For the most part, yeah, just get rid of them...
A thread for important announcements might be good, but I really can't think why we'd need so many.
But I just had another idea!
We can also have one thread to give profiles of our RP characters. We can include visual description, description of our rooms, our RPing name and title, what color knight we are, age in the RP, a bit of backstory and history as well, etc.
That would be both fun and helpful!

I like Wolfs idea.
If we're going to use the current thread for all the roleplaying, you should re-name it.

I like Wolfs idea. If we're going to use the current thread for all the roleplaying, you should re-name it. I don't know how usual role-playing works, but I figured the intro would be everything up to the ceremony and the ceremony as well, then we'd start a new one with a synopsis of everything prior...

Neat. We're a prologue. I think you mentioned before that the threads could be used for location-specific events, and I could see that working. However, if we're going to be having one continuous roleplay without restrictions on the locations we visit, I guess getting rid of them, for now at least, would be logical. ...Er, of course, it might be helpful to compile all the descriptions you made of the castle and its grounds into one post before you delete them. They've been... helpful so far.

Jumping between multiple threads, I think, would be complicated and confusing.
However, having one thread devoted to descriptions would be helpful, and the castle and other areas could be added, too.
Maybe someone could even draw a map for it all to have there! *pokes Tamia's awesome skillz and gives her a cookie*

The multiple thread idea has been done before on another forum, and for all it was worth, it was great. But then that forum was dedicated wholly to roleplaying, and had a bigger and more solid roleplaying base to start off with. It's rather demanding really to keep track of what's happening in multiple threads, and for what we're doing now a single thread will suffice.
Wolf's idea of having a thread for notices and another one for character/character location descriptions is a good one though. Perhaps one thread a character explaining their appearance/background and other related things like rooms and other stuff might work out. Still, even that will require quite a bit of work.
Also, for the current roleplay, it would be better if there was someone to oversee the entire thing as a whole. Already several really minor discrepencies have cropped up, and some roleplayers are being a little sidelined. Perhaps a thread for OOC discussion would work.

[glow=teal,2,300]I like the idea of a thread for profiles and general OoC chat. And I think it might be good, if we had a 'Guild events' thread, for suggestions of things to do outside the RP. [/glow]

[shadow=purple,left,300]Yeah, most of the threads are barely being used and just sit there. The RP is pretty much where everything is, and maybe all we need is a map, if anyone's willing to volunteer to draw one, and if we really, REALLY need one.
We do need a persona thread, to keep track of everyone's (knight) personas, I agree, and I also agree with the idea of a OOC thread, which can be something like a random chat thread, or for informal roleplaying - the kind with god-moding and excessive use of asterisks. XD
Guild events...we can hold contests every now and then, and maybe we could keep a separate thread for suggestions instead of crowding the Welcome thread, which can just be a place for new knights to introduce themselves and get acquainted with the guild.[/shadow]

>.> *pockets cookie* Why thank you, M'Lord Wolf.
If we think we need a map and no one else steps forward, I could definitely try. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone's ever seen my buildings before. They're a disgrace to architecture everywhere. j;) As well, I might be tied up with other things for a while here as it is, since I've already volunteered to draw occasional scenes from the roleplay, and I really wouldn't want to hold things up. If anyone else is willing to be the cartographer, they should have first consideration. If there's no one else, all I can say is that I can try. =3 I might learn something about drawing small buildings and rooms that look like more than puddles of mud.
