"Finally.." The superior paused, then frowned. "Actually, I think that's everybody. So you four can-"
He was interrupted by a very loud, very feline screech. He whirled around in alarm, just in time to have a tiny ball of white fur dive onto his head.
The White Cat meowed frantically, clawing at the superiors head. He swatted it off in annoyance. "Who's cat is this?" He said angrily, eyeing the assembled ninjas suspiciously. "He's mine, sir." Jakie said nervously, walking up to take the cat from the superior. She smiled weakly up at him. "And uh.. If I may.. ask that if you need another ninja for the mission.. maybe I could go?"
"YOU want to go?" The superior said, trying not to laugh. "There are many ninja here who could be nominated for a Most Incompetent Ninja award-" He paused, his gaze falling upon PFA and Rain. "But you, Jakie, would win it without a doubt. But if you insist on giving me those puppy eyes then I guess I don't have much choice. You can go along with the others." Jakie grinned, the insult flying over her head. "Thank you sir." She clutched TWC and bowed, then shuffled over behind the others, smiling.

"Actually, I think that's everybody. So you four can-" ((I think we might also have a few nameless, godmodable ninja coming with us, but yeah. )) So now Jakie's coming with us, too... PFA thought. Well, the more the... merrier..."Those of you who will be going on this mission can prepare now," the superior said. "Get whatever you think you may need. You will leave once you are all ready." PFA gave the superior a bow, then started heading toward her quarters, where she could gather all the things she needed. Kunai, shuriken, katana... she wanted to be sure she would be able to fight, if it was so needed.

Zaha turned back and ran to her quarters. Since this operation was of both personal and ninja matters, she picked up the mahogany ankh staff and twirled around her head, then cracked it into the wall. The staff had been a gift from Zari, who still lived with the knights. It was her only link to her friend. She also packed a few poisons, weapons, and three changes of clothes, then wandered back to the strategic HQ.

Rain frowned and went back to her room to pack. She opened the listening pipe to the Strategic HQ in case she missed anything while packing. It had been a while since she had installed the pipe in her wall. It was a comfort, rather like a radio, except it received excellent reception and it was strictly talk radio. The girl sighed and looked around her room, trying to decide what to take. She didn't know how long this mission would last... or how long it would take them. Pack in the middle range and you'll only be moderately sorry, she decided. She swung her backpack off the wall and began fold a few clothes and put them into it. The backpack was soon zipped up (including a few books and extra papers and pencils--they were always useful) and the girl was packing her weapon's case. A dozen kunai and shuriken, a case of matches, five binding rods (with three sockets per rod and for a fairly good price, too!), and her favorite walking stick, which had proven very useful multiple times.
Rain sighed and slung her backpack on her back and tightened the sash that held her equipment snug against her waist. Then the girl headed up to the Strategic HQ to wait for further instructions.

Cat Assassin sighed as their superior ended the briefing. Upon the meeting's closure, everyone around him who had been called to join had already left the room in search for their weapons needed. The orange cat, however, made an unusual move.
Cat Assassin simply went to the Training Room and locked himself in so no one could enter. Sounds of moving walls and buttons could be heard from inside. No one really knew what was happening.
Minutes later, the orange cat unlocked the door, revealing a slightly teary but seemingly emotionless face. He thought he was all ready for the mission as he waited for his fellow cohorts to return.

Jakie scurried off to pack with TWC still in her arms. The cat complained quietly of being swung around as she scampered down the hall to her room. Dropping him gently on the bed, she began shoving what she considered essentials into her bag: several changes of clothes, a handful of kunai and shuriken, a notebook and a pencil, band-aids, some rope, her beloved owl necklace, and some candy bars. She slipped her katana and her Hurlbat into their respective holsters in her belt. She stood up with a yawn, slinging the bag over her shoulder and venturing back out to the HQ, TWC trailing after her.

Zaha glanced at Jakie as she entered the Strategic HQ, and inclined her head towards Rain. 'I wonder where Cat Asassain is.'

Once PFA was done packing, she headed back to the Strategic HQ, where the others were waiting. She got in just in time to hear Zaha say, "I wonder where Cat Asassain is."
"He's might still be packing," PFA suggested. "He shouldn't be too much longer, though."

Ever since he's gone... I have to cope up with PFA's needs as uncle...
But I'm not used to this...
Will I be able to protect PFA like how he did?
... I fear that I might not be as protective as he is...
... I hope you're here... I really need your guidance...
Cat Assassin's line of thoughts gave him enough time to walk right towards the Strategic HQ, coincidentally appearing right after PFA and Zaha questioned his whereabouts.

'Salve, Cat Assassin. We should go. The sooner this is over with, the better.' Zaha stalked towards the exit, tail twitching unhappily, ears back.

Just after PFA said that Cat Assassin would be coming soon, Cat Assassin walked into the room. See? PFA thought to say, but was interrupted by Zaha.
"Salve, Cat Assassin. We should go. The sooner this is over with, the better." said the cat, who then started toward the exit.
"Hey, wait--" PFA started, but Zaha had already left the room. PFA just sighed and muttered, "I thought we were waiting for instructions..."
"Your mission is to find the ninja rogue that has been causing trouble," the superior said, seeming to ignore the fact that Zaha wasn't there. "You must search many places. This ninja could be just about anywhere.
"Try not to let the ninja spot you; not at first. He may decide to attack as soon as he sees you. So simply, be careful. You may go now."
PFA blinked. At least Zaha didn't miss out on much... she thought. She bowed to the superior, then ran out of the room to try and catch up with Zaha.

Zaha turned to wait for the other ninja's to catch up with her. 'I heard our instrustions. I know this area well- Anyone else have any information that could be useful, at all? Bdcayse we all need to know anything you may know.'

' I heard our instructions. I know this area well- Anyone else have any information that could be useful, at all? Because we all need to know anything you may know,' Zaha asked. "Eh, I dunno," Rain muttered. "But there is one thing I'd like to know. How do we know what this ninja looks like? For all we know, he could be any doofus in a black get-up, even just masquerading as one of us..." The girl glanced down at her own t-shirt and jeans. "Well, I suppose he could be in anything, but as the pirate thought that he was a ninja, I'm guessing normal ninja attire. And for THAT matter, how do we know that the pirate didn't just kill off his own crew? Exactly what proof do we have that we don't have the maniac with us?" The girl crossed her arms. "Did we send out scouts to make sure that there are no other pirates right outside the legal bounds that we can patrol?" ((This is most probably a very lame post. But I'm tired. ...but I still think they're legitimate questions. I hope.))

'If you looked at that pirate, Rain, there are katana slashes all over his clothing. No pirate could ever be that artful with a cutlass, unless a ninja guided their hand. No, this is a Ninja were dealing with. This area is landlocked, and the locals are observant. I was outside this morning- no pirate scent. Rum and dirty socks. I smelt mage earlier, though.' Zaha frowned. 'Anything else?'

Rain frowned in turn. "Quite possibly. Consider this. An ex-ninja turned pirate decided to fool us all by washing themselved ritually every day and stopped drinking rum, just to snap our throats once and for all. Ninjas deserting HAS been known to happen, however rare and un-noted in the records that may be." The girl scuffed her shoe. While the truth was that she felt rather difficult all of a sudden and simply didn't want to leave her room for so long as it could require for a jaunt in the mountains looking for a rouge ninja. It was... unsettling, she decided.
