (Ranking, not guild, noonahs) with more experience may have more authority than Senali, who can't use any offensive weapons at all, apart from nonlethal things like a bit of hand-to-hand (or hand-to-teethclawsandbodyweight) and the correct use of heavy objects. So, a seniority system, right? Whoever's served for the most amount of time has authority. Of course, that would require everybody comparing their service records and there may not be time for that if they're being shot at.

Commando: You don't have the authority to make that decision, Doctor. Doctor: Why not? Who has the authority? Officer: Give me a few minutes. I'll check the service records... *another explosion knocks everyone into the sky* Sorry. xD Anyway, here's how I imagine the overall hierarchy of power when it comes to every class, in order from strongest to weakest: Officer - Commander Officer - Subcommander Support - Doctor Research - Professor Combat - Commando Officer - Cadet Combat - Marine Research - Engineer Research - Scientist Support - Nurse Support - Medic Combat - Merc Support - Chef Support - Frycook Does it seem realistic? ^^

*checks everyone's rank* Hey, sweet! I have seniority over all the active members except Amneiger and Zari.
I think the hierarchy system should be editted into the first post of this topic for easy access.

(I wouldn't have guessed that Bacon would be higher rank than Ethan. XD) Seems reasonable.

And, erm, Special Ops? Strife once said in the GW2 RP that Fraze would outrank the marines in combat situations, but I don't know if that was just for the purposes of that moment in the RP or not.
