I know she's fine, I just can't remember who she is! The only person who I think would take time to PM me that's not presently active would be Tamia or Fenrix, maybe Tirilia, but why would any of them not just say Tamia, Fenrix, or Tiri? I feel suddenly like I've been made victim of a very cruel joke... *sigh* At least their not blackmailing you if it is...

And it's a joke being played on everyone, if it's a joke at all. For some reason...I don't find that as comforting as I could.

So it has been said, so it shall be!
As no more have voted in the poll concerning the inner castle, I have decided that we might as well accept the unanimous vote as it stands, end the poll now, and make the positioning of the inner castle solid (mind the pun). Therefore, I have added the accepted proposal to the RP thread's opening post, and that is that.
I do have more planned, something rather...extreme, though till I can draw everything out, quite literally so, it's going nowhere. I hope to finish it all before Guild Wars ends, as it's of rather...critical proportions, though I think that gives me a little time to do work it all out.
What is it, though?
Hmm...well, to tell you I'd spoil the surprise. ^_^

I hope this Castle turns out better than mine. ^^^; It has four taped-on-falling-off towers, a roof that comes off, a yellow-and-white Great Hall, and a boarded-up Keep. Yay for getting together a project two days before due dates... *slap'd*

That's as good as I draw 'em, Emma.
I used graph paper for a reasonably alright, yet painfully simple, castle. But what I really want to do...well, I'm scared by sharp pencils and blank papers. But, if I try hard enough, and long enough, I might be able to do what I have in mind. I have it in mind wonderfully so, actually. It's just getting it on paper that's stopping me from being done. lol.

Great, I look forward to seeing it. ^_^ (By the way, erm, no, that definitely wasn't me who PMed you. I remember the name though - I haven't seen her for a while, but she used to frequent the boards. Don't think she ever became a knight though.)
Oh, as well, I'm sorry I sort of left a couple of people hanging on the New Day RP. ;__; Tamia's persona is going to be taking a little break from roleplays for a while. I'm finally pulling together some details for her, and while I straighten up her backstory and current abilities, I don't want to get in the way of current events. I think I'm going to write a story about Tamia leaving the castle to sort out some of her mysterious past. Hmm... I might include some other knights in it; should I write it as an NTWF story?

*crosses Tamia off the list of potential lunariikus* lol
That's quite fine, Tamia. The guild's rp is actually on hold until the the Guild Wars rp ends, so you probably have a considerable amount of time before we really start the roleplaying again.
If you want to write a story for your character, that's fine, and great, too! (I actually have one planned for my own character. ^_^) I'm not entirely sure what an NTWF story is, but if you write one, certainly link to it here. :)

I'm writing one too. A cliche, evil-stepmother type one. But different. xxx My castle's at school now. God only knows what the 8th grade did with it.

True, the eight grade is a strange place... *wonders as well* If you want your tektek avatar to have more "natural" proportions, I've found that 100 pixels tall by 70 pixels wide is a good size, give or take one or two on the width to adjust height or weight (I use 69 with mine, as I'm taller and skinnier than the avatar naturally is), though be sure to be sparing or it'll look disfigured.

Thankies. I fixed it. ^^^ Yes, 8thgraders have a tendency to destroy everything left in their classroom, I've found. Or Mr. Z lost it. Like he lost half the class's jump drives after that Greek God/Goddess Movie project majiggar.

DISCUSSION TOPIC: Council DutiesI've just recently announced the new members of the council (read the announcement here), and so here I am to present their proposed duties. After they have been discussed and decided upon, I'll create a Council thread with all the information easily accessible, though until things are certain I'll hold off on that. (However, from this point on, council members can start exercising their powers freely.) Note: the word "court" is here used in the sense of "a sovereign's council." The duties of the Court Marshal are —
- to head the army - to plan attacks - to manage weapons, ammunitions, and defenses The duties of the Royal Envoy are —
- to gather intelligence - to oversee foreign relationships (esp. w/ Ninjas and Pirates) - to charge foreigners with the right to expulsion - to advise the king to expel The duties of the Royal Archamage are —
- to handle affairs with the Mages - to oversee adherence to the laws of magic - to create such laws (with consent of the King) - to oversee (authorize and administrate) the use of magic by castle staff - to oversee (authorize and administrate) the education of those seeking to learn magic The duties of the Court Magistrate are —
- to oversee the distribution of lore (history) - to oversee the administration of education - to oversee the production of accurate maps - to counsel the king on matters of importance and provide aid where and when needed - to preside over internal affairs and ensure the wellbeing of the kingdom The duties of the Royal Arbiter are —
- to interpret the rules of the kingdom - to judge the cases arising in the kingdom - to judge validate the laws proposed by the Royal Archmage - to declare laws not concerning magic (with consent of the King) The duties of the Steward of Gondor Dunburrow are —
- to rule when the king is not present/unable to - to head the council - to direct the domestic affairs of the kingdom - to manage the kingdom’s property and treasury
- to keep the king warm and happy at night That said, I advise discussion. ^_^ As well, do you find it necessary to have a more formal ceremony, or was my announcement sufficient?

Hmm... *looks at my duties*
Let's see...
The first three are straightforward, though I'm not entirely sure how I could use them in the RP. Maybe I could be in charge of the castle's historical records/maps/library or something? That might be helpful if we need to search for particular information, particularly the history and description of whatever enemy we face. Unless we're trying to turn this into a more political RP? That seems harder to do, though. Not sure how the education thing would fit in otherwise.
Counseling I can do (and seems to fit in well with the RP environment), but the aid thing seems more open. What kind of aid would that be, beyond the normal expectations of a knight?
As for presiding over internal affairs... what exactly is meant by "internal affairs" and does this conflict/overlap with Shino's "direct[ing] the domestic affairs of the kingdom?" Domestic and internal are synonymous - are we working together at that, or are there two different things meant here?
Just trying to get a feel for what I should be doing, exactly, so I won't be overstepping any bounds. ^^;

Well, I pretty much get everything you've got for me, and whether or not we have a more formal ceremony is up to you, 'cause either way, it's fine with me. ^_^ I just find it strange that it's me managing the affairs of the Knights with the Mages, and not Ikkin, who's in charge of the Mages and is also a knight. XD Never mind.[/shadow]

Either way, I doubt that my position will have much influence on the roleplay. Like, how often do we have a court case happen anyway?
