[glow=teal,2,300]"Oh well. Keep up the good work, Lady Shade," Frozen remarked. "We mustn't drop our guard even during the ceremony."
The blue haired knight observed the sun. It was getting closer and closer to the halfway point of its journey.
"I should get going soon, m'lady. I have to prepare for the ceremony." With that, Frozen saluted the half-demon as he pushed open the gates and entered the castle walls.
The main hall was bustling with activity, but the knight had no time to stay. He pushed his way through the crowds to enter the right wing of the castle. [/glow]

"Greetings, Lady Kat," Pyro said, nodding in greeting. She held out the bundled tapestry as she flushed. "This tapestry was badly singed," she said, face completely expressionless. "I was wondering if you might have some suggestions for its repair. It is not in very bad condition, just the unfortunate victim of a small incident." She prayed that the other knight wouldn't ask too many questions and twitched her cloak tighter to her body to hide the sword still hanging at her waist.

Shino stood quickly and bowed before the Black Knight. "Good morning, m'lady." he brought himself back up and looked at the smoldered fabric in her hands. "I think my lady Kalianne can do wonders on that burnt ruin in your delicate hands." he smiled at Lady Kat and then looked at Lady Pyro.
"Will you be at the Ceremony of the King, this afternoon, m'lady?"

"Good morning, m'lord," Pyro returned the greeting and nodded. "Yes, indeed I shall be attending the ceremony. Are not all the knights doing such? But either way, I would not miss it for the world. There is sure to be excitement." She smiled.

Zari, immersed in a dreamlike reverie, didn't notice the steps and fell down half of them before righting herself with a quick spell. 'So many things to trip over.' She walk over to Pyro and examined the burnt tapestry in her hands. 'Lady Pyro, maybe you should control your blade more carefully. I can fix this if you wish.'

Pyro felt her face heat up once more, and struggled to keep a cool facade. "I will attempt to do so, Lady Zari," she said calmly. "I would be most grateful. Trust me, it will not occur again." She handed the tapestry carefully to Zari.

((Because I don't really want to spend half this post describing my appearance, that's why. If anyone wants, I could also draw other illustrations throughout the RP.)) Despite the refreshingly cool shade provided by the foliage, the air up in the tree's cluttered branches was becoming insufferably hot, and the Orange Knight's peaceful reprieve was cut short abruptly. Sitting up moodily on the branch she had been dozing on, she wiped a bead of sweat from her forehead with the back of her hand and twisted around, gripping a nearby limb for balance. Sure enough, sprawled on a limb behind her was an inky-furred cat with one white-dipped paw, blinking his bright green eyes at her in the sunlight. The cat yawned and flexed his claws in the tree bark. It is much later than you said you would be leaving. The thought came to Tamia like an audible voice, a voice that had become familiar to the knight ever since she had found the cat following her around her hometown of Millsford. She winced at the beams of light slanting through the gaps in the tree's canopy. "Actually, I don't think I'll be leaving at all." The cat stretched languidly and rose to a sitting position. He delicately lifted his snowy paw and began to wash his ears. Hiding in this tree is not helping you get ready for the Ceremony."Hiding! Oran! I'm not hiding. I merely don't want to get in the way of the preparations..." Oran stared back at her intensely, unblinking. Tamia bit her lip and leapt down from the tree, feeling the impact through ankles that had been cramped up for far too long. "Here I go to get ready for the Ceremony," she grumbled, straightening her orange tunic and setting off across the courtyard.

((Bah. I want to do something, so I'm going to say that Shade's off duty early for the ceremony.))
Not long after Frozen left, Shade was called off the gate and relieved of duty. As soon as she was free, Shade started walking towards the practice rooms, idly playing with a dagger.

Zari gave Pyro a small smile, then watched the tapestry intently. Her gaze shifted, and her long-fingered hands glowed faintly. 'There you are' she said, handing back the repaired tapestry and brushing her long brown hair away from her tawny eyes. She curtsied to Shino and Kat, then left the hallway, humming quietly

"Well, that was some fine work on the tapestry," called Kat, as Zari left them. "Just be careful where you swing your sword next time, okay?" She looked at Pyro. "Now that you're here, I guess you AND Sir Shino will be hearing my views on the upcoming Ceremony."
She took the fine silver chain hanging from her neck and concealed by her robe. A glistening silver crescent, shiny enough to be used as a tiny mirror, began to glow a faint amethyst, the color of most of Kat's magic. Soon even the air around the mage took on a purplish tinge.
"Darkness is a very hard magic to track and find, due to its nature," she said, still clutching the moon pendant which glowed along with her. "But with the proper use of light magic, it won't be too hard to scry. Now..."
Her voice trailed off as she closed her eyes. The feeling of serenity and control, which often took over her and calmed her down whenever she used a spell she was very familiar with, was dotted with twitches of unrest. Her bird's eye view of the kingdom, visible only to her as she scryed, was hazy - not a good sign.
"Something is amiss," Kat whispered, opening her eyes and ending the spell. The amethyst light evaporated into thin air, and she tucked the pendant back into her robe. "The Ceremony may not go as planned. We must stand by in case anything goes wrong, which is a possibility."

