[glow=green,2,300]Class is in session! Well not yet I've just always wanted to say that. Anyways I'm Cyborg earth mage extrodinaire and as far as I know the only earth mage in here who can control both forms of earth magic : plants and rocks/ground. I will be covering both and I would just like to say if you fool around you'll get a rock to the head. You will be given at least one test on each type. And there will be no yelling, whining, crying, shouting, teasing, etc in my class. On a less serious note I brought cupcakes. [/glow]

Omni had taken her seat fairly close to the front of the room and listened intently. This class around, she had brought paper and a pencil just in case she needed them. She was exited to start learning another element, and this was one which seemed to be less commonly practiced among NTWFers.

Slow movements?! Well that wasn't something Omni was expecting, but then again, this wasn't earthbending. Definitely something to take note about. She wrote that down as quickly as she could, as well as 'Concentration is KEY', 'Can be hard to learn' and 'Can make herbs'.

First put your hands together in front of you, like so. * puts hands out as if he was a clapping seal* Now concentrate and slowly pull your hands to your sides, if you did it properly a very large razor sharp leaf should have appeared. * cyborg does so and leaf appears*[/glow]

Alright... seems simple enough... Omni put her hand-paws in front of her and clapped them together. 'Concentrate' he said... Omni un-clapped her hands and raised one above her head. "Excuse me. What am I supposed to concentrate on? The shape of the leaf? How my energy is directed? Or what?"

Omni nodded briefly, and clapped her hands back together. She focused her thoughts on the image of a sharp leaf, drew her hands back, and placed them at her sides.
Nothing happened. Maybe I did it wrong. She clapped her hands again, and began to draw them back again, putting more of her energy into it.
Okay... why isn't it working? she thought. What might I be doing wrong...? He said to make this specific motion, and focus on what to be made, and the energy to be used. Could I...? Well it worked before, maybe it will work again.
"Excuse me," Omni said as she stepped closer to Cyborg. Once she was fairly close, she felt his aura and nicked a bit of his energy. She then reattempted the spell, but this time, instead of using her own energy, she used Cyborg's.
A leaf appeared. It was dulled and misshapen, but it was a leaf. "That's a step in the right direction,' she thought aloud. She then proceeded to try again, this time with a slightly different movement in case she got it wrong the first time.

An even more misshapen leaf appeared, due to the fact that Cyborg had started speaking as she was finishing the spell and broke her concentration. "Uh, okay." She focused and pulled some of her own energy out of her reserves. At least now she had already managed to make a couple leaves appear, however misshapen they may be. She pulled back her hands and placed them at her sides.
Nothing.
Okay, why is it that every attempt at doing a spell with my own energy has failed, at least thus far?

Chelley started her motions. She focused as hard as she could. Nothing happened!
She tried once more than a pebble appeared.
"umm Cyborg do I have to use more energy, concentrate harder, whats going wrong," Chelley asked.
As she wondered about what had gone wrong, she approached Cyborg with a clueless gaze.

A rock appeared not a size of a bunny but close to one in front of her. " Yay", she cheered. Then fell, he rock was too heavey for her to lift without her concentrating on it.

Omni, deciding that she'd work on perfecting her leaf later, tried for making a rock. She pictured the rock as she pulled her hands back to her hips. Before long a relatively-big rock appeared. It may have been a bit cracked, but her mind had wandered to a cracked rock at the end, and a rock was still what she had been aiming for. "Hey, I got it!"  |
