As you wander through the halls of Mage Manor, letting it's magic take you where it will, you stumble upon a noticeboard. Interested, you lean closer and see a piece of papyrus, magically attatched to the wall. The edges of the paper are singed and a faint smell of smoke lingers. The legend reads, "Fire Magic: Basic to Advanced". You see an arrow pointing to a door to your right. That door wasn't there before...?
Good day to you all, mages of all kinds. Welcome to Fire Magic 101. Lessons will consist of two parts, theory and practice. There will also be time for mock duels to test your skills in the arena as you learn them.
We will start this term with basic fire magic, shifting and shaping and then move on to the more advanced practices of projection, shielding and perhaps, for those of you who show a particular skill for the art of Fire Magic, I shall show you how to create fire that lives and obeys your commands.
You will need little in the way of materials for this class as most of it will end up a pile of ashes but it would be good if you had the following items with you each class.
Fire Scroll
Mordak's Fire Legends (you can find a copy in the Manor's library)
Papyrus, quill and ink for personal notes
The sign-up sheet is located on my desk, all students are welcome and your work will be graded in the old Mage fasion.
Passing Marks
B (better then most)
G (getting there but still not as good as it should be tsk tsk)
P (pretty darn awful if you ask me)
Failure Marks
M (mindbogglingly bad)
Y (why the heck did I let you in my class?)
R (right, bugger off)
