The only place where you could tie a rope so that it'll form a swing is the bowsprit (long pointy bar to hold the jibs) and it has another short bar attached to it, pointing down at the sea. The dophin-striker, or better known as the martingale. And loads of ropes attached to that, that also count as stays. Weird crooked reference right 'ere.
C'mon, reading the words next to a full-rigged ship drawing in the dictionary is no knowledge x3
In other words: ships are no fun. You can only swing between the masts if you tie the rope into the upper braces ^^