Shino nodded and looked on as Kat spoke and the purple-ish tint of the air around her started to glow dimly. He had a solemn look on his face and appeared to be in deep thought.
"I will post an extra guard around the ceremony. I will personally oversee the defense of this castle." He said after coming out of his thinking. He then looked at Kat while the air was still shimmering. "I will need you to talk with Sir Kit and cast a protection spell."

Zari appeared out of nowhere beside Kat. 'You saying shadow is evil and wrong?' she massaged her temples 'Ugh. I myself use shadow magic, and I'm not an evil idiot planning to take over the world.' she looked at the trio. 'Try not to use the dar-is-evil thing around me, darkness magic has made me emotional sensitive.' she smiled slightly. 'At the moment, I sense mild agression in the training grounds, one of the horses is a little jumpy, and...Discord down in the southern part of the village. A family arguement.' she stopped and leaned on her staff. 'I need a rest.' A flicker in the air and she was gone, reappearing in her room. 'Shadows are so misunderstood.' she muttered, looking out the window. 'Maybe I can change that.' 'Maybe, Zari' Zahaere Emaya, her companion, a white cat with Black-backed ears and black-dipped limbs, said quietly. 'For now, you go be a knight. Shed that cold exterior for once!'
((Whoa...Crazy Knight.))

Whilst waiting for Lady Fenrix to take up her bow and attempt to strike the still-prancing about targets, Lord Wolf turned towards his side and faced the forest in the distance.
Its lush green foliage was but a blur upon the horizon.
He had once come form that very forest, and in fact the first years of his life had been lived within its glorious confines. And if it had not been for his time there, his art of earth magic would have never been learned... and his affinity with the wolves would never have come into existence. Nor would his aquiline ancestry have been made known. Or his companionship with dragons founded.
He reminisced for a moment more, missing the family that he had left behind upon his departure from the trees.
But that life had passed since that time, and so had his family most likely.
Yet, if not for that life, he would not be where he stood today, and he knew that, and was thankful.
He swept his gaze back across the training field before him and his fellow knight. He sighed at his failed accomplishment. He had aimed for perfect center three times a moment before, and had met the feat flawlessly twice, yet on his third strike, he had missed it by mere threads. He was uncertain if the Amber Knight would notice this, but with his sight of observation, he noticed it, and knew that if Fenrix did not, he would tell her. It would be cheating in his eyes otherwise.
Wolf turned his eyes back upon the Castle of Dunburrow, wondering about the goings-on inside its regal walls. He wondered how much longer he would be forced to wait to know who would be crowned king, or crowned queen. After all, it was just a bit more than a while short of noon now (had time... flowed backwards while he had been in the library? or had his delusion of sleeping late been just that, a delusion?) and the coronation had been planned for high noon exactly; the seconds were ticking past, closer and closer still, and time was passing away with every second spent waiting...
He turned back to face Fenrix, wondering how much longer he would spend waiting... ((Yes, Fenrix, I would like you to take your shot now... And, Tamia, your illustrations are both quite amazing and quite entertaining!))

"It's not that darkness is evil in itself, but it is a favored magic among the evil. There is good darkness, and the evil kind, and the latter is the one I see. Years of training can give you a sort of instinct that can help you distinguish between the two," said Kat, before Lady Zari vanished.
The knight-mage sighed. "Indeed, I shall talk to Sir Kit," she said to Shino. "But not only will we need guards, we will need real knights - ourselves - to not only attend the festivities, but also make sure they go according to plan. Now, if I may ask, where is Sir Kit?"

Pyro frowned as she watched Lady Kat, and heard the results of the scrying. Whilst Lady Zari made a quick appearance and disappearance, Pyro stood lost in thought.
"I am afraid I have no knowledge of Sir Kit's whereabouts," she said apologetically. "Lady Zari has said that there is mild aggression in the training grounds," she continued. "If, as you say, we shalt require ourselves to be alert and make sure the Ceremony is as planned, I shall seek out my fellow knights and spread the news. If there is need of me, I shall be at the training grounds, for I can practice,"she paused and turned slightly red, "away from any tapestries, and at the same time inform those who seem to be there."
She turned for the door. "Let me return this to its proper place. Lord Shino, Lady Kat," she bowed to them and turned to leave.
