The question is rather self-explanatory... All NTWFers may vote. If you're not a Knight, please, be honest in choosing the name you feel would better suit the city. I'll end the poll in a while, after I feel enough votes have been amassed for the decision to be deemed fair. I'm actually equally in favor of both names, so however long I may wait to end this, it's definitely not in attempt to fix the results, I assure you of this. FALCORUM — Latin, "Of the falcons"
PALISADE — a fence of pales or stakes set firmly in the ground, as for enclosure or defense It's interesting to note that both have the same amount of letters in them..... Let the voting begin.

Tough choice. At least I can be pleased no matter which one is chosen. =D
I chose Palisade in the end, for no other reason than because it hints at the history of the Castle and how the village grew up alongside it.

Hmmm..... As Tamia said: tough choice.
Meditate on this, I will.
EDIT: In the end, even though it hints at a history, Palisade just doesn't... feel right to me.

I chose Falcorum. I think it sounds cool...and more of a 'name' to me, whereas my mind always shows Palisade as a 'thing'.

I agree with Pyro. As much as Palisade is a nice name, it's still not a name. But I'm still unlikely to vote, because I like both names.

I've thought long and hard about it, and I've come to agree with Pyro and Shade.
Ergo, I finally chose Falcorum. But the deciding margin was very small.
It seems the votes are getting close, though.

... And someone's gone tied it up now. xD; I wonder if there's a way to incorporate both names somehow....
Hmm. Should the votes stay close, could we possibly use "Palisade" in the same way we came up with "South Gate"? A little village as a part of the whole, in this case, the whole being a city called Falcorum?

Maybe Palisade could be an area of the city? Like how, say, Manhattan is unofficially split into Midtown, Lower East, Upper West, etc. ^_^

...And somehow, Palisade's in the lead again...
I think we could feasibly incorporate both into the name. I like the idea of having Falcorum the "whole" of the city, so perhaps...
Allow me to diverge for a moment (ignore this if you wish): I've always imagined the city being divided into rings (not necessarily perfect rings, but different areas surrounding some set point in the city, not necessarily the castle itself), so each of these "rings" could be called something else. Like, all the important buildings would probably be in the center ring (just outside the castle itself), like the Council Chamber (although that's already been said to be near the city's entrance, it could always be inferred that that meant the entrance of this particular ring), the library, the archival house, etc. In the next ring (moving outwards), we could have the merchants and the blacksmith, etc. Finally, in the last ring (not necessarily enclosed in an actual wall, since I figure this one could/would spread out over time) could be the housing area, where people live and such.... Of course, not all the rings are necessarily "complete," of course. I could *probably* sketch out a rather simple idea of what I mean to say, but have not done so so successfully....
In all, if I may find my way back to the original point of this post, one of these areas may be called Palisade, D.F. (for "District of Falcorum," of course XD ...I kid, I kid). However, this would also entail having to find even more names, and then keeping an actual map to avoid confusion, etc....

Like Tamia said, let's mash them together.
Palisade Falcorum.
Defence of the Falcons.

As was said earlier, 'palisade' seems more like a thing or type of place, whereas Falcorum sounds more like a name. Though Falcorum is more likely to be misspelt...

Though Falcorum is more likely to be misspelt... But they both have eight letters! Besides, things are misspelled all the time. I can't count how many times I've read "Dunb arrow" instead of "Dunb urrow" in the Guild Wars rp, but, then again, these have all been contained to the same person.... >.> Palisade Falcorum...Falcorum Palisade...hmm...I think I still prefer just Falcorum over those... ! ~!

"Dunbarrow" makes me think of a wheelbarrow. =D But really, I think we could get away with the city being most commonly referred to as Falcorum. We could "officially" dub it Palisade Falcorum, or we could go with Wolf's interesting idea about the concentric rings producing different districts. I have confidence that as long as everyone agrees on something, most of the roleplayers should be able to make it work.
