Um. =D Well. You type a "[" and then a "dice" and then an "=" and then a "2" and then a "]" and that's really about all there is to it! Does that explain it, sort of? I'll also post a more easy-to-use playing guide in the first post once the thread's up, since that one up there is a bit clunky and full of rambly hypotheses.
And yes! Indeed! I want to see at least one person get knocked out by a particularly overenthusiastic gauntlet throw and be unable to compete in the next round due to unconsciousness! Or something!

xD Yeah, I could totally see people RPing the challenges a bit. Like, when someone challenges someone else, they'd describe three different contests they want to participate in representing each of the three dices.

xDDD We could always make it something of a general "throw down the gauntlet" thread instead of restricting it to jousting? *shrugs* I am a fan of pie-making contests.
But yeah, I just want this game to be something that knights can participate in whenever they want, and put only as much creativity and thought into as they feel like putting in at the time. ^^ Because for me, writing out a decent roleplay post has never taken me less than an hour, and sometimes the thought of spending all that time and effort scares me away. This should be spontaneous and fun, and it should be whatever you want it to be. =D

Okay knightfolks. Sorry for the double post, but since this game is supposed to be dragging us out of our inactivity, I'm going to have to nag just this once. xD; The question is: jousting, or general throw-down-the-gauntlet game? Once I know which way most of the active peoples (of which there are not many) are leaning, I can set up the thread.

General throw-down-the-gauntlet sounds a good deal more entertaining. xD And is much more broad, which gives us more opportunity for the kind of fun spontaneity we're looking for. You could even have throwing-down-the-gauntlet duels!

General throw-down-the-gauntlet; people can always joust within that if they wish, anyway.
Andyeah. =D Should actually revivify roleplay. Shall hopefully do so within the next 24 hours, too. Poke me if I haven't, by tomorrow evening. xD

I like the throw down idea XD
We will battle in a game of tidily winks!

Yay unanimous vote! 8D Alright then, thanks! I'll try to get the thread set up as soon as I can (not tonight, though — I still need to draw a whack of left-handed blind contours before it's time for beautiful, beautiful sleep).

And let the roleplay live again. xD
Left it open for you guys to join Jay in heading to town, if you wish; otherwise I would've just written more of a textwall than I did.

If I remember right, my character was waiting on the others XD But I still need to re-read some of the posts after my last one

... Aw, no one's staying with Blacktail. xD Poor invalid knight. And him with such potentially-useful information, too.
Sarn, I was half-hoping you wouldn't give Burns permission to go, because it struck me suddenly that him bein' all disobedient-like would probably get him kicked out of the knights fairly quick, and that could actually be really interesting. xD Still trying to do good but severely limited, tagging annoyingly behind his former comrades in an effort to help ... quite a silly idea, really. I'll stick it in the back of my brain in case I get severely bored a few plot arcs from now. =D
... I am glad this is alive again. ^_^

I could edit my post now to give you the opportunity, but maybe it'd be more interesting if Burns disobeyed a more important order (and turned out to be right in doing so, which means Sarn gets OWNED!) xDDD Its up to you whether I edit or not. ^^

I haven't caught up with the new posts, but I suspect Tamia will stay. xD She's still waiting on an answer from Blacktail, and it would be rather rude of her to leave him half-dead one way or another.

Much more fun to whip a carpet out from someone's feet when they think they're standing solid on it than when they're on the edge. Things would've slipped into routine, maybe a few battle-hardened friendships made, and then ... =D I'm so evil to my characters. >.>; I haven't caught up with the new posts, but I suspect Tamia will stay. xD She's still waiting on an answer from Blacktail, and it would be rather rude of her to leave him half-dead one way or another. Well, that I assumed. xD But it looks almost as if it'd just be her who was staying while we all hare off after Renkin, and that'd leave just one knight guarding him, which would be, like, the perfect time for someone to ... try and kill him? Because of information? Or something? ... Right, right. I'll stop throwing out odd hypothetical distant plot ideas and actually write a post now, yes. xD;

Why, Rikku, why did I ever divorce you, you wonderful woman with a fantastic mind. Alas that I am pledged to one man for all eternity, else I would snatch you up. Anyway, I just thought I'd remind you all that Renkin is NOT my character, he is an NPC. I'll control him if no one else does, but pleasepleaseplease feel free to make him do whatever. He's got no real character right now and the only thing that's known about him is that he's a doc, he takes care of himself first and feels guilty about it. =D I've got no plans for him so jump right in with your own.
